First going to say I’ve been a frequent stay at this hotel. I loved this hotel until last night. I felt like I was staying at a drunk chuckle cheese. They have no control over the place at night. The pool area was packed with drunks and kids. That part didn’t even bother me though cause I’m one to have a good time. It was the allowing of rug rats to run all over the damn place. The staff wouldn’t do anything about it. Was up until 2am cause of them damn kids. If you want to actually get sleep stay somewhere else. Never coming back.

We often choose Best Westerns and know there will be plenty of pillows, everything will be clean and the beds are comfy. I confess to not being a fan of screeching children, since mine are grown ups now, and had I done my homework and seen the massive pool area, we would’ve stayed elsewhere. Everything quieted down promptly at 11PM but wow to those who wished to sleep earlier OR wanted to enjoy TV or reading a book. Breakfast was wonderful and saved us a stop on our journey in the AM. Was a bit surprised that there was no rack of «nearby attractions» pamphlets, especially in this wonderful town.

One of the nicer hotels in town. Included buffet breakfast at attached restaurant is very good. Rooms are clean, well appointed and have comfy beds with lots of pillows. Nice touch that they have some rooms that welcome pets. Really nice indoor pool. Great experience for decent price.

Is this a hotel or a kids play area? I’m not sure and neither is the front desk. The pool opens at 8 and after that forget sleeping, the sound of screaming kids fills the place and the front desk won’t do anything about it. Paid over $ 180 for a room I couldn’t sleep in. And the lady at the front desk should lose her job, she was an incredible witch. She actually told me the kids were not screaming but«just playing». No, actually they were screaming, for over an hour. Terribly run place.

A solid place to stay in Dubuque. This was my first stay, but I can tell that the place was recently-remodeled and the rooms reflect such. All the amenities one might expect at a solid 3-star hotel(comfy beds, fridge, big TV, free wifi, etc.). The indoor pool and area gave the ground floor a strong smell of chlorine, but I can imagine that this is quite the place to bring the kiddos for a little fun and ‘sun’ during a frigid Midwestern winter. The pool table and air hockey table(not to mention the attached sports bar) might make this a fun place to be stuck for an extended stay.

The Good Stuff: Spacious, clean & comfortable rooms with updated furnishings. Nice mattress & pillows. Good location on Hwy 20 and plenty of close, free parking. Free WiFi. Huge indoor pool area. Up-to-date conference rooms. The check-in staff were efficient and friendly. The group rate we got($ 70) was a bargain for a modern full-service hotel. Restaurant: I didn’t try it on this visit, but we got a free breakfast voucher with the room. We had a breakfast buffet in the conference room which was the traditional fare and more than adequate. The Only Downside: There is only one, tiny elevator which holds maybe 5 adults with bags. That can makes for long wait lines at busy times.
The Best Advice: Ask for a lower room and use the stairs.

Nice hotel! The room that we stayed in was very clean and orderly! The swimming area was under a dome which was like a greenhouse so it made the pool area very warm almost too warm! We dunked into the pool and enjoyed lounging around in the hot tub. We had a good nights sleep and enjoyed the continental breakfast in the morning at Champps restaurant which was attached to the hotel. Fun place to relax and rest while in Dubuque!
