Bantu Hair Braiding

WORST BRAIDING SHOP IN GEORGIA!!! THE BRAIDERS in the shop are deceitful, evil spirited, hypocrites, and DO NOT TAKE PRIDE in doing customers braids at all. First of all, 4 different inexperienced workers braiding one head of hair at the same time… so what do think was the end result?! TERRIBLE! Every braid was different from the other… some large, some medium, some small and it was obvious they were not professional braiders. Sadly to say, they did not care… all they wanted was their money for an unsatisfactory job. One worker had no business doing hair for the simple fact, she has very poor communication and disrespectfully talked behind the customers back in a different language, possibly French. They don’t have any consideration for the customers initial requests. In addition, they’re very dishonest, untrustworthy and unethical. Be careful… this shop is an E-​V-​I-​L scam to get customers money by any means possible!!!

Thanks for the feedback nearly 3 months later. I voiced a concern about the twists being too small around my edges during the initial install, but was continually told that they were taking care to make them larger in those areas. After a day or 2 of wear, I did return to get approximately 5 – 10 braids along the edges taken down and combined to make 3 – 5 braids instead… this was in hopes of avoiding damage to the area. What you failed to mention is that I was instructed that if anymore than that were serviced, I would be charged. Further, as in my initial review there is no way properly installed kinky twists should slip out 1-​inch or more in a weeks time. I have a full head of long, natural textured African American hair and have worn kinky twists from stylist in Chicago, St. Louis, California and beyond without fail. Again, I would not recommend Bantu Hair Braiding considering my personal experience. Although, you ladies were a joy to talk with and I carry no hard feelings, there is still much to be desired in regards to your braiding technique and how you handle customer service issues. OMG!!! DON’T COME TO THIS PLACE. ALL I WANTED WAS 2 FRENCH BRAIDS. Simple right? Wrong. The ends of my braids were uneven and they didn’t even burn the tips. I was in a rush the day I got it done didn’t really pay attention to the next day went back to the shop, and tried how my braid was cut uneven and I would like it corrected. I had to keep explaining the issue to the Man manager and he had no clue what I was saying. Of course the person that did my hair was not there at the time. So I tried to show how my braids were cut uneven to another worker so she could explain the problem. The Man manager got upset and kept saying he was the manager and I need to talk to him or leave. And got the nerve to rise his voice at me like I was a child. Instead of being apologetic and he got the nerve to put his ego before his customer service. The other workers looked like they were scared of him and didn’t even talk up Smh. I don’t know what is going on in that shop but if I didn’t leave a tip I would pay money to get it done somewhere else.

Terrible place to get braid service! First mistake was the braider showing up late for the appointment! The next mistake was the owner trying to get me to invest in his pyramid scam! The biggest mistake was my hair! The style looked AWFUL! I could have done a better job! I asked for Nubian Twists and even showed a picture. The end result was embarrassing! The twists were all different sizes and the spacing was horrible especially in the back of my head. I was so disappointed I called my braider in Little Rock, AR and told her how much I needed her and missed her stellar work! The owner wanted me to come back the next day to fix it now keep in mind I had to go to work with this hideous hairstyle. I went back the next day and the owner called in a stylist from another shop and she was appalled at the work! She let him know the twists were awful! The owner and I could not agree on any new acceptable terms! He ended up with my money and I ended up with an AWFUL HAIRSTYLE for the next couple of days! They deserve a zero for their services!

Went to Bantu 3 weeks ago, a bit skeptical just because I have known my share of frustration in ATL when it comes to hair braiding. The ladies who greeted me were really nice, I explained to them where my skepticism was coming from, they tried their best to reassure me and asked me to give them a try. They spoke french (which from my braiding experience is ALWAYS a good sign when it comes to the quality of braids the client gets). I scheduled an appointment with them the next morning at 8:30 — the owner, Patricia, unfortunately got me confused with another client and showed up at 9 (she respected my time and was very professional about her lateness, offered me a discount of 10 dollars) — of course it took me the whole day to get my hair done! (I wish it took less time) — most of the time I had 2 people braiding my hair. Overall they did a great job, gave me exactly what I had asked for. I was very satisfied with the work that they did. I will definitely go back, and would recommend them to whoever is looking for a good braiding salon in the Duluth area. This salon is located in a Mall therefore parking was pretty easy to find. The salon is very nice and well maintained.

I loved my experience so much. I got my braids finish in four hours, which is good considering the size of them. The braiders did not hurt my scalp by braiding to tight. I love the prices too. The shop is in a great location and they sell natural hair care products and cute clothes too. The ladies are so kind and professional. This is the only place that I will ever come.

Random Saturday I decided to get my hair braided. I called them to see if someone was available to do my hair. I guess it was perfect timing on my end. Within 20mins of making the random decision I was getting my hair in Senegalese twist. I admit I was nervous because I didn’t have time to research their work or look at pics. But they did a great job. It took at six hrs with three people. My hair is very fine at the top so one lady focused on that area. And did great. I am really happy with my service and will be back.

This has been the worse hair experience ever!!! I had my micro braids done less then a month ago, my braids are HORRIBLE! They look as if they have been in for the past 6 months. They have fallen out, the hair will NOT curl, they said it was natural hair… NOT. I went back they act as if they don’t understand and replaced the braids that fell out. I paid a lot of money and I am utterly disgusted. I will never use them again!!! I must say that Patricia is very nice, but the end result was not good for me. I would like half my money back, but I know that won’t happen!

This is an amazingly professional place for hair braiding! I moved to the area recently and was in search of a good hair braiding salon. I have to look no further as I have found my spot! Such professionalism and amazing phone etiquette. Their phone etiquette was amazing as Patricia listened to my desires for my box braids and I showed a picture and they did it just as I wanted. I would highly recommend this braiding salon if you want a professional experience with warm, friendly and attentive people. I had a wonderful conversation with the ladies and even the owners and it made the time go by very fast! Look no further Bantu is the place to go! You wont be disappointed!
