I’m with Nadya S. about this bakery. I was so excited to see a Greek bakery pop up in my ‘hood and I checked it out with AT a couple months ago. I’d been hesitant about leaving an A-OK review but after reading so many 4– and 5-star ones, I decided it would be good to share a different opinion. Service was really warm and welcoming, which made me excited about my experience when I came through the doors. I perused the selection and decided to try the tsoureki, a sweet bread maybe reminiscent of challah. I was pumped to get my little paws on the loaf and did so not long after driving away. Admittedly, I haven’t had other loaves of tsoureki to compare but having shoved my fair share of bread into my belly over the years, I just wasn’t impressed. The bread wasn’t as moist as I expected and was too sweet for my tastes. I also tried some baklava that paled in comparison to some of my favorite Middle Eastern sweet shops in metro ATL. I have read good things about spanakopita and would not be opposed to returning to try it, as I’m a huge Greek spinach pie fan. Perhaps this item will turn my frown upside down?

We got some takeout pastries from here and they were excellent, and the service was also friendly, which is why there is a buzz about this place. Looking forward to fattening up this winter on some Zukerino’s sweets.

Below average sweets. Not sure why there is buzz about this place. We bought 7 types of different pastry and sweets and none of it was something amazing. Bland flavors, very mediocre at best.

This place is in my «hood» so it’s convenient. The owner is a lovely, generous woman. I liked most of the pastries with the exception of the lemon meringue tarts. The meringue seemed to have a lot of chemical stiffeners or something, not to my taste at all. On this last visit I bought the tarts, some baklava and some cookies. Would go back again.

Their spanakopita has an authentic taste I associate with Greek pastry. Delicious, dense, flaky, and plentiful for the cost. It has that extra tasty something. I buy their single press olive oil from Greece. They sell gallon-like jugs of pitted kalamata olives from Greece. Very friendly people.

Had the worst birthday cake from them. They are foreign and don’t know what real buttercream frosting is! It was like lard cream! Wedding cookies were good.

Today was my first time going to Zukerino’s on a whim. I am so happy that I did! I walked in the door and immediately looked at all of the amazing delights. While I waited different staff members kept giving me samples of items to try. The moment I put the first sample(a wedding cookie) in my mouth I was a new fan. By the time I left I purchased a sampling of their amazing Greek pastries. I recommend anyone that is looking for something sweet and delicious to head to this place. This will be a new spot for me when I am craving sweets!

As a diabetic, I can only have a small amount of pastry every now and then, so when I do indulge I need to make it really count, and that means only the finest quality will do. I ordered my wife’s birthday cake here yesterday and talked with Soula, the owner, about the ingredients she uses and her baking philosophy, and I found a kindred spirit who knows of only one way to create pastries: *Perfectly.* Everything in the cases she made from scratch, by hand, the way pastries should be made. As you can imagine the traditional Greek treats such as Baklava were there, but Soula also makes something sinfully decadent: dark chocolate-covered rolled baklava. This alone is worth your trip. But Soula and her husband don’t stay with just Greek pastries. They also create amazing Napoleons(multiple layers of super-thin flaky pastry between custard and Chantilly cream), Boston Crème Pie petits fours(adorable), macaroons, various cookies — the list goes on and on, and over the coming years I intend to sample each and every one of them. They also make savories like Spanakopita, Pastitsio, etc. Next time… I brought home a sampling of goodies for the family, and they were impressed with the quality as well. We’ve all spent our lives around quality cuisine and so we know what to look for, and by now we’re very harsh judges of what’s good. Two lemon meringue pies with mile-high peaks had been cooling when I came in, and they were perfect in every way, with no beads of syrup oozing to the surface, a satiny bright white sheen, and beautifully-sculpted peaks that were evenly toasted a light brown. When I came back today to pick up my wife’s birthday cake(itself a masterpiece), they were cooling in the refrigerated case, and only the tiniest micro-beads of moisture could be seen on the surface, which is inevitable because of the humidity in a refrigerated case. An imperfect refrigerated meringue typically develops pools of exuded syrup combined with water from the humidity, and it ruins the meringue. Not these. Zuckerino’s remained perfect. Guess what I’m bringing home for the family next time I go there? I live in Norcross, with three very good bakeries within walking distance of my home. But I gladly choose to make the 15-mile round trip to Zuckerino because their quality is without equal. And quality means everything to me. I wholeheartedly recommend Zuckerino as your bakery of choice.

This place smells so divine I didn’t know what to do with myself upon entering. A beautiful selection of pastries. I’m in love and can’t wait to go back. Honestly, I’ve been bestowed with a feeling of romance akin to something you’d see in an Audrey Hepburn film. I received a sample of something like baklava dipped in dark chocolate but I can’t be sure what it’s properly called. So delicious I wanted to purchase a dozen but to avoid expanding my waistline too much I settled on Neapolitan. Absolutely scrumptious!

This is a fantastic gem of a bakery. The owners are as warm and delightful as the smell of pastry that greets you. There are delicious samples on the counter, including a super-fresh kalamata olive bread with olive spread. My dad ordered a cake for my birthday and the owners agreed to customize it to fit our needs(small group and the cake didn’t come in a small size). When I picked up the cake, it was not small(meant to feed 6), but they charged us the small price! The cake itself was outstanding. It was tiramisu cake. I didn’t know how it would work, but it was lovely looking and delicious. I live on the other side of town(Alpharetta) and it’s not particularly convenient, but I would return to try some of the other pastry and breads.

You will not find a more hospitable bakery/pastry shop in all of Atlanta. They treat you with genuine European hospitality as if you’re their family. And the pastries… oh sweet Lord the pastries. Hands down the greatest danish on the planet. I don’t even generally like danishes, but their is like no other. For anyone, it’s worth just stopping in. Proudly, Ryan J. Mumford

Wow — these have to be the nicest(and truly customer-oriented) people in the world. I had called from New York hoping to find a bakery who would deliver a King Cake to friends I had staying in north Atlanta for a business trip. True to form, for those who know me, I started making calls last minute(Mardi Gras day) to see if I could make it happen. Zukerino was in the area, had a good rating, and so was on my list. Well, I called and of course they didn’t have any anymore, but the older lady(and her husband in the background) were so incredibly concerned and helpful. She also assured me they made the«most beautiful and special King Cakes!» and I have no doubt that’s true just by the way she described it. For some reason, I absolutely *know* whatever they bake must be incredible — there’s just no way she’d let anything get out the door otherwise. And I promise when I get down to that area again, I’ll make a special trip just to visit this place. Thank you for that experience!

Stopped in on a whim and found my new favorite sweet spot! The lady behind the counter was so nice to my baby boy, and there was no shortage of samples. She helped me find the perfect sweets and bread for the week. I wish I lived closer, but we will definitely be back!
