I sent a friend who was working in Duluth a box of cookies and muffins from this highly rated bakery. From the service to the presentation, I remain utterly impressed! Rob was super accommodating on the phone with helping me choose a nice selection and delivering the box to a downtown hotel — complete with a hand-written note. Over a week later the individually wrapped(dinner plate sized!) cookies are still fresh and tasty. Thank you, Positively 3rd Street Bakery for bringing a little warmth to a friend’s week in Duluth!

This is my new favorite place. Delicious cookies and breads made with all organic ingredients. Awesome vegan choices, that are soo tasty! The staff is very friendly and willing to help and talk about their products and ingredients. Be careful, once you try it, you’ll be addicted!

One of my favorite places in Duluth. I routinely stop in to grab a cookie or ten. Bread and bagels are great too. Great prices and the staff is amazing too.

This place is literally the best. My personal favorite is the cranberry bars(wow). But I’ve liked everything I’ve eaten there. I strongly recommend swinging by to get a cookie or two(or bread, or bars) they will give you cookie samples if you’re unsure and the staff is super friendly.

I stumbled upon this place one afternoon and I instantly fell in love. This is one of my favorite places in Duluth! I have tried several different cookies there, but my absolute favorite are the ginger cookies. The stay fresh for days after I purchase them. I do not think I have ever loved a cookie as much as I love these!

For an organic, natural bakery, this is good. For an overall bakery, this is kinda meh. There weren’t cakes or pastries or anything I was expecting when I walked in. There were cookies and bars and muffins. I was very disappointed since I was looking for something else. That being said, I would recommend the skid marks(cookies). They were delish. Everything else we got was OK, but not over-the-top good. One thing I HATED was the cranberry bars. They were all sour and no sweet. It was hard to even eat it.

Duluth landmark Bakery., and for good reason i’ve never gotten any bad food here. If asked people in the area will say they live by 3rd st Bakery and the response from most Duluthians is something to the effect odf«I love that place!».

This establishment is all sorts of good. The cookies are bomb, the building is cute, they are diet restriction conscious, they use pure ingredients, prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly. Normally I would pass up a simple sugar cookie but these are really good. Everyone seems to love the Thunder Cookies best but my favorites are the Dynamite Delights. Make sure to bring some cash because they do not accept credit cards.

Positively 3rd, you deserve 10 stars over and over. Everyone there is a part-owner, and everyone there has a love and passion for baking and making a small difference in their customers’ lives. I thankfully discovered 3rd Street Bakery years ago when I was at UMD, and ever since it is one of the highlights of my days and my weeks when I am able to visit this quaint bakery. Offering healthy, indulgent, perfectly cooked, and tasty breads, treats, and granola, this is a one-stop shop for your bakery needs. All their ingredients are wholesome and simple. My favorite bread loaf here is the Wild Rice Bread. Among the others, I am also a fan of the Whole Wheat, Sunflower, Cracked Wheat, Spelt, Flax, Orange Date, and the 8-Grain. Pumpkin is seasonal, but make sure you get some when you see it. I have tried most of the granola and they are amazing. It is hard to find granola in traditional grocery stores that doesn’t have refined sugars, but here at 3rd Street their granola is simple and wholesome and they use honey or maple syrup to sweeten most of their granola. The cookies!!! YUM! Crazy PM’s, Dan’s Macaroonies(I always get one of these; totally healthy, a little gooey, and 100 percent delicious), Jeff Browns, Ginger, Goddess Bar(wow), and more. They’ve got four muffins, and having tried them all, the Morning Glory and Wild Banana are my favorite(they have little gems of goodies hidden throughout). I don’t know that I have ever been disappointed by anything, and they usually have samples out for tasting. You feel the love as soon as you walk in the door, and the aroma is addicting and distinctive. I hope this local bakery remains supported by the community and keeps thriving in Duluth for years and years to come. I can’t give enough praise about this place, but if you are ever in the area(or even if you aren’t; make a special trip), come in and stock up on some bread and pick up a treat or two! Just look for the bright colored«house» that stands out at the corner of 3rd and 12th. Make sure to bring cash for all the goodies.

Positively 3rd St. Bakery is an awesome bakery with great employees. The ingredients in their breads and baked goods are fantastic(simple ingredients without corn biproducts)! They had samples out of several cookies and hooked us up with some day olds for really inexpensive. I just wish that they accepted cards!

I became a fan of this bakery many years ago, while a student at UMD. Great to see this legendary business still around. If you enjoy eating cookies, then you really should stop here. The best! Personally, I’m a fan of their«Thunder» cookies.(Whole wheat flour, chocolate chips, peanut butter… and the label says«adventure».) And the«Mocha Madness» cookies(Whole wheat flour, cocoa, chocolate chips, coffee… and«love»). But they also have wonderful breads as well. The cookies make great gifts… or great for on the road too! «Don’t think twice, it’s alright»…
