Mountain Mike’s Pizza

I have been going to this location for some time now and they do generally good job. However, last Tuesday I went to pick up my pizza which I phoned ahead and was very shocked by the rudeness of an employee in the front. This lady had a dark glasses on and when I picked up my pizza my family then decided to eat the pizza at the restaurant rather than to take it out. I then inform the same lady that we did changed our mind and would like to get some plates to eat in. She flatly refused to give us plates and she told me that they about to close the restaurant. I check the hour of the operation and we still had 1 hour left before the place closed. So they were trying to close the restaurant 1 hour before the posted closing time. I am really angry at this dishonest employee whom like to force the customers out of their place because they want to go home. Wow… Does the owner know that?

Their pepperoni is awesome and the pizza is high quality, freshly made from scratch every day

Not sure who the little Asian girl with the attitude is but the service in this location has gone down big time on her part. This girl has major attitude not sure why she has a job here… I wouldn’t rant so much but it’s the third time I’ve been here and same attitude everytime. DONT work in customer service if you’re angry at life! Won’t be coming back to this location!

We’ve gone to MM for years and have been happy with it. They recently began using an app with Eat24 via Unilocal.I’ve used it twice now and am a big fan.
The delivery drivers have always been great — polite, pleasant and courteous.

Wow this is a very professional and clean establishment. The pizza is preferable to some of the other restaurants in the area and the staff is amazing. There is one employee with black hair who is extremely helpful and always smiling and cheerful. She is a great example of professionalism. For quality service and good food I would choose this location.

Tried to order delivery 45 minutes before they closed. That’s a pretty big window. Denied delivery, pickup only. If you can’t support delivery during your business hours then something needs to be adjusted.

This place is the best. The pizza is super fresh and they’re always playing the WARRIORS! Pro tip: buy the dessert pizza and put Lorde’s ice cream on it. Lorde’s is the ice cream place that’s attached!

Service is terrible! NEVER GO EAT PIZZA HERE IF YOU WANT GOOD PIZZA and TO FEEL VALUED AS A Customer!! Let me start by saying I have been coming to this mountain Mike’s for the last seven years I always spend $ 40-​$ 60the customer service has always been bad but the last two times took it over the edge. While I was dining with my two young daughters 12 and 18, I ordered large half pepperoni half combination no onions when I got the pizza it had onions on it I asked if they could take the onions off. The guy behind the counter gave me a death stare and told me just wait ma’am, just wait, meanwhile he was mumbling cuss words under his breath .this petrified my young daughter. We felt threatened so we got our pizza and left! Never bringing my children back there again!! Second time I went, once again they made my pizza wrong I asked if they could remake it. the man and woman I believed to be the owner because when I asked for a manager they said there was no manager working!!! And refused to give me their corporate number! told me I have to pay for the pizza before he could start making it!!! I’ve been coming here for seven years and have never not paid for my pizza ??? Just rude people!!! they’ve always been dirty, floors and walls dingy and oily ect. I’ve seen bugs crawling around the salad bar and in the bathrooms! But I overlooked it because I use to like the pizza .but now the food has even went down hill! combined with bad service and filthy mess I just can’t go back I’d give this a negative –1 star if I could.

The worst pizza I have ever had. Not to mention the last time we came in for our pickup we saw BUGS! crawling near the salad bar.

We went here last friday night with a group of 6 of us. The gal said we were the last order. I asked her if we had time to sit and eat our pizza and she said no problem. We ended up being kicked out of the place before we could even finish our food. Mind you it was only 9:15 and they were still cleaning up. I will never eat here again this was my first time coming and my last time. I do hope this owner of this place sees this review and reprimands the staff as they will continue to lose business due to the rude help they have there. Do yourself a favor and head over to Zachary’s pizza where the food is great and the servers are friendly!

The service here is HORRIBLE!!!
I tried to call in an order for pick-​up at 8:30pm. They’re hours of operation is open until 9pm. I called and let the phone ring for 30 minutes before they picked exactly at 9pm to tell me that they were closed and no longer making Pizza!
I asked to speak to a manager & they told me there was none there, then they refused to give me a managers name!
My husband went in to place an order, and they turned him away at 8:50pm, saying it was a holiday. It was Mother’s Day!
Do not go there and avoid the frustration from the horrible service there!
I only gave them one star because I HAD to, but I would have given them NO STAR!

Do Not Buy here! We’ve been loyal customers for over 10 years, and they have new management or something?!? They lost ½ our order, then gave my husband the wrong order. When he got home, I called & they put me on hold & never came back!
They said «let me look up your order» Yeah. No thanks!
BONUS — 1 pizza is burnt the other is under cooked… looks like I’m making dinner tonight & disputing this charge.

Twice I was delivered the wrong order. The second time I called into the store and requested to speak with management. Being pissed and very hungry my vocabulary became very colorful when requesting from «managment» the f@%@?&! pizza be made correct and sent a third time. Got nowhere as «mangager’ was offended by my vocabulary he felt I was cussing at him. I explained I used a cuss word to emphisize my point that I did not CUSS him. Never once did I say F@$& you or F off. Ended call with a keep the effen pizza and return my money. I was hung up on. 46 dollars and I have nothing to eat and they still have my money. I will be contacting the establishment multiple times daily until my money is returned.

Where did the cheese go?
The pizzas I order seem have an inadequate amount of cheese. Maybe I never noticed but it’s pretty bad.

Let me start by saying that I think Mountain Mike’s is one of the better chain pizzerias in the Bay Area. I’ve always liked their pizza. The crust is always a good mixture of crispy and soft and the toppings are top notch. I don’t have a problem with endorsing their pizza.
This review, however, is about how they ripped me off and how they don’t care about their customers. This evening, I ordered a «Everest» pizza for takeout. I had their current coupon all cut out that said $ 18.99 for any large specialty pizza. I had a small request and asked for no mushrooms and no onions on half the pizza and extra cheese all over. I figured $ 18.99 + 8.5% tax = $ 20.60, which with extra cheese, might be another $ 2.00, but to my surprise, when I went to pick up the pizza, they charged me $ 25.05. That’s basically $ 4.00 for extra cheese, and what a rip off it was!
Who charges $ 4.00 for extra cheese (which seemed nonexistent)?!? Anyway, the girl at the counter was nice but told me she didn’t have any power to field my complaint so she advised me to air my grievance here on Unilocal!I’m simply going to close and say that $ 4.00 for an extra sprinkle of cheese is a rip off and I’m not a happy customer (but their pizza is always delicious).

Its not very often that I eat Vegetarian. I have to admit that the Veggie More pizza from Mountain Mikes is one of my favorite vegetarian meals.
I only wanted a Veggie More personal pizza. When I ordered it the woman working behind the counter said that they don’t usually do specialty personal pizzas. I didn’t see the menu indicate that. They said personal pizzas are usually only one topping. I’ve been to Round Table and they make the regular menu items as personal pizzas, no problem. I just thought this is a kind of bad rule on Mountain Mikes part.
She then went to the back to ask and the cook. He said it was fine. So that was nice. Maybe they said ok because it was only a veggie pizza and not a meat lovers or something.
The pizza was good. I however hesitate to make this a regular lunch stop because of the one topping personal pizza rule.

We ordered pikes peak and it had all the meats on it. And to my surprise it wasn’t as greasy as some other places. We also ordered the Hawaiian, plenty of pineapple and Canadian bacon. The cheese was delicious, and the crust wasn’t overcooked or undercooked it came out great. However, it was a little too much bread for me. The dough was great but the crusty hard part on the bottom was a little bit much. And I find them to be pretty expensive. We got two larges for about 55 dollars, and it wasn’t worth 55. But overall pretty good pizza, but overpriced in my opinion.

Good pizza for less than going to Round Table. The services is always good. For employing younger people they are extremely professional and try very hard to handle each customer with grace and style.
They have added a Loard’s ice cream in store so be prepared for the kids to want dessert.
They have a salad bar for those watching their weight and the buffalo wings are really good too!
Enjoy a pie with your family or friends in this well priced, great tasting, well staffed pizza parlor!
