Applebee’s

The first Applebee’s that’s you can smoke inside. The guy doesn’t ask me for a non smoking are he just seat me and ask what I want. I ask for water and when he is close he by accident throw it on me. No apologizes at all, it took minutes to sent somebody else with a towel to clean. I ended up in another restaurant. What a disgusting way to treat a customer.

Came in here for lunch 2 days ago and walked out after sitting for 20 minutes while the servers just chatted. Nothing changed for today. I count 6 servers just standing around and talking. Must be fun not earning tips.

Came for late dinner (10pm) and tables were open but it took us over 5 minutes to be seated. After being seated, the server passed our table several times, but did not even address is for over 15 minutes!!! We ordered simple drinks and they again took a silly amount of time for server to remember we ordered drinks!!! NOT for them to be made or brought, but for him to remember we ordered drinks at all!!! After almost 45 minutes of being in the restaurant and more excuses than I can count, we politely told the ppl we would rather take our business elsewhere!!! The Applebee’s on Illinois is MUCH better than This one!!!

Is this a restaurant or a dance club? Couldn’t even think for how loud the music was playing! It was R&B and Rap, which in itself is not a problem at all, but it was 6 pm and kids where in the place and one rap song was talking about a female sliding up and down a pole… OMG!!! Then there must have been a waitstaff issue and me and my 78 year old father could hear a waitress cussing at what I think was her supervisor. SO SO unprofessional. Also. the food like always was mediocre but since it was a «free» birthday meal. I mustered through it!

IT’s my frist time going here with my hubby for lunch. So far it okay and he like it here I guess we come once a moth or so lol. The food was great enjoy being there so far so good.

My roommates and I often order the 2 for 20 deal via phone and pick it up. I usually always order a steak and by the time it gets home it’s what you would expect. Always their food has been okay to good… nothing spectacular but nothing bad or tragic either. Just food. However… two weeks ago one of my roomies and I decided to go in for the 2 for 20… we made sure it was mid afternoon so we could miss the bar and diner crowd. I have to say that the steak was spectacular… best I have had cooked there in the last four months. It was so good I had to ask for the name of the cook because if he’s not cooking… I don’t want steak lol. 9oz ribeye cooked to medium rare perfection from one end to another. I was thoroughly impressed and I hope they keep it up. Looks like there have been some not so happy campers in the reviews here… I hope my experience in mid-​late July this year is the start of a turn around for them in the food department. I took away a star because I’m not sure why the drinks were twice what they were for the exact same thing the last time we went in February.

I have to agree with Zandra, this location needs work! This is the 2^nd time I’ve been here for a charity event. The breakfast is prepared by Applebee’s which includes pancakes, one sausage patty, eggs, juice similar to Tang, and coffee. Very mediocre.
The food is not the best quality but we are supporting a charity event. The organization actually spent their own money and provided bacon. So the menu can be customized at the organization’s expense.
My biggest issue is cleanliness. It was obvious the place was not cleaned after the late night crowd.
I usually don’t come here but others I know are not impressed. The Cedar Hill location is pretty nice.
I really hope they do better for fundraising events though.

Man. I actually hate writing one star reviews, but there are times that it can’t be helped, and this is one of those times. There is just much wrong happening in one place. I seriously don’t know what happened to this particular location, but this is definitely not the restaurant I used to go to a long time ago.
Sigh, so for lunch today, I decided to hit up Applebee’s. As soon as I walked in, I was shocked to see that they actually have a license to allow smoking at the bar. That has to be the dumbest idea ever to me because of the way the restaurant is set up. The smoke can really go everywhere with the open floor plan. But, I decide to eat there anyway. After being sat at my table by the super sweet hostess, I am floored when I am not greeted for over ten minutes. Mind you that I’m on my lunch break and the place is not overrun with clients or anything. So I wait, and wait, and wait and other families are being sat and are waiting patiently also, and the hostess asks if I had been helped yet and looked shocked when I told her no. The waitress, while sweet, was just not very attentive nor seemed very good at her job. I am pretty much the most laid back customer you can ever have and I even felt abandoned most of the time. When I finally had the chance to order, I had been at the restaurant for 30 minutes. When my food finally came, I was shocked to see that the steak I ordered was not rare, but was blue. I tried to choke through it, but I couldn’t do it. It was just not cooked enough. Instead of asking for them to make me a whole new steak, I asked if she could ask the chef to just put it back on the grill again. I can tell that he did, but the steak STILL CAME BACK BLUE! Like WTH?! It was really disappointing. Between my food not being cooked correctly and the sheer amount of time to place my order, it took about that same amount of time to get my ticket. I had to actually ask another waitress to help me.
I don’t know what happened to this location, but I can honestly say that I will never go back again. There are too many other places to eat in this neighborhood, and at least at other places I don’t have to worry about leaving smelling like an old ash tray.

Fiesta lime chicken, the chicken wasn’t cooked completely. We both got flavored lemonade, both lemonades weren’t mixed and there wasn’t much mix to mix. One could barely tell that we had lemonade and not water. Our drinks were empty most of the night. Took 30+ minutes to get our bill after we were finished eating.

I wouldnt even give 1 star!
Terrible, run for your life! First. I could smell the cigarettes before even opening the front door! Which is why I left another Applebee’s because the hostess asked smoking or non? I then asked her if there was any difference. So I tried to give em another chance, bad idea! My wedge salad was supposed to have blue cheese, but I got green goddess instead, plus rotten wilted lettuce. Then I just grabbed the mgr, cancelled the rest of my order, because there were at least four unclean filthy tables sitting unbussed right in my view! I decided if that was how they left their dining room, I for sure didn’t want to eat a thing from the kitchen! Disgusting! I also read another complaint about bloody chicken wings they served!

The food is ok, but the service is absolutely horrid! I’ve gone there many times and it always the same

Bad service on a Saturday night.
Host tried to seat us in the bar with out telling us it was the smoking section. We are nonsmokers eat that here often. When we said we wanted a seat outside the bar he acted like it was a lot of work he shouldn’t be bothered with.
The waitress while nice took almost 10 minutes to get to us to take our drink order. We ordered our drinks & meals at that time. 5 minutes later her partner came back to get the order again, they lost it!
20 minutes later with no drinks, no food, not even a glass of water, we left. We came to eat not spend the night waiting.

Warning, do not order the hot wings. There is blood in them. Not cooked all the way through. Dollar Coors draft beer is ok.

Ok I’m not crazy about apple bees but this 2 for 20 deal is good. I got the chipolette steak and shrimp and man it was cooked right and the sauce was spicy i topped it with A1 sauce. Couldn’t really care for the spinach dip it was kinda watery but it was fresh. My wife had the 3 cheese pasta chicken. It was pretty good the cheeses gave off a balance taste. I am a fan now and our waiter was pretty good and we were greeted and soon as we walked in I say it was pretty crowded not over crowded. Anyways go and get the 2 for 20 and enjoy the savings as well as the taste!

Took longer than needed to be seated. Felt like the servers didn’t want to look my way. Also, I thought places were smoke free now. I hate the smell of smoke from cancer sticks while I’m trying to eat.
