They have many more food selections than are on their menu. I had their Chile Rellenos. The breading was VERY hard & they were a little spicier than most, but they tasted good. The cheese on the beans was very good. Husband ordered fish & chips. Three large pieces of fish(most of the size was the crunchy breading). Good thing a serrated knife was given me for my order! Fish armor! Chips were okay.

Everything on the menu is AMAZING. Burgers are delicious with add your own toppings, fish and chips with a jalapeño tartar sauce that is not too spicy, and sandwiches that are not too shabby. The restaurant is full of fun posters and pictures. It is definitely a go to for great original American comfort food.

Pros: — Nice visual experience Cons: — Poor service — Cold and bland food — Management is running in circles chasing staff Large crowd due to the Durango train, but we made a big mistake going here. I don’t like to give 1 or 2 stars as I only ate here once but advice to owners: Train management and staff better so your patrons will have a good food experience.

Jessie and the staff gave us coffee and advice about local adventure spots. Great sarcastically warm staff, but in a fun charming way. Eat here, K BYE!

The burgers are pretty good in here. The rest of the menu isn’t bad either. The décor is fun in here, lots of old bicycle posters and pictures. The bathroom is in the basement, which is interesting. But the bar has cheap beer, and the food comes out fast! Fun environment.

Good cooking, great burgers, love the onion ring! Cold beer. Good deal too! $ 50 for 2 with appetizers and dinner plus drinks!

Went back again tonight to give old timers another chance. Sat down, waited for 10 minutes for a server, walked out. 5 waitresses were at the bar not doing anything and cooks were watching TV. This was at 430, I walked by at 6 pm and the place wasn’t half full. I will not be back and will be sure to tell tourists to avoid this place. Old Timers seems to be going the way of Francisco’s.

This restaurant has a nice seating area, good character, and friendly service – but one fatal flaw: its lack of expediency. We waited at least 10 minutes for drinks and probably 40 minutes for our burgers. This was way too long, but our waitress was very nice about the whole thing. The food was good and in large portions, but not earth-shattering.

Went for an early lunch today. Got there before the lunch rush and was happy to get a table. Got our drinks quick but then waited for almost an hour with no food. We finally decided to leave without eating. The waitress tried to apologize by saying they lost our ticket and then when they made our food it was given to someone else. Unacceptable treatment from this long time local favorite place. Beware of going when they are busy. We won’t be back.

Burger night — good special and price, juicy burgers and everyone was pleased(6 of us). Had a great time, went early and were seated right away — had a couple pitchers of beer and we were all happy campers. There may be better burgers in town but not at this price — we’ll be back :)

I love me some Old Tymers. Been here probably 100 times and hope to go 100 more times. Not a bad word to say. Something about this place just makes me want to keep coming back. If you want a place that has some character to grab a beer and some bar food in Durango, look no further.

The food was definitely good, but the service is what really sold us! Our waiter went out of his way for us. Definitely a great place to eat in downtown Durango.

Don’t waste your time and money eating here. Unless you like rude waitresses and«medium» burgers cooked drier and harder than a hockey puck, than this isn’t the place for you. There are plenty of other places to eat in Durango, so stay clear of this place.

Went here because we heard how great the burgers were. We were quite disappointed. The food was not bad, but nothing memorable. For a Bison burger, there are much better ones around town. On the up side, our service was great! Our drinks never went below half empty.

I normally love this place. It’s a timeless Durango local joint with pretty good food. I arrived at 9:30pm in the hopes of grabbing some quick food after work. Unilocal says they are open til 10pm, but the bartender said they were done for the night. They should update their hours of operation. They do not even have business hours on Google.

This place has one of the best burgers in town! Ironically I didn’t order the burger this time(just had one earlier in the week) but my mom did so I was able to snag a couple bites(YUM). We started with the potato skins which were cheesy and had a good amount of bacon. I could only eat one though because I wanted to save room for my main meal: the Cobb salad. The salads are massive so I was super excited to get a good dose of greens :) The mix of chicken, avocado, blue cheese, and tomato was delicious, and the side of dressing was great! Tangy but not too sweet, it was a perfect pair for the salad. Our waitress was friendly and attentive so we didn’t have to wait long for anything. I’d definitely come back for more grub soon!

Burger was pretty good-ordered it since it was their signature. Pretty slow on a Sunday afternoon… only 3 other parties seated inside with two already having food. Host didn’t give me a menu and when I ordered my burger it took them 30 minutes at least even with 3 people working the kitchen. 3 stars for friendly waitress and 8⁄10 burger.

This place fills up fast, but they do have a second floor, so you’re likely to get a seat no matter what. The wings here looked great, so I made sure to order mine extra spicy. They were good, and though they didn’t quite have the«melt off your face» heat I was looking for, the green chili tater tots were quite yummy.(If you get them, you might want to hold the cheese and order extra green chili instead.) There was plenty of food, and even though we sat on the second floor, the spry wait staff hustled to make sure we never ran dry of drinks, which was nice. The place is known for their(meat) burgers, so if you have a vegetarian in your party be sure to order the fish and chips or grilled cheese.

This place is a fun, funky, local café located in the heart of the historic district of Durango. My sister and I stopped here on our road trip from Vegas to Denver looking for a fun stop to have lunch after our Mesa Verde hikes. It was just the type of place we were looking for. We sat at the bar. The bartender was extremely helpful even though we only ordered water and food. He gave us some suggestions of places to see and things to do there. The food was delicious and came out quickly. I ordered a French dip with French fries. The horseradish sauce was the perfect blend of cream and spicy — some restaurants are not able to get that flavor, but they did. The beef was juicy and not dry at all. It was such a fun restaurant that took over an old druggist shop. They still had some of the old trinkets and bottles from the druggist era that gave the café a classic feel. If I pass through Durango again, I will definitely be here again!

It has a great charm it reminds you of the old Durango charm. Every day they have specials and you cannot go wrong with them.
