The Unilocal reviews were correct — the burger is AMAZING! Meat is really delicious, and the toppings are really fresh. Not to mention that the farm is great — for several reasons:
1. Dog friendly — and really, truly friendly towards dogs; they were super welcoming and let our eager Golden Retriever meet the baby goats: Hansel & Gretel.
2. Views — so stunning!
3. Farm animals — baby goats, chickens; one of the owners let visiting kids feed the baby goats out of bottles
4. Friendly, family run farm
5. And once again, one of the most delicious burgers I’ve ever had.
We can’t wait to return!

GO HERE — awesome burgers, BLTs, great setting on a little farm. Prices are similar to what we pay on LA for top quality — $ 12 for a burger (comes with a great side of slaw), $ 9.50 for BLT sandwich on focaccia bread. Worth every penny.

I came here with my family (husband and 2 teenagers), based on the Unilocal reviews, while spending a couple of days in Durango. We were not disappointed — the Harvest Grill & Greens exceeded the reviews. All of us ordered the Signature Burger and, because of the reviews, added a fried egg to the burger (I don’t even like fried eggs — but when in Rome…). My burger was without the cheese, but added Applesmoked bacon and a friend egg. Also, based on many reviews, none of us added any condiments. It was truly the most amazing burger I have ever had in my life. Everyone in my family wholeheartedly agreed. I also had the potato salad, which was good, but not on par with the burger.
One Unilocal review commented they wished it was closer to town — it was a 10 minute drive from where we were staying in Durango, so the distance was a non-​issue for us. Its location added to the enjoyment. The views of grazing cows, free range chickens, a little river, open pasture, ponds, and stunning cliffs were so peaceful and lovely.
Note: if you have kids, please keep them from chasing the chickens.

I came here once before winter set in and it was beautiful! The outdoor seating is awesome because you can sit beneath the trees and enjoy the scenery. We petted the goats in the pen near the benches then watched the cows in the field. They bring your food to your table so all you have to worry about is getting your condiments (ketchup and mustard to the right of the ordering area)
The first time I tried James Ranch my burger was a bit too pink in the center, but this time around it was perfect! I love the fresh veggies that come with the burger too; the pickles have a delicious crunch. Since the weather turned cold they set up a tent to the side of their mini market which was awesome because we didn’t have to sit out in the cold! We warmed up with some yummy potato leek soup (actually not that creamy which I liked), then dug into our burgers (¹⁄₃ pound whoaaa).
Only downsides: it’s kind of a drive and they don’t have fries.

I read about this place in a magazine prior to our visit to the Durango area and knew we had to stop in for dinner! It certainly didn’t disappoint — the burgers were fresh, flavorful and downright amazing… what do you expect from farm-​to-​table though! The staff was so welcoming and sincerely glad to have us as guests. The view from our picnic table was perfect and we even got to pet the goats on the farm. Such a great experience!

Very scenic place. Perfect for kids to explore the farm animals and run in the grass. Burgers were excellent, I would rate this the third best burger I’ve had in my life — but who’s keeping track! I went with the signature burger with the added egg, no condiments, very high quality meat and ingredients.

Stopped by James Ranch while visiting Durango. Excellent burgers! Definitely a pleasant experience. I will visit again when in the San Juan area.

This is a pretty cool place for a burger. They encouraged my friends not to have their burger cooked «well done» to get more flavor. Sorry, but it is well done for me these days. Regardless, my burger was pretty good. For me, it is a rare occasion that I rate a burger as being better than the one I can make at home… so sorry, it is just 4 stars for me today. I also had a side salad which was actually better than most I that I have had. Seating is outside and there is a little self guided tour you can take to learn about the place. Next time I am in the Durango area, I’d eat here again without argument and highly suggest you try it. But please understand, there is not a large selection to choose from… in fact, it is a very limited selection.

The best burger you will ever eat! In the city you always hear a place is «farm to table». This place takes that term to a whole other level. Here you actually get to eat at the farm! The scenery is gorgeous in the summertime. My only advice is to make sure you add an egg to your burger. You won’t be disappointed.

You just can’t beat Farm-​to-​Table for quality and flavor! No joke — this was the best burger of my life! I also had their summer salad — and WOW — the lettuce had a delicious hearty flavor I’ve never tasted before.

Awesome burgers and sandwiches and they have a market on-​site where we bought their cheese, eggs and veggies. Really nice spot, will definitely be back next year!

This was the best burger I have ever eaten! At the condiment stand they recommend not using condiments because the beef if so good. Well we tried the burgers as they were served; HOLY SMOKES DELICIOUS!!! Their gluten free bread and cheeses were amazing as well!!! We will come back here every time we are in Durango!

Full disclosure — I’ve known these people for half of my life. I waited until I could get my hands on their burger at the relatively young grill before I would write up this review.
Cynthia and Robert, the owners, are dear friends. During their limited hours (anytime outside of summer), the pair run the show on Saturdays — Cynthia is out and about taking orders and making customers feel welcome, while Robert’s working away at the grill. Roxy is a part of their staff, and an incredibly energetic addition to the team.
They serve burgers, steak sandwiches, sloppy joe’s, chili, at least one soup of the day, and great customer service. They’re right next to the James Ranch market, which has its own set of wonderful people operating it. Grab a burger, and as you wait, browse the market — full of great selections of beef, pork, ridiculously fresh eggs, and various to-​go items.
I can’t speak highly enough of the James Ranch products, which Harvest Grill & Greens makes the main focus. The Signature Burger was fantastic — the medium rare was done just right and I don’t know if I can grab a burger anytime soon — my tastebuds just won’t allow that kind of disrespect, post-​Harvest Grill & Greens burger.
Oh, and they also carry gluten-​free buns ;]
