Love Jayne’s. There’s a bit of everything here — coffee shop, home furnishings, hair salon, the town’s post office — and somehow inexplicably it all is cohesive and inviting. Visiting this establishment is like stepping back to a different era, before chain-stores, when folks all knew each other, when ‘running errands’ was consistently personalized and social.

I was a little disappointed. I was told about the salon by the lady we rent the cabin. I sent a message through their facebook page letting them know when we would be in town and no one responded. When I stopped in to mail some letters I inquired about making an appointment for me and my daughter to get our nails done and was told she didn’t have anyone working that entire week we were in Duck Creek. I think they should post something on the door or respond to messages. The space inside is decorated really cute and the little store has lots of cute pictures for the walls and lodge feel decorations at a reasonable price. Looking into the back where the salon was it was also decorated nicely and had a warm feel to it. The postoffice area you can rent PO boxes and there was a coffee shop too.

Stayed in Duck Creek Camp Ground for about a week. We stopped in almost every day for the most amazing lattes. This shop functions as a post office, salon, and coffee shop, but don’t be afraid to stop it. It’s totally worth your time.
