Swan Creek Candle Company is a must even if you’re not looking for candles. They have a wide selection of beautiful gifts and home décor. You will find seasonal colors, glassware, wreaths, wall hangings, warmers, of course, soy wax candles, and scented oils. The basement and second floor have antiques for sale. The establishment is clean and has a view of the Dundee Raisin River dam. All of the employees that have been encountered are courteous and always helpful.
Now regarding the candles. I’ve never seen such a vast selection of scents. The scents last and smell great even when not burning. The candles burn clean and I’ve not seen much if any wax left on the container. The wicks do not have lead in them. You can buy tea lights, votives, larger candles in and out of jars, as well as bulk wax and wicks to make your own. The prices may be somewhat higher than«grocery store» candles but it’s worth every penny to have them burn well and clean, and smell great. My wife loves this store and has never been disappointed. We enjoy coming here after having the best pizza in town located next door. Come on baby light my fire!

A lovely shop in a quaint little town. Not only does the Swan Creek Candle Outlet offer an array of scented candles and holders to suit every type of home décor, they also house antiques both upstairs and in the basement — my main reason for stopping in. I was impressed at how reasonably the antiques in most booths were priced. Most of the items were marked at least half off of what I’ve seen at other antique malls. You’ll find a lot of antique kitchenware and tools, crates, glass bottles and knick knacks. For as big as the space is(three store fronts joined together), I was hoping to find a wider variety of scents. I was a little disappointed that almost all of their candles smelled of baked goods or flowers. I’m a «clean» or «spicy» kind of gal — I really enjoy scents like Sandalwood, Patchouli, Balsam & Cedar, etc. I’m generally not a fan of my house smelling like things I usually stuff in my face. All in all, a great little shop and a perfect place for gift-giving!

I’ve been wanting to stop in here forever; I see the billboard on 23 all the time. I finally had an excuse while on my way to a birthday party. The building this place is in is beautiful brick, and the store is huge. The Strawberries and Champagne candle came home with me, and the Jasmine went to the birthday girl. Very pleased!

Three rooms of soy wax candles and every way that you can think of to keep them from melting on the table. Ceramic containers, glass and metal, are available with and without the candle inside. Fragrances like crème brûlée, buttercream, apricot-blackberry, Thai pear, and lemon ice box cookies caught my attention.

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way to Ohio and was pleasantly surprised to find this treasure. They have an antique section in the top floor and the basement and in the middle, its candles galore! When we went up to the third floor, I wasn’t very impressed with their antiques mainly because there were so few things, but when we got to the basement, boy was it something else! The whole floor was covered from floor to walk, with a very narrow walk space. It was cool too because there was a man there who was basically bargaining with anyone looking at things down there. This is a great place to get gifts… especially if your loved ones love antiques! The candle floor was also impressive. The best thing I found and absolutely love is candles made in cups/bowls that smell like your baking something tasty in the kitchen. I can’t wait to go back!

It is unfortunate that the previous reviewer had a bad experience, because I go to this store 3 or 4 times a year(to spoil myself) and I am always truly pleased. My mother in law introduced me to swan creek 3 years ago and i have been hooked ever since. We drive 45 minutes to go to this location and we love it. It is quaint, beautiful, ambient, and welcoming. The staff has never been anything less than welcoming to me. In fact, my wedding was two weeks ago. Last year I started searching for lanterns for my table centerpieces. I came into the store to buy candles, and came across some beautiful lanterns that I wanted to use for my head table. Not only did one employee set them out for me(with candles to see the display) but she solicited several other employees to give their opinions on the arrangement of candles and accessories. They all took a considerable amount of time to consult with me and help me out. It was really nice, and above and beyond. The lanterns were a hit to say the least. I went back a couple of days ago, on black Friday, to get some new candles. I saw the sales associate who helped me with my lanterns and thanked her for her help. She remembered me, and the lanterns, and stopped to tell me how much she loves hearing stories from people she helps and how much it meant to her. After many congratulations, she went back to help the plethora of consumers on black friday. This place does close to nothing wrong. You are my go to for a good mood and uplifted spirit. Thank you!
