Itailian Pizzeria

First off… Amazing!!! I’ve been missing my lil Italian place back home, That’s Amore, back in New Smyrna Beach, FL. It’s one of those places you walk into to and feel instantly at home the owner, Vincenzo, is straight out of Italy and even drives a Vespa. The pizza is out of this world and I haven’t found a place that had comparable pizza near me. Italian Pizzeria 3 in Chapel Hill is great but a lil too far and the parking sucks. I went to Italian Pizzeria on Hillsborough Rd. this evening and the pizza is wonderful, the prices are also fair.
We got a large pepperoni which is huge and fed 3 hungry pre teen boys and a medium sausage and green pepper. Both our Neapolitan style pizzas were very tasty, perfectly cheesy and had great crust. If you want yummy Italian style pizza please try… Only issue is there is no beer or wine sold here.

When you walk in it looks like a dive… but its a dive with great food. I have lived in Durham since 1986 and it has the same pictures on the wall that it had when I first walked into it 30 years ago. Décor and booths etc are exactly the same. The pizza… FANTASTIC. Every time we order a pizza from there take out or other wise people who haven’t tried before says the same thing. «That’s one of the best pizzas i have ever had.» My pref is the Supreme (the one with everything on it) Extremely good. Its a thin NY style pizza cooked to perfection. Their Steak & cheese subs also another winner. Honestly there isn’t much their that isn’t at least good. If you love good pizza though this is the joint to get it from at least in Durham. They also have a deep dish pizza as well takes twice as long to cook keep that in mind EXTREMELY filling. Order half the size you would generally want. One piece is like two of the NY style slices. Reasonable prices.

Go for the cheesesteak loaded. It is huge! And I love the pizza too! A true Italian operated place that is just delicious!

OMG! We finally found a place that has awesome cheesesteaks! It’s loaded with juicy meat and served piping hot. Very flavorful. Their pizza and also their Sicilian pizza are yummy as well. When you walk in, you are getting the real deal. The folks that own the place speak Italian and their food is just as authentic. It’s now our Wednesday night «go to» for take out.
They also have inside seating and it’s all very clean.
I can’t recommend this place enough!

Love this place! They have the best cheese steak. Very friendly and clean location. They are currently running a lunch special with 2 slices of cheese pizza, a side salad, drink and 2 bread sticks for 6.45! So much food for so little and the pizza slices are HUGE! My go to spot for lunch on Friday’s.

Very good cheesesteaks and pizza. Reminds me of local shops growing up in Philly. Very quickly has become my go to spot in this area. Folks working are really good people and are attentive. My only complaint is they’re closed on Sunday which killed me a couple of times during football season.

Very nice place, they have great philly cheesesteaks and they don’t skimp. I highly recommend this place as your go-​to pizza place. This is a fantastic Italian restaurant.

Today I was with my family to italian pizzeria sandwich we ordered pizza and cheese steak, the pizza was soft and tasty and the sandwich toasted to perfection and full of meat, I never eaten a sandwich and a pizza so anywhere, the service was great and we have not wait to much!!! I will return to try other items on the menu

The restaurant is clean but not built for comfort. Small 70’s style seating thats welded in place. so if you need to move a chair for more room too bad. You order at a counter and pay then wait for the food. Everything is cooked to order and comes out piping hot. So hot in fact that I had to wait 15 minutes for my cheese steak to cool enough to eat! The cheese steak sub was so greasy that it left a puddle in the basket. The fries were also greasy and just not good. The taste was fine. just greasy. Pizza was OK. They seemed to be doing a lot of take out business. For me though. if I did return here, which I doubt, I would get it to go due to the seating arrangement. The prices were high for what you get. OK just no reason to return given all the other food in the area.
