I trust Lisa S with my life. I’ve been going to Kada for two years and she has never let me down! I always leave there feeling so beautiful and satisfied. She gives me exactly what I ask for! The salon is clean, beautiful, and the staff is super friendly!

This review is for Loletta. She was absolutely phenomenal! First, I entered Kada and she was already at the front desk waiting for me. Then, I tell her that I would like to go dark brown with my hair color. She pulls out swatches. I have been getting my hair colored here for 6 years and NOONE ever pulled out the swatches, except Loletta. She was honest and straightforward and made me feel 100% comfortable. She was incredibly quick but accurate. Also, she cut my hair to exactly the length that I wanted. I surely will be remembering her name for future appointments!

I bought a groupon there and they spent 30 minutes to make my highlights! Was awesome! No complains ;)

Lisa has been doing my make-up and blowouts here for years. I get my haircut over an hour away in my hometown by the woman who’s been doing it for over 15 years and I wasn’t ready to switch over right away. I really need a trim one day when I was in for a blowout so I asked Lisa to do it. Well, I’ll no longer be doing that hour long drive any longer. I have the straightest blonde hair ever. You can see a bad haircut very easily. Lisa did an awesome job! This saves me close to $ 100 plus gas and my time!

I too felt I got different treatment here because I bought a groupon. It always amazes me too, that businesses sign up for groupon so they can get new clients and exposure for their business, then specifically treat those new clients like crap! Anyways, I got a very decent modern cut from a girl named lisa I think. However the attitude and treatment I got from the receptionist just tainted my whole experience. I always wonder how these types of people are employed in front line customer service positions, where they are greeting customers and basically the face of the company. So in summary, if you can get past the front desk, you will get a decent cut.

I really don’t understand how Kada doesn’t have a higher star rating on Unilocal. It’s a shame, because I always have very good experiences. Since my first visit, I’ve been back 3 times, all for haircuts. I LOVE that they have online reservations, and I never have a problem booking. I’ve had 3 different stylists during my last visits: Jeanine, Jessica, and most recently, Lauren. Each time I was just getting a trim with my layers redone because they’d grown out. Of the three, I liked Lauren the best overall. She gave me a gorgeous, expensive-looking cut and was very friendly but not overly chatty. Jessica is a very, very close second – she gave me a great cut and was super friendly. She also has early morning appointments, which is a huge plus. Jeanine was my least favorite – I felt that she rushed through the appointment and just didn’t want to deal with me. I think she was working on someone’s color at the same time, but still, it takes ten minutes to cut my hair, so she could have been a little friendlier in that time. Maybe I caught her on a bad day. Still, the cut was good. I think I’ll stick with Lauren and Jessica from now on.(By the way, I remembered that Danielle was the one who did my cut/color on my first visit – she was very good, too!) They often have a Groupon deal(not valid for clients within the last 6 months, or else I would have bought it), and I would recommend grabbing it while you can. The salon is professional, not very frou-frou, and I always walk out with great hair that gets me compliments. A cut without Groupon is $ 32, which is totally reasonable to me.

This place gave me the worst salon experience I’ve had in 20 years. I got highlights and they burned my scalp with the tinfoil so badly I have a scab there the day after. I showed the stylist a picture of what I wanted and she gave me a cut and color that wasn’t even remotely close. I could have spent less money on a student hairdresser and gotten something closer to what I wanted. She did not highlight to the shade I wanted, but I got charged for a toner because presumably that was suppose to make it the right color. It’s not. I wanted a pale blonde and got gold and brassy. The cut is awful, not anything like what I asked for. The bangs I had been growing out to go with the cut I wanted now sit on the sides of my face rounded and childish. I also went in with a Groupon, and judging from the other reviews it seems no one explained to Kada what the point of that is. The discounted package is supposed to advertise your services to people who wouldn’t normally come in. You give them a fantastic experience and the customers come back for full price next time. That’s how it’s supposed to work. I have and do spend lots of money on my hair. Over a hundred dollars generally. And I tip well. But Kada will not only miss out on my future full priced business, but get another low rating added to their abyssmal reviews. It’s been at least 10 years since a salon has made me want to cry every time I look in the mirror because my hair looks so awful. And did I mention, THEYBURNEDMYSCALP! Yeah, I think I did. The regulars in there seemed to be happy enough. Probably because they were doing single process, super short hair cuts. Kada is misleading by claiming to be a «design hair studio.» There is nothing artistic or designed about the work they’re doing. You’re better off at Chop Shop or Fantastic Sams. Save yourself the money. This experience wasn’t even worth the Groupon price.

Had my first appointment here yesterday. Just moved into the neighborhood a few months back, and it’s literally a three minute walk from my new place, so I figured I’d give it a try. i booked online for an appointment with Lauren. I arrived a few minutes early, and they took me right away, and offered me coffee or water(which I declined, but the gesture was appreciated). Lauren styled my hair exactly how I described that I wanted it. She was very friendly and we chatted the whole time. The whole process was great, and I was out of there in a half hour. My haircut was reasonably priced($ 32), and I will definitely be back and will request Lauren again when I go. I’ve been thinking of getting some color done, so that may be my next appointment.

I went here a few weeks ago, and was greatly disappointed with my experience. I purchased a groupon and when I tried to schedule the appointment on the phone they seemed annoyed and overbooked… so it was difficult to schedule an appointment. I arrived slightly early to my appointment. I was greeted upon arrival(the high point of the experience). I then waited 15 minutes past my appointment time, was then quickly shuffled back to have my hair shampooed. And then i overheard the manager ask one of the stylist to just quickly cut my hair so they could move on to another client. I can’t complain about the hair cut. It was fine, but nothing special. I do think I was treated«differently» because of my groupon, however being new the area I could have quickly become a regular full paying customer. However I will move on to another salon in hopes of better service.

I would NEVER go back here again! First off, I felt that I was treated differently because I used a Groupon. My hair dresser(whose name I will not mention, for her sake) was extremely unfriendly and barely said a single word to me the entire 2 hours I was there. I asked for caramel highlights and I received copper. While she was dying my hair, she dyed my FACE and barely made an effort to remove the coloring,(another stylist noticed and had to come over to «clean up her mess», that’s how bad it was). When I got home I was almost in tears because I was going out for my birthday in a few hours and had to scrub my face til I turned red,(not to mention I had to re-style my hair… but I’ll get to that…). I felt like I was inconveniencing her because I was her last appointment of the day. She blatantly rushed through everything and was coughing and sniffling all over me(clearly she was sick and should have stayed home that day in the first place). I had asked for her to style my hair straight and she didn’t even bother using a flat iron because she obviously wanted to out of there and go home. I have very thick curly hair, you cannot blowdry my hair straight. Any hair stylist would know this. I did not feel like a priority, quite the opposite. In the service industry, it shouldn’t matter if a client is your last client, if you’re sick or if you’re just having a bad day; you treat the client well. I would have been a returning costumer had my experience been a good one. I would, again, never go back there or ever suggest this salon to a friend. SIDENOTE: Despite all the flaws, I STILLTIPPEDWELL! PS — I just got a phone call from them thinking it would be a friendly«follow-up» call, but nope! They called to tell me they had to cancel my appointment(???). I returned their phone to call inform them that my appointment was last Saturday, and I had not booked any further appointments. A RUDE receptionist responded«oh…ok» and hung up. UGH! Never again…

I bought a Groupon for Kada for $ 39 partial highlight, cut, and blowout. I didn’t expect much being that it was quite inexpensive but I was very pleasantly surprised. I had Janine as my stylist. I was in and out within one hour. That was a plus for me. I don’t really enjoy sitting for hours in a hair salon. Janine was quick and precise with the highlights. She did an amazing job with the blow out. I went out for dinner with my family for my birthday that night and everyone complimented my hair. Then people continued to compliment the hair based on pictures on Facebook. It was kind of funny because people don’t normally make that many comments on my hair… ever. I’d say the only reason for the lack of star is that it was not a glamourous atmosphere. I don’t know what the prices there are normally but that may reflect in lower prices than some fancier salons. Which is worth it to me if the result is the same! If you buy the Groupon, I would confidently recommend Janine if you are looking for a straight blow out. This salon is located in the Drexel Line shopping center.

I have been going to Kada on and off for over 3 years. I keep going to other salons thinking I am getting a better deal, but I keep coming back to Lauren at Kada even though the prices went up. She does amazing highlights I received a ton of compliments on my hair color. The salon is clean and everyone is very nice.

The first time I went to kada I had Christine as my stylist. I loved the cut she gave me and she was very friendly. The second time I went she was not as friendly and gave me the impression she did not want to be bothered by me. I had asked her to thin my hair, but she hardly did it at all. When I got home I realized that she didn’t even show me the back of my hair. There was a big section of my layers that looked uneven. I went back and complained and she gave me a lot of attitude and claimed she saw nothing wrong with it. Needless to say, Christine just lost a client and I will not be returning to kada.
