Red Lantern closed… and is now Earth Girls, moved up from 18th street. The one time I’ve been I had their veggie chili and it was very good.

Red Lantern recently re-opened under new ownership. The couple who own it are very nice, I came in for lunch & they threw in a free brownie! They make a new soup every day or so, in house. I had a small soup & salad which was tasty. The soup was Minestrone w/parmesan. There were large chunks of squash & other veggies. The house made vinegarette so so yummy with my salad. & I loved the addition of craisins. It tasted yummy & healthy. It was just the right portion for my lunch, although I probably could have put down the larger size soup&salad. I’ll definitely go back.

Have been to the Red Lantern 3 times and planning to go back tomorrow for the corn bread(which I never liked until I tried theirs!) It is super cute and the lunch special is great $ 7 for hearty soup, side salad and a big chunk of bread. Very filling and Very tasty and won’t break my bank. There are not a lot of food options on north main(NOMA) so we were super glad when they moved in. Always go with a friend and order different things so you can try it all :)

Delicious sandwiches and yummy freshly-made sides, usually served by the proprietor herself. The catering menu is to die for. Quick E, pull off that engagement pronto. Our wedding food is coming from here! Slightly pricy but worth it. And still cheaper then The Yellow Carrot right down the block. If this place is open(sometimes regular hours for the deli are called off if there is a particularly large catering order to fill), then you are in for a treat!
