This McDonalds makes other McDonalds look good. Where to start? The bad attitude and delays from the workers when they realize they have to take your order? The mistakes they make in the orders?(Forgetting to put cheese on Big Mac; giving honey-mustard dipping sauce instead of honey-mustard salad dressing for your salad?). The old, leathery scab flaps that they try to pass off as burgers? The disheveled and ramshackle appearance of the restaurant, with displays falling apart? I actually like some McDonalds, but this one. Never again. It is so consistently disappointing I will never go again. If I were the owner or manager, I would truly be embarrassed. On the positive side, if you want to convince someone to not move to Durham, this is one of the places you can send them.

I was repeatedly tapping my screen on the star hoping I could select a half star rather then an entire one. That’s how horrible of an experience I have had each and every time I have come to this particular McDonalds. Wether it’s slow time, nonchalant customer service, food coming incorrect or partially filled orders with no explanation or apology as to the fact. Tonight shenanigans were as follows. I order 2 mcDoubles no onion. One still had onions in it. The food wasn’t even hot. fries are the WORST cold. I just hate this location. I say that and continue to go back. But I think I’m done. It’s just sad.

This mcdonalds always forgets at least one item whether it be @ the drive thru dine in or to go. Buyer beware check for ever thing. And when they forget the receipt they don’t care about that either.

Employees were pleasant, but drive-thru set or was slow. Food was a bit overdone. I ordered an Egg McMuffin meal. The muffin had blackened areas and the hashbrown was cool and hard.

Every time I go to this particular one I’m waiting along time. Usually through the drive through and almost every time the employees act as if there mad at me that I’m waiting a long time for my food

When I get a carving for McDonald’s its usually because I want a burger, fries and a shake and as a corporation they are consistant. I drove through and ordered a Quarter Pounder with cheese meal with fries and a shake. Granted the shake is not part of the established value meal. To me this doesn’t seem like a complicated order. As i drove the the line, I saw/heard the man in front of me take an order take it out of the bag, eat a fry and check the burger, then pass it back stating it wasn’t his. They did pass him and order that he drove off with. When I got to the window, they confirmed my order and passed me a bag that looked crumbled. I asked if this was the bag that man in front of me just passed back. Wide eyed and sheepishly he held onto the back and said no… I accepted the bag and looked inside, I tasted a fry and requested warm fries. While I waited for the exchange, it was evident, through the drive in window, employees were playing with their hair, noses and cellphone, ungloved and passing food long on trays and in bags inside the restaurant. He provided and new order of fries, and shut the window, hurrying for the next order. I waited. when he returned he opened the window just looking at me. I stated I was waiting for the rest of my order, a shake. He saw the deflated shake on the counter and passed it to me. I reminded him, I was asked if I wanted whipped cream and I replied no. the shake had whipped cream. He asked me to pull around and someone would bring me my shake. After a 4 – 5 minute wait, i measured the time by the songs on the radio, I got back in the drive thru line. returned to the window explaining i was on break and had to get back to work. He called out for my shake, employees just looked at me through the drive through window. By this time I finished the majority of my meal, i requested to speak to a manager. Subsequently, a series of falsely confident women came to the window, three in all, saying they were managers, although when I ask them their name, they wouldn’t identify themselves by name. The final woman demanded’”Do you have your full order now!” as she rolled her eyes and let the window slide close, I slid it back open, requesting a straw. Again blank looks of incompetence. The man gave me a straw and I requested the name of the manager again. I informed him I was going to make a complaint, he stammered, «he was new and didn’t know the manager’s name.» I felt sad for him, so desperate to hold onto this job. There are other McDonald’s options in Durham, choose wisely.

Tonight me, my boyfriend Willie, and my friend Nellie went to McDonalds. The service was not good at all. Keisha Baker and the rest of the staff was talking and being on there cell phone. The grade is not even good either. My food was wrong and cheese won’t melted at all.

I have only been to this location a few times and it’s usually when I have no other choice. I never really see other people at this location. The drive thru is poorly designed in my opinion. It optimizes space for them but from the customer perspective it wasn’t for the benefit of the customer. I’ve had to wait every single times I’ve been. The last time I went for a small smoothie and had to wait over 5 minutes I was the only person in the drive thru and there were at least two people working. There are better options available depending on the time of day. This whole road is filled with fast food.

I visit this McDonalds every single morning during the week to grab a cup of coffee on my way to work. The parking here is very poor, but the cashiers are always extremely nice(even though the older gentleman called me sir one day). The older African American woman at the drive thru is so friendly, she always tells me good morning, smiles, and always tells me to have a great day, she really does makes my morning everyday! The food here is always hot and fresh, and I have never experienced any issues here except for the poor parking. Great place to grab a quick bite to eat on-the-go!

«Too many better fast food options nearby» Update on previous review– I had several cases where they got parts of my order wrong here, but I decided previously not to harp on that. But it’s continuous, and the other reviews mention it as well. The problem is at multiple levels, too– sometimes it’s rung up wrong(had to argue today when my order was $ 2 more than what the menu said), sometimes it’s rung up correctly but bagged wrong or just not even what’s on the receipt. There’s just no excuse– this isn’t hard, so many other McDonalds do it better, and there are so many other fast food places nearby. I’m fed up with this one… even if I want a McD’s burger, I’ll either go on Duke’s campus or to the store by South Square, both of which are much more on-the-ball.

Pretty poor even by McDonalds’ standards. Issues that come up on repeated trips that are causing me to even bother rating a McDonalds location: 1) Incorrect items given. Order one thing and get another — very common at this location and I’m not sure why. Make sure you check that you got what you asked for and do it at the window if ordered drive-thru because it is always chaos when you go in and tell them you are missing something. 2) Ice-cream machine is always broken. This hasn’t happened in a month or two but wow the number of times I have asked for a McFlurry and have been told the machine is broken — I could swear the machine is fine and they just didn’t want to bother making the ice cream for me because nothing breaks that often. 3) Only one drive-thru window ever seems to be working and it’s like some guessing game to figure out which one to go to. In the end it’s just fast food, it’s hard to complain when you’re getting $ 1 burgers but when other McDonalds locations do so much better at their job you have to start wondering(and reviewing).
