I had the hibachi, it was delicious and the hibachi chef is hilarious and very skillful and engaging. Reservation is highly recommended and you need 8 people for an entire table. They will play drum for you for your birthday and the hibachi chef will also do something special. There are cheap and more expensive options for hibachi, and we always order sushi as appetizer. Food: Salmon, chicken and tuna are all delicious. For hibachi, you receive a soup, and salad in addition. Try the sesame dressing, it is delicious. Parking: free around the restaurant

I thought this would be a great place to eat. The food was great when I ate it, but later that night I was on the toilet all night. I believe that I got food poisoning from this place. I still did not feel great the next day. I would not recommend this place.

Had horrible experience at Kanki yesterday! ! The chef was such a sexual pervert. Had nerve to tell a nice family’s mother that he would give her a personal lesson at his house! Have to commend both the father & son who were both very upset for not beating the crap out of this jerk! This situation could have got very messy!

Extremely unhappy with the experience I had last night. The food was bland, rubbery, and overcooked. Additionally, the chef was demeaning and sexist. He referred to the men at the table as «Sir» and the women as «Wifey.» He made disgusting comments about getting women drunk and then offered the men more food because«they were paying the bill.» i’ll never go back here again.

I love hibachi! I love coming here. Yes, it’s the same table act from the 90’s, but the food is on point! Here’s a pro tip for you… order extra rice and vegetables and you’ll have lunch for the following day(maybe even two). I’ve been doing that for years. Also, the salad comes with ginger dressing, which is pretty awesome. I would urge you to try their sesame dressing, however, I’ve not eaten the ginger since I tried it! It’s bananas yo!

This place is an act. Don’t go expecting to eat good food. Sushi was below mediocre. Server was horrible.

Wonderful bartender. Amazing food. Chicken hibachi tastee. Hubby liked his noddle dish. Drinks were lovely. I adored the blood orange cocktail. Amazing décor and friendly service. Godzilla drink was over the top but reminded me of a green apple jollyrancher lol.

They assumed we wanted to be seated at hibachi table. We only wanted to enjoy sushi. Disappointed they use imitation crab and lobster. I don’t eat crab with a ‘k’!

I love Kanki, it is one of our favorite restaurants! The Budakon roll in particular is delicious, and a must have every time we go. It’s a great place for sure!

Jin is the best sushi chef in town. Honestly some of the best rolls. And the best part is that sake is only 2.99 on Thursday! Love this place!

My first experience at this particular Japanese steak house, needless to say it was pretty fantastic. Our chef was top notch and might be the reason I gave it a 5 star. The design is very appealing, and there is a neat looking fish tank right at entrance.

I would give zero if I can. Why is this a Japanese place? Just because someone is cooking in front of you on a flat cooktop??? Nothing in this place says Japanese too me. The cooking is not funny but childish. Don’t get me started on the price. I am surprised that this place is still in business…

Sushi is always decent, although the last visit in June did not seem to be as good as usual, maybe an off night?. The sushi menu has a very nice selection with pictures and always seems very fresh. It is pricey so it is not a restaurant we visit often. I always sit in the sushi bar area and the server has always been the same young gentleman. He is proficient enough although does not seem to be a very happy fellow. My boyfriend stated the hibachi was just okay, but I rate it on the sushi since this is what I order when I visit. The Firecracker roll is delicious.

5 star for the variety and quality of sushi, 3 for ambiance and friendliness of waitstaff. They a nice selection of the basic sushi rolls and some great specialties. I particularly like their spicy tuna. The area by the sushi bar is very cramped. The tables for 4 are too small, they need to be replaced.

Well, we gave Kanki another try … We got there shortly after they opened on a Sunday, around 12:30, and grabbed our favorite table from the time when we were regulars a couple of years ago. It was all downhill from there. First of all, the atmosphere was ruined by this awful, and awfully loud, «club music». It was a generic DJ mix with some anonymous woman wailing away on nearly every track. It was absolutely dreadful. Nobody wants to hear this on a Sunday afternoon, especially at that volume. Secondly, the service was not what it should have been. The waiter was nice to look at but he either didn’t know what he was doing or just didn’t care. I thought he was going to break the glass when he set the green tea down on the table, and the food was similarly slapped down in front of us. It also took much longer than it should have to place our order. Only three tables were occupied. Last but not least, the meal wasn’t good. We both ordered the sashimi regular dinner that came with miso soup, a salad, and a bowl of rice. The miso soup had way more seaweed, tofu, and mushrooms than I’d ever seen anywhere else, but it lacked any discernable miso flavor. The salad with ginger dressing was the best part of the meal. I have no issue at all with the salad. Although the cuts of sashimi were generous, the middle part of the fish was entirely too cold to serve. It was not pleasant to eat. I’m not sure why they’d serve such a big bowl of rice with the meal but it was terrible. There was absolutely no flavor there. Nothing. I even splashed a little soy sauce on it and that didn’t help. Was the soy sauce watered down? My dining companion and I know our way around Japanese food, and we both agree that this was not a good experience. I doubt we’ll ever go back.

Once upon a time, I think they had a BOGO deal just like Shiki. But, apparently not anymore. The sushi was okay, but there are better options not too far away. We stopped by because we were hungry after an outing at the Home Depot across the street. The best part was that we sat in the bar area at a high top table near the big aquarium tube. I have not tried their teppanyaki. Our seat was also near the front door, and we got to watch the flow of guests throughout our meal. It gets busy, so I would recommend reservations.
