I rate places as the type of business they are. For a burger place it would have been a 5 star except for the fact the guy taking my order didn’t order onions as requested for my burger. The second thing was the tables were not clean. That being said the service was quick and the burger tasted great!!! Ill be back…

Although good food, it is to pricey for a fast food burger joint. The atmosphere was pretty low class for a $ 15 dollar a meal place.

A few days a go, I was lucky enough to pass by a five guys. I was surprised to see one in Duluth because I had not seen one of those in awhile. As soon as I walked in the door I could smell the fresh burgers meat and peanuts. I was so excited to get my burger. I was greeted by a friendly sales associate who was more then willing to explain everything on the menu and was extremely friendly. After we placed our order, we were handed a number and took our seat. A few minutes later our number was called and out came our yummy looking burger and fries. The burger was perfect too. It was not too seasoned and not too greasy. I am usually not a big fan of fries but these ones were not too soggy so they were actually very good. As we ate we could hear the staff telling jokes and having a good time behind the counter. It was a good atmosphere and we felt comfortable dining there. The only thing that I see wrong with burger places like this is that there are not enough drink selections. I don’t drink soda and I try to stay away from milk shakes so the only thing left to drink is water! Wish they would put more options on the menu!

Was a bit pricey and the atmosphere is rather disappointing. But the burger & fries were tasty.

For the quality and quantity of the food it’s a great price. For a person coming the first time ever it is kinda of required to ask questions or you will have way too much food. Peanut allergies beware ! They use peanut oil and have peanuts out I the open at the door.

If you’re looking to save money and have a cheap burger meal, don’t go here. If you like quality meat that has never been frozen, fresh cut fries, and humongous servings look no further. You can’t skimp out on great food, the value is totally there. I like the cheese veggie sandwich«all the way». My criticism is that extra toppings are supposed to be free, but this Five Guys charges for extra bacon and extra cheese in-store against corporate standards. But if you order online, you can still get those extras free of the up charge.

I thought the food was excellent. Bacon cheeseburger and Fries are excellent. I liked the free peanuts while waiting as well. The only point stopping a 5 star rating was the cost. Eighteen bucks for a bacon cheese burger, fries and a veggie sandwich seems a bit steep, but it all was good. No tips required either. I wish they had shakes or malts though. If they were down in a canal Park, they would really have a hit on their Hands. I had been to another location in Alabama, but it didn’t compare at all. So it shows things are not always the same from location to location.

We have seen shows about the history on Five Guys, and a lot of people we know have tried Five Guys. On July 13, 2013, our family went to try Five Guys. I did not call ahead to ask about handicapped accessibility, or if was kid friendly, but we were excited to try it. We brought both wheelchairs because we were going to see a movie afterwards. I went in with the 32″ chair just to be on the safe side. The first set of doors were double but no bar in the middle, which then made me hopeful that the 36″ chair would fit inside. Nope, the second set of doors only the 32″ would fit, unless I would have pivoted. Once inside, we noticed other patrons getting salted peanuts in the shell to eat. We didn’t see a sign saying free peanuts. but assumed it was ok. The peanuts were a nice added snack while we waited for our food. On the walls, for their décor, were awards and news articles they had been in. I remember from the show I watched that the five squares on the wall represents the five brothers. Colors were white and red, with a decent size dining area. It worked fine for the 32″ chair, but not for the bigger one. We got up to the menu, and the cashier asked what we would like to order. I told her that we are first timers at Five Guys. She was very friendly and helpful explaining the menu. The Little Burgers are single patties, the others are double. It was amazing to see the toppings were free, and the fries you can order Five Guy style or Cajun style. We asked if the Cajun seasoning was really spicy, and she said it has some kick to it. She offered to put some of the Cajun seasoning in a container on the side, so that we could try it. After paying, they give you a number that they will call out when food is ready. We sat at the table listening to the upbeat music and watching the cooks work in unison while waiting for our number to be called. One thing we ask is why use canned mushrooms on good quality restaurant food? You have fresh tomatoes, lettuce, you even post where you got your potatoes. So why serve processed, spongy, canned mushrooms when fresh would taste so much better? Hope to see this changed on our next visit. Jodi ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger with onions, mayo, and mushrooms. She really liked the burger. She said it tasted really good and liked the simpleness of the wrappers. It let the food be the star. KayMarie ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger with pickles, tomatoes, mushrooms, and A1 Sauce.
Brian ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger as well, but all the way. I asked how much would it cost to add jalapeños, and the cashier said it costs nothing. I really liked the burger a lot. It tasted so good, but it needed fresh mushrooms. Christopher and Jonathan had a Little Bacon Cheeseburger with pickles, tomatoes, onions, ketchup, mustard, and mushrooms. They liked their burgers a lot. They got so full. We liked the fries a lot. They seemed like the old-fashioned fries you get at a carnival. They were in a cup in a brown paper bag, with a side cup of Cajun seasoning. Next time, we would like to try the seasoning cooked with the fries. Brian really enjoyed that they offered malt vinegar. He says it brought back memories as a child at the fair. Five Guys in Duluth, MN, is a STOPIN, kick back, enjoy the music, and the burgers, you will not be disappointed. Great burgers. They give you more fries that you can consume! I suggest the Cajun fries. Double meat cheese burger was excellent!

If you like burgers and fries… this would be the place in Duluth. The fries are excellent and the burgers are excellent too. What else can you say… its burgers and fries? You can put anything you want on your burger(mostly except squash and a few others). The fries are fresh and taste and look nothing like Mcdonalds… which is a good thing, you also get plenty of them. Issues? The price is a bit high. 9 bucks for a burger and fries?

Maybe I missed what everybody seems to be salivating over, but this place was pretty forgettable. The fries were good, but the burger was definitely nothing special. I had heard hype about this place so i dropped by and already disappointed. Maybe I had different expectations. It’s basically just a cheap chain, that has sub par burgers, and a bunch of junk stapled to the walls. Sorry Five Guys.

We’re from San Diego. We were visiting Duluth and found 5 Guys using the Unilocal!app on my Droid. This is fast food joint with a tiny menu — burgers, hot dogs and fries. It reminds me of In ‘n Out Burger in So Cal. But 5 Guys has a much better burger — high praise. The guy behind the counter — Eric, did a really great job of newby orientation. And no, we’re not friends or relatives.

Five Guys Burgers & Fries is the type of chain you want to see succeed. They take pride in their business and want the world to experience their food. When I first entered their version of a burger joint it was on the southern east coast at the beginning of their rapid expansion. I loved the layout, the simple yet endless options menu and of course the burgers. When I heard there was a new Five Guys opening in the Miller Hill Mall I was thrilled… and worried. Duluth, MN is a long way away from Lorton, Virginia. Sure the burger greatness could spread along the east coast but could it safely reach the midwest? My experience at the Duluth Five Guys was equal to or better than the multiple trips I made while in Georgia. The burger was as juicy and delicious as ever. I had mine«All The Way» which has Mayo, Lettuce, Pickles, Tomatoes, Grilled Onions, Grilled Mushrooms, Ketchup and Mustard. Just as awesome and messy as it sounds. The cajun fries were delicious and I was glad to see it must be a company wide memo that states all customers must have a two inch layer of fries in their take out bag. Five Guys pro tip. You only need one regular size fries for every two people. Trust me. The peanuts are still there. The self congratulatory newspaper and magazine articles are still posted everywhere. Prices are about the same if I remember. It will cost about $ 10 for a burger, fries and drink. A fair price for a fast/casual lunch or dinner. More than it would cost to eat at McDonald’s but this is oh so much more. I more than recommend the restaurant to anyone who hasn’t given it a try. I can’t comment on the few random items on the menu other than the burgers since I’ve never had the inclination to try anything else. The name says it all Five Guys Burgers and Fries and done the right way.

The problem with hype is that it’s so hard for any place, person or thing to live up to it. After years of being talked up by my East Coast friends, I kind of expected my tastebuds to break into a dance routine from the movie Breakin’ upon eating my first Five Guys’ burger. I was a little disappointed they only had a routine from Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo in them after the burger – which is still pretty impressive mind you, just not the mind-altering experience I had built it up to be in my head. With that said, Five Guys serves up a pretty good hamburger. Adding to the experience is the wide variety of free toppings you can have on your burger – stuff like jalapenos, A-1 Steak Sauce, BBQ Sauce, grilled mushrooms and so forth. It’s not a cheap burger, but it is pretty huge. The«little» hamburger, cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger is one patty that I’d guess is about 1⁄3 a pound of fresh ground beef. The regular burger is two patties. The fries were the best part of the meal, IMO. And I’ll admit that I was a sucker for the board that stated where the potatoes were grown. Though not as much of a sucker as I was for the extra scoopful of fries thrown into the bottom of the burger bag. I’ll definitely be back to Five Guys. But it will probably be more of an «If I’m in the neighborhood and I’m craving a burger and the moon aligns with the former planet of Pluto» kind of thing than making a trip with the purpose of forcing my tastebuds break into a Turbo and Ozone impersonation kind of thing.

I moved here from Washington, DC and as excited as I was to try the new Five Guys, I was a little leary that they grew from just five restaurants to several hundred in a few short years without sacrificing quality. I needn’t have worried. the new Duluth Five Guys is every bit as wonderfully tasty as the original five restaurants in and around DC. The double fried french fries are the best you will ever eat anywhere. The burgers are cooked through but are always juicy and flavorful. A word to the wise, there’s just no room for that slippery lettuce and tomato. Go with the fried onions, bacon and cheese with ketchup. I guarantee you will become a loyal customer of this joint.
