Rachel is fabulous. Got my dress altered in time for my engagement photos, over a holiday weekend, and had it ready sooner than I’d needed it. Very easy to work with and communicate with.

WARNING: Discriminates against men. She would not tailor *unisex* clothes (pants hem) because I was a male. Apparently trousers are considered mens garment not women, because its 1940, i guess. I can’t recommend because I don’t support businesses that discriminate.

Rachel was great! I went to her a little last minute (maybe a month in a half before my wedding) and she was able to help me out with my wedding gown alterations. I needed the dress to be hemmed, taken in on the sides and the tank top straps removed. I must admit, it was a challenge because of the way the dress was designed, but she made it work and I am forever grateful! AND she finished it a week in advance!
Her prices are reasonable and she was able to be flexible by working with my schedule. Very much appreciated!

She is very personable and easy to work with. The work was done well and in a very timely manner. Nothing was ever done until it had my approval and the cost was known. I would definitely recommend her to any friends and family! If I have anything I need altered again, she will be my go to! She made my dress fit perfectly for my wedding! I can’t wait to wear it!

I have had a few borderline disastrous experiences at local alterations places so I’m happy to have found Rachel. She works out of her house by Duke Med/​west campus and she did a great job on a minor alteration to my wedding dress. I’m looking forward to taking her everything!

Rachel is FANTASTIC.
She totally gets my vision and her quality is A+.
Communication is 100% and her turn around has been super reasonable and faster than I could have even hoped. She really knows her stuff. We discussed what I was looking to do with this hand-​me-​down dress that didn’t quite fit. She listened to my suggestions and gave me a few as well. It came out great. I’ll definitely be using her services in the future!
