Wow, I can’t believe they closed. I’ve been to Stacey’s only a few times and I absolutely loved it every time I went there. I’ve always ordered the pasta– which I thought was delicious! Stacey’s was a great place for my family and I to go to and celebrate special events. I am going to miss Stacey’s. — Samantha Stone :)

What? They closed this place? Now where can I have my vendors take me for my free lunches? This was always my go-to spot when I want a $ 20 – 30 meal for free. Thank goodness there’s another location on Downtown Pleasanton(Main Street) Their menu is extensive, too, so if you’re dining with a vegetarian or a meatatarian, both person will be satisfied! I really liked the Portabella Mushroom burger and their salads here! PS, the creator of Dilbert owns this place!

Came here Friday evening with another couple before going to see«Hangover»(funny!). I’ll start with the décor… definitely newish(as everything in this area seems to be) and while I like the circular bar surrounded by the dining room layout, something still seemed a bit Lyon’s or Denny’s-ish to me. Good and knowledgeable bartender. Decent gin martini(though they didn’t have 209 gin, my new fav). Waiter(and all the staff for that matter) was friendly but they also seemed a bit green(not terribly polished). But they met our demands of getting served quickly since we had the movie waiting for us. I had the Gorgonzola Filet which was very good though far from the best I’ve had. Unfortunately, the price wasn’t commensurately far from, say, a Morton’s($ 33.95). Perhaps their rent is high there at the Shops at Waterford. So pricey, but at least it was a good piece of meat well prepared(medium). Service should get better over time as the staff matures. We were there somewhat early for a Friday so maybe the décor isn’t as noticeable when there’s more of a crowd. Overall, a good experience.

After contacting the management and ownership regarding my bad experience. The owner proceeded to write me a nasty email with veiled threats to warn other restaurants about me. This is an email from the Owner Mr. Scott Adams, a cartoonist who tried his hand at the restaurant industry. Dilbert cartoonist wrote«…I was explaining to the staff that even if they get a customer who is, hypothetically, an arrogant, obnoxious, delusional, lying, dick head, … don’t care if that customer acts as if his genitalia looks like a sad acorn on a frosty day…» WOW Do yourselves a favor folks skip this place. Spend your money where you get a good value for your meal.

Hoochie hangout. Came on Sat night to check out the DJ. Boobies and booties hanging out all over the place. Get some class. The bartendar service is also horrible. It’s like getting a mixed drink at a frat house. No skill or care. Skip it. Place does not feel welcoming.

I went to Stacey’s for a birthday dinner and was a little concerned about the prices, but to my surprise the food was GREAT! I ordered the Barbecued Boneless Beef Short Ribs, I love my food to be super hot when it’s served, and they must have known that! It seemed as if they had not even given it time to cool down. The meat was perfectly cooked and was extremely tender. From the bar I ordered a Peartini it was so yummy I had three. We had some sort of pear dessert that was scrumptious. If Stacey’s was closer I would go more often. When I’m in the area I plan to stop by again.

My family has visited this location a couple of times. The service is excellent but the atmosphere and the food you receive is not worth the price. It is quite a drive for me since I am from the San Jose area and to be honest, it is not worth it. If I lived closer, I would consider Staceys better. But if you are considering making the drive, I would advise you to save your time and money. The food in my opinion is on the same level as Yankee Pier at Santana row. Nothing too exciting and in some circumstances very disappointing.

After always going to the Stacey’s in downtown Pleasanton — which I love for its location and its food, my 2 co-workers and I decided to head over to Dublin to try the Stacey’s at Waterford location. We arrived to Stacey’s a little after 6pm on a Wednesday night and we were seated immediately — a cozy table by the window. You can’t help but notice that the atmosphere is much more warmer and trendier than the Pleasanton location. Your eye immediately catches the awesome bar and the deep hues of red all around the restaurant. The dinner menu is huge — so much to choose from — and although on the pricer side, you get the bang for your buck :) I decided upon Chipotle Prawns — per the suggestion of my BFF and a wedge salad. The Chipotle prawns are out of this world… enough heat to keep it interesting and an awesome flavor that I didn’t expect. I think I found my new fave. Stacey’s at Waterford has great service. Our server Kirsten was attentive and came by enough to make sure the food was good. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals :) This is a great date spot, work dinner spot and even after hours spot — fridays/saturdays, no cover :) I can’t wait to go back :) Cheers!

Oh Stacey’s at the Waterford, how do I miss thee? We used to come in for Happy Hour all the time, but since our dear friend went and had a stroke, it’s really put a damper in «el hora de bebida.» I’m a fan of Stacey’s for so many reasons, but let me break down the highlights: 1) Slider Mondays(I think most people know this as Game Night). So they have games too, but the games are really overshadowed by the deal on tiny burgers imported from heaven. I am crazy about the crab cake slider and the ahi slider swam its way right into my heart. 2) This place has a great vibe. If you hadn’t parked in a Safeway parking lot, you’d never know this swanky place is in a strip mall. 3) They pour a lovely martini. If you’ve read my reviews you may know I have strong opinions regarding variations in Starbucks. Grey Goose dirty martinis is pretty much the same thing for me – I don’t know how places can screw it up, but they can and baby they do. Stacy’s does it perfect EVERYTIME. So all in all, Stacy’s at Waterford is a great place; see you there and you better be holding a slider

This is my third review today, and I’m pretty exhausted =)(took a long trip up to Sonoma today and I want to go to bed haha) I’ve been here before for dinner, and it was excellent. My husband and I went here for our«date night» tonight. Service was a little slow to start off with, but that’s okay. I love Stacey’s … their food is always excellent, and they have something for everyone on their menu… and their menu is actually really comical(if you look closely and read everything). We brought in our own bottle of wine, and they charged a $ 15 cork fee, which is fine, just figured I’d mention it. Will I be back? Definitely! I had the grilled Salmon = excellent, and my hubby had one of the specials, steak w/crab meat on it = also excellent. Oh, and they have a GREAT drink menu =) I want to go back and try their Orange martini… like a Lemon Drop, but with Orange-goodness and champagne … woohoo for bubbles!

So, I’ve already reviewed Stacey’s in Pleasanton, and I don’t know why it took me so long to wander over to Stacey’s Waterford, but I finally did like 5 years later. I would have to say that as soon as I entered I was already more a fan of the Stacey’s Waterford than the Pleasanton one solely because of the atmosphere… very warm but also trendy. I went with a party of seven(work dinner) and our table was right next to the bar. I love the bar. It’s very trendy looking and the vodka display itself is pretty impressive. If I was still single and my guy took me to this place for drinks I’d definitely be impressed… it just seems like the perfect place… not to noisy, not too quiet and just sophisticated enough where it’s not stuffy. As I’m writing this, I just decided that my hunny and I are going there for a date night one of these days. So moving on from atmosphere, I didn’t stray from my usual Stacey’s order — I love the chipotle prawns that much, and they were just as delicious and satisfying as every other time I’ve had them. Every dish I’ve had at this restaurant has been delicious and impressive in presentation. Just trust me, eat there and you’ll leave happy. Yum! Wine selection always good and I think they have some sort of ½ off wine deal on Mondays or Tuesdays. Cocktails are delicious, and I was watching the bartender working/shaking/mixing etc… he knows what he’s doing you won’t be disappointed. Lastly, I love the service at this place. Every waiter/waitress I’ve had is extremely friendly, but professional… you feel like you are talking to a friend, so if you need to make a complicated order they don’t give you that look… you know«that look»… like«seriously you want steamed vegetables and another fork too? I better be getting a good tip for my inconvenience.» They are totally not like that. I appreciate that. Make reservations, they are packed even on a Wednesday evening. I think they get a lot of corporate teams showing up. Grab dutch mints on your way out the door. They’re delicious and your date will thank you.

We gathered here for a co-workers B-Day, especially because they have game night on Mondays. We all love playing Apples-2-Apples and were looking forward to it. We were disappointed… they did not have the usual set up of games out on the bar area, so after we all finally settled in, we asked our server for the game. He said sure. He came back with drinks no game. He was good about refilling beer, but not water or soda… WTF? We asked a second time for the game, and again the response was«sure», but another let down… We were a party of 15, i think only 2 people had soda… that’s a large bar tab… and you can’t grab us a game? It’s suppose to be GAMENIGHT at Stacys, that’s what they advertise… because of this service i will not be going back. Everything is really expenisve, i could go somewhere else for less!

We took a friend here and enjoyed the décor. The food was so-so. Our friend’s Mediterranean Pizza was standard. My Jambalaya was tasty and probably the best of the three, and my husband’s Sweet Chili Glazed Ahi was okay. The Banana Eggrolls that we had for dessert were disappointing. Looking at it, you expect it to be warm, but it was barely that. The outside wrap around the banana was chewy and hard to cut through to get a bite with your banana. Too bad b/c the concept has potential. Overall, the food was okay, but what made it worse was when the bill came. We used a gift certificate(a $ 50 g.c. that I purchased for $ 20). Anyhow, because of that, the waiter added a 22% gratuity cost for the three of us. So I’m all for tipping high if it’s well deserved, but adding 22% gratuity for three of us just because we used a gift certificate was unreasonable. Our waiter’s presence was minimal — our water glasses stayed empty and food took longer than it should have to come out. The 22% threw Stacey’s out as a future dining experience.

Stacey’s is a nice little up scale bar/restaurant in East Dublin. The décor is nice with lots of reds and purples and is dimly lit. I came here last night to celebrate a coworker’s birthdays and had drinks. The martinis that the girls had look really good and service was decent. They have a flat screen TV so I was watching MNF while the chicas were gabbing away. Nice place to come have drinks. Food is decent however is somewhat pricey.

Ambiance: Warm, rich, a little bit trendy with a slight dash of trying too hard. On the whole, I’d give it an 8. Service: Reasonable, friendly, enthusiastic but short of pushy. Drinks: I ordered«something fruity and alcoholic» and got exactly that. It was drinkable but lacked pizazz. My companion’s wine was quite good, and reasonably priced. Food: A study in mediocrity. The bread was quite good, and the meal went downhill from there. Imported goat cheese with caramelized pears was tasty, but lacked subtlety. I was hoping for pears that were caramelized in their own sugar, but instead got something that was a bit closer to a goat cheese crème brûlée with thinly-sliced pears on top. It was certainly edible, but did not live up to my expectations. Against my better judgment, I ordered the risotto du jour. It sounded excellent until they got to the part about a six ounce ribeye on top– who slaps a slab o’steak on top of risotto? Still, curiosity got the better of me and I ordered it. The steak was edible but a little bit fatty, and the risotto was goopy and lacked any measure of subtlety or finesse. I wound up leaving most of the steak. My friend described his mussels as OK, but not something that he would order again. The dessert tray looked largely unappealing– I would strongly recommend that they switch to a dessert menu, since any desire I might have had for sweets was killed by the presentation. Portion sizes were far too large for my tastes. The goat cheese appetizer could have served four quite easily. The risotto was about 50% larger than a reasonable. I ate maybe half the risotto dish and a third of the appetizer, and I still left feeling overly stuffed. I really wanted to like this place, but I can’t bring myself to do it. The food is about on par with an average mediocre chain restaurant. I really like what I think they’re trying to be, but they don’t quite get there.

I celebrated my 30th birthday here last weekend, but mostly because I had a $ 100 gift card and a $ 50 gift certificate from . The service was okay but our server committed a cardinal sin… she brought out our appetizers and entrees at the same time. Since I was paying, I ordered dishes for the table to share. The Spinach & Artichoke Dip was tasty but the Calamari was oddly stringy. The Pizzas were pretty good and the Gnocchi was delicious. I hate to say it, but this place is over-priced. Could be why there was hardly anyone in the restaurant on a Saturday night.

I came in for bar service only to meet up with a friend of mine who loves to take care of me(who said you can’t have plantonic rich friends?). I ordered my diet cokes with great diligence! Service was friendly, but it could have been the fact that I was chillin with 2 guys with good jobs! Either way I’d probably come back here with good company again, if anything, just for drinks!

I’ve dine here before for lunch and it was okay… well at least the service was a lot more prompt than tonight. I’m not kidding, they had 1 server for the whole dining area! It took forever but I can’t hold our server accountable for that. Stacey’s, stop being a cheap ass and hire more servers! You end up losing more money due to poor untimely services. Not to mention, you overall Unilocal aren’t looking too good either. If you are here, the mac n-cheese is fairly decent.

We walked in and I was instantly impressed with the colorful curvaceous décor and the delicious aromas. On a Tuesday night, it was hoppin’, and a little bit loud. Our host, James, was so friendly(and cute). He thanked us for calling to let them know we were running late, and gave us some nice seating options. Our server was very helpful in assisting us in our entrée selections. Throughout the meal, she was there when we needed her, and elsewhere when we didn’t. My prawns in chipotle cream sauce over mashed potatoes was as visually appealing as it was delectable. My friend’s halibut was equally beautiful and tasty. I wish I had brought a camera to take some Unilocal photos of the pretty food. My cabernet was very good, and my friend’s «Creamsicle» cocktail was positively addicting. The desserts looked nice, but we were all full by that time. I’m adding this venue to my very short five star list.

I’ve been here 3 times, all at lunch and it was always someone else’s idea. All three times, the service has been well-meaning but odd, the food average and the tab high. The décor tries to be edgy but to me it comes across like ‘edgy for Dublin’ which ain’t all that edgy. The food is somewhat tasty but I could say the same for Chevy’s. The last time I was there for a late lunch, I was there with a very important client. Our server was also the bartender. While she was ‘serving’, she was involved in some sort of important task in the little room behind the bar. Stocking shelves? Inventory? Eating her own lunch? Who knows. I had to walk up to the bar to ask her to bring our drinks. I had to walk back up to the bar to find out where our food was. It took so long, I was tempted to ask for a milk carton so I could be sure that there wasn’t a picture of our lost lunch on it. This place does not scream out ‘professional restaurant management’. I find the one in Pleasanton to be well-run. At Waterford, there’s always a feeling of impending doom. I have no idea how the manager comes up with a ‘surprised face’ when things don’t go well. Get that gal an Oscar.
