Of the 4 at our table, only one had a meal that rose above average. Two of us had grilled Mahi Mahi served in a bowl on top of a pea-size pasta with a few roasted cherry tomatoes. Fish was cooked perfectly but overall flavor was quite bland. Sparse seasoning on any component of the dish. Altogether a miss. Next person had shrimp and grits. They said the grits were MIA, more like shrimp on corn kernels. Not bad but again average. Last person had chicken saltimboca. This dish was tender, moist and of excellent flavor. But this was the only entrée that measured up to expectations or was worth the price charged. Sorry — overrated and overpriced. NOTE: we had dinner at two other restaurants in Durango that were definitely worth a visit. See other reviews.

Excellent additions to the seasonal menu. The Lime Tequila Shrimp appetizer was great as were our Jalapeño Margaritas! Filet with Point Reyes Blue Cheese Sauce was also excellent!

Val, my man Val. Say it’s your birthday. You’re a bit of a food snob, and as such you want to dine well on your night. Let’s also say you aren’t in any of the cities you typically dine in which are actually well known for food(See: San Francisco, Chicago) but instead you are in Durango, Colorado. This is why Unilocal was invented: Seasons was clearly the standout spot in this beautiful, fascinating town per Unilocal and my experience was on par with everything I read about. Food: Between the GF and I, we had the filet, the mahi mahi, the artisan bread, and an assortment of freshly prepared veggies. Everything was excellent. The filet was special though — almost as if it came straight from some ranch that morning. Further, our excellent server Val hooked us up with two desserts. We had the blueberry cobbler and the tiramisu. The blueberry cobbler was piping hot and topped with amazing vanilla ice cream, while the tiramisu was easily one of the best I’ve had. Finally, the cocktails were excellent — I had a barrel aged Manhattan which was clearly a big task for my 165 lb frame to handle :) Atmosphere: We sat in the patio towards the back of the restaurant — it’s a relaxing space and can help shield the sun on warmer days given the way it’s setup. Service: Our server Val was top notch. Throughout our time, he was attentive and all of his suggestions turned out to be on point. Further, he was just a lovable dude who clearly was confident about the restaurant’s offerings. Happy birthday to me.

I cannot recommend this place enough. My boyfriend and I were in Durango for a wedding this past weekend. My boyfriend’s was the day before so we were looking for a spot to celebrate. We chose to sit on the patio out back which created the perfect outdoor atmosphere while also sheltering us from the direct sung light! Our cocktails were on point. My boyfriend’s Manhattan was amazing. Shockingly I deferred from my usual old fashioned and tried a refreshing cocktail including vodka citron, elderflower and two other items I now forget. It was perfect for the weather. For dinner we opted for the evening specials per the recommendation of our amazing server, Val. I chose the local corn fed Filet Mignon which literally melted like butter in my mouth. I also had my first encounter with the vegetable– broccolini. Truly a delight. My boyfriend chose the special mahi mahi. I’m not a fish eater but I was told it was amazing and he’s not one to lie. After consulting Val on the dessert menu we chose the blueberry crisp which tasted like my grandmother had just pulled it out of the oven herself. Bön appetite! I had mentioned to our server that it was my boyfriend birthday hoping they would put a candle in the dessert. To my delight they did bring a candle but instead of being stuck in the crisp it was on top of the house tiramisu. The tiramisu was one of the best ones I have ever had. Overall, our experience here was amazing and our server provided the perfect service for a birthday celebration!

We had dinner here on a weeknight and luckily had made reservations. The wine was great, but not many familiar options(which is fine.) We asked for chefs choice on the meat & cheese plate – they picked Parmesan as one of the options which is pretty lame, and there was no meat. When we asked where the meat was, the waiter offered to get us another plate with meat options(it was his error as he only put in for cheese when we asked for both) for a charge. So yeah, they aren’t really big on service here… or giving away food for free, even the bread basket will cost you a few bucks. The salads were AWESOME. Really, really yummy.(We got the spinach and wedge.). And the blueberry cobbler for dessert was also fantastic. However, the main entreés were not so great. The chicken coq au vin was salty, and the gnocchi bologhnese was inedible. The gnocchi was all dried out and the sauce was SO salty you weren’t able to eat it. The waiter picked up the almost full gnocchi plate and didn’t even ask if there was something wrong with it. We didn’t even bother bringing it up after the cheese plate debacle. Bottom line — if you want a better meal, hit the Ore House. We went there the next night and everyone’s food was dynamite. Steaks were much better, entreés werent over seasoned, and the service was much better. The ambiance is nicer at Seasons, but that’s the only edge.

While it got off to a slow start, the service at the bar was great. The place had a nice, relaxing atmosphere, and many of the staff were friendly. I was indecisive about red or white wine to have with the fish of the day, and the bartender let me taste a few to make a decision. I went with the pinot noir, and it was a good fit. Also, I was not a fan of the side dish they were serving with the salmon(polenta, I believe), and they let me substitute with the Yukon potatoes.

My excitement over the menu item«summer pea and asparagus vegetarian risotto» was dashed by lovely Anna, who said the chef is subbing bok choy for asparagus. Nooooooooooo! — I’m not a fan of bok choy, and no other veggie item on the menu. I stayed open, but, really bok choy and asparagus are not good swaps. Recommend starting with the hearty artisinal bread bread, served with perfectly flavored and softened butter and oil/vinegar. Wedge salad — perfect hard boiled eggs. Overall, good, although I won’t be going back with that single veg option.

I really, really like this place. The menu is really easy for me to eat off of on my Ketogenic(high fat-low carb diet). I would recommend it to Paleo folks too. On vacation, it is hard to stick to my diet without worrying about flour or corn sneaking it’s way in. Having said that, I love to eat out! This place has tasty specials!

Came for the trout listed on menus but Unilocal doesn’t update often so they did not have it. They were so accommodating & made us a different fish dinner that was outstanding. Highly recommended this restaurant. Staff was friendly with great service!

The first time I stumbled into this establishment I was so hungry, I had been wondering around downtown and needed to eat. They close after lunch at 2:30, I walking in at 2:25 and they were still so happy to serve me and treat me as though I was the first lunch customer of the day. It very much interested me that this is a place that uses local food sources and they make the food as ordered. I had the JAMESRANCHBEEFCARPACCIO for lunch that day(as well as some thirst quenching lemon drop martinis), well, it was nothing short of divine. I’ve had other meals as well but the Carpaccio is always an appetizer for me when I visit there.

Great spot in the heart of downtown Durango. The food reminds me of California fresh. Ambiance is nice, service is great! Wasn’t that hungry so I ordered the mushroom soup(really creamy and had tons of mushroom) and a salad. If it’s your Birthday, they will comp you a dessert of your choice. I went with the Banana Cream pie(out of this world). Must check out this spot for a special occasion if visiting Durango

Seasons is an upscale restaurant on Durango’s Main St that serves a wide array of types of cuisine and an excellent selection of wine, beer and spirits. While I can say that the quality of the food here is excellent(as is the service), this place gets 3.5 stars from me rounded down to 3 because of small things that could be improved. Here is what I ate: –Carpaccio. The meat was excellent but the preparation was lacking. No lemon wedges, the arugula just piled on lacklusterly, and capers bombarded on the meat. But why wasn’t there a dab of good quality olive oil? Just little things missing. –Kale/beet salad. The kale was perfect tasting as were the carrots and chopped beets; here, they overdid the dressing. Too sweet, and too much vinegar. –the trout was pretty good and nicely seared. Here the excess arugula although good got in the way of the protein which I now craved. Again, good quality, just bad execution. — for dessert, I had the Cree brûlée which tastes eh. Loved the heated sugar but the custard was too stiff. All in all, I’d come here again, but given the excellent fresh ingredients used here, why not perfect the presentation and use of ingredients? All in all, enjoyed my eating experience. Excellent staff and service a very fresh food.

This place is simply worth the money. We had the Steakhouse Iceberg Wedge, Center-Cut Beef Sirloin, and the Scallop Nightly Special … chased with Palisade Peach Ice Cream. WOW! Are you hungry yet? If you want to celebrate while in Durango on vacation with an amazing meal — Seasons Grill is the place. The food was all incredible. Also, the service at the bar was exceptional. Aaron is a true Mixologist with a passion for pleasing customers. His attention to detail was spectacular and he made our evening at Seasons even more special. Thank you Aaron and thank you Seasons Grill for living up to your Stars. We will be back!!! :)

My wife and had a delightful meal and thoughtful considerate service. Bridgett was our server and we could have not been better off. If you are in Durango this a must stop for dinner. And yes the Banana Cream pie is all that it is said to be. Enjoy!

My husband and I ate here for our 3rd anniversary dinner on our trip to Durango this last weekend. We made reservations and were seated immediately. The table next to us was a little close, but not a big deal. Our server was really nice, knowledgable and took a lot of time helping us pick out wines and bringing us wines to taste as well. She helped us pick out great wines, we were both super pleased. We started with a cheese and salumi plate. I can’t remember specifically what we got, but I know it was all cow cheeses because we aren’t goat cheese people. The cheeses were delicious and the pancetta(the word«funky» was used in the description but was very delicious.) I had a Caesar salad which was crispy and yummy. For our entrees I had the filet and my husband had risotto with pancetta, and both were very good. But the real show stopper was the banana crème pie. Holy smokes… the waiter said that the regulars ask to be on a e-mailing list to be alerted when this pie becomes available and I can see why. It was the best pie(banana or otherwise) that I have ever had. I cannot stress enough the magical qualities of this pie. I was actually sad when we finished it because I know that I will not likely have it again for a very long time and it will make other pie seem unworthy. I wish I could go back for more pie…

Durango is by far my favorite road trip to date. Granted I haven’t been on a lot, but with many more to come I believe this one will continue to stand out amongst them. We decided to do a progressive dinner of sorts. What really ended up happening was HH at one place and dinner and dessert at Seasons Grill. At first glance we were a little worried it wasn’t super busy, after some time went by the place started filling up and our concerns disappeared. We opted to sit at the bar, and enjoy conversation with our excellent bartender while choosing our menu for the evening. To start we had the Hoisin BBQ Pork Ribs with a spicy slaw. Beautifully plated appetizer with plenty of ribs. Perfect to share. Don’t be afraid to get messy, I’m a firm believer that the messier the dish the tastier it will be. The BF and I devoured each savory bite and licked our fingers clean. We decided to share their Scallop entrée served with fava beans, radish, smoked ham vinaigrette, and a biscuit on the side. You wouldn’t necessarily think fava beans and radish with scallops but they totally work together. In fact the fava beans were a definite stand out. Scallops were cooked heavenly, nothing is better than a succulent scallop. Completely divine and the ham vinaigrette brought the flavors all together, savory, salty, and oh so elegant. We were planning on going on to a different destination for dessert but their homemade banana cream pie caught our eyes and our tongues and we just had to stay. Homemade buttery crust with fluffy and decadent banana cream topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. We scraped the plate clean, it looked like a plate out of the dishwasher it was so clean. I admit to becoming more and more of a pie woman. Maybe my next adventure in baking will be a banana cream pie. Did I mention the blackberry martini(s) I was drinking in between courses. Don’t remember the official number for the evening but it was more than one. Refreshing, not too sweet, and deceivingly deadly. Our next trip to Durango, and yes there will be a next trip, Seasons will be on the list of places to return to.
