Fresh, fast and yummy! Their fried fish tacos are the best in town, hands down. Their online ordering is pretty sweet too — you just walk in and pick it up.

Best in town. Beware this is not New Mexican food nor is it Tex-Mex.

It was ok. It reminded me of Chipotle! But I thought Chipotle was actually better! Disappointed on the taste of the food and we ordered a variety. Even the Jamaica drink was not good at all.

If you have been to a real taco shop, don’t go to this place. I had a carne asada burrito and a quesadilla. The tortillas were undercooked and the food was bland. Very surprised at the Unilocal rating.

This place sucks. The star-rating system need not apply for this dump. Think Chipotle-like ordering style made by the area’s college sophomores. Going through the motions when fixing meals — more of a fast food style eatery that should be avoided. Do not fall trap to this place even when your Mexican cravings are at it’s strongest, for you will leave feeling like an idiot.

Excellent tacos and burritos. I order the wahoo tacos or bowl and just tell them to make it their style.

Crazy good food. Fresh local ingredients and a chill environment. Rice bowls with an extra side of chips is what’s up! Not to mention it’s one of the more affordable eats in Durango.

Tia Taqueria is an exact rip-off of the Chipotle chain of fast food restaurants. The menu is similar, the assembly-line production of food is identical, and the décor and furniture will feel very familiar to anyone who has eaten at Chipotle. What is NOT similar to Chipotle is the quality of the food. Every item on my plate(tamale, rice, and beans) was barely warm. The rice was okay, the beans flavorless. The tamale was a joke. It was huge, about the size of small loaf of bread. The cornmeal was thickly applied and hard(as in, you need a knife to cut it), which kinda defeats the purpose of steaming a tamale. I had chicken filling and the chicken was tough and stringy, with no flavor(despite the reddish color of the meat). This is a popular place with locals. But you won’t get Mexican good here.

I have been going to Zia for 8 years now and have always been thrilled with the food and service. Even though Durango is far from the ocean, Zia has fish tacos that could stand up to any served on the coast. They are TODIEFOR! They offer locally raised meats and locally grown beans which is a huge plus! If you’re in Durango, Zia is a must. It makes places like Chipotle and QDoba look like Taco Bell.

You literally can’t go wrong with this joint. Get a salad bowl to go, throw in your faves, and shake it like a Polaroid picture– the best. Both locations rock and the students that work them are nice and conversationally friendly. Or respect your privacy if you’re not feeling it that day. I used to be bummed that there’s no Chipotle here in my lil college town, but Zia’s outshines it anyway.

So good. I got a fish salad bowl with the mango salsa and guac and it was perfect. Seriously. Fresh ingredients and I felt awesome after I ate it. Yum! We always stop here when driving through Durango to lake Powell. You should too!

This place will take Qdoba and Chipotle in a bare knuckle boxing match any day of the week! Fresh locally sourced ingredients, and great crews working make this place a great stop for a quick bit while in town. Daily specials and fantastic local brews keep things hoppin’ day and night. With two locations in town you are a quick drive no matter where you’re coming from, but let’s be honest, it’s not like you’re gonna get stuck in bumper to bumper, rush hour traffic in Durango. Be sure to try the mango habanero salsa when you go, it’s a real kick in the pants treat!

Great burritos. Friendly staff and very clean restaurant. I really enjoyed the habanero mango salsa.

The food choices were delicious, the staff was organized and clean, and the restaurant itself was in great shape. We had nachos, margaritas, salad, and fish tacos, and loved all of it. It is set up like Qdoba or Chipotle, but with a local feel. I personally love Qdoba but live in a Qdobaless town, so I was stoked. The fish tacos were really good, and so was my salad. The portions were generous. Visit if you are in the mood for«fast-ish» Mexican food in Durango.
