I have been to this location on many occasions and I won’t be back. I ordered the Volcano Blackened Mahi. The fish was so dry it was almost jerky. The«fresh salsa» on top looked to be a few days old. The salad was pretty fresh, but the dressing was doled out in a container that held maybe a tablespoon of dressing. The side of Island Mac Salad was $ 2.99 and I counted ten macaroni. They have cheaped out on ingredients and portions and it shows. Boo, Rumbi.

Left hungry. Way too expensive. Rice is gross like uncle bens. Slow. No menu to view while waiting in long line.

Terrible service. The cashier took my order, 15 minutes later I as where my food was. She never bothered to give it to the cook. The steak freezer burnt.

Really busy but still got my food fast. The burger was delicious. Their sweet potato fries are awesome.

Ate lunch on Monday Feb 2, 2015 late afternoon at Draper Rumbi. I have eaten many times at nearly all the Rumbi locations as I am a contractor, working all along the Wasatch Front and usually buy lunch. I ordered a large chicken rice bowl with Bali peanut sauce. It was awful! The chicken was cooked hrs ago, the vegetables were the consistency of precooked Chinese food, «like at the grocery store under a warming lamp», exactly what I would avoid. The brown rice smelled, and tasted like an old dishrag. The peanut sauce was watered down. So sad. No way I will be going back to this location.

Love the kahuna burger! you can’t go wrong with their potato fries, too. So good! The fish tacos are good too if you like spicy.

I love Rumbi & I’m never disappointed in what I get. My favorite is the Chicken Jamaican Jerk rice bowl — I get the full size and eat half and have the rest for lunch the next day! And sometimes they have a coupon on for 2 items for $ 9.99 and I can feed my whole family of 5.

I love their menu. Rice/noodle bowls are often just what I want. For a while, their portions got smaller(right after a price increase, to make it worse!) There must have been a lot of complaints, because they almost warrant the price again, now. today was the first time I had a Mahi Mahi plate with salad – really tasty. Love the island music and flavor to the iced tea!

Food is consistent with other locations but the recent repaint has made this place feel less fun. Pretty bad job. Additionally the recent price hike starts to put this into a different tier than the other quick serves…

I have only ever gotten the salads here, but they are delicious and I am lead to believe the carb bowls are good too. The salads all have a ton of different and great flavors and textures which meld together in a truly mouthwatering fashion. The only downside is that the portions are big enough to feed a giant, ask for your sauce on the side and put at least half of it in the box before you even start eating. Also! It is loud here, at least at lunchtime, so don’t plan on an intimate conversation.

I’ve spent a lot of quality time on my beloved Hawaiian islands. I miss it desperately beginning the moment I head back to the airport. Rumbi provides me with a tiny twinkle of Aloha in the midst of an Aloha-less mainland. The décor and background music at Rumbi is a exhilirating reminder of Pacific sea breezes, surf bums, and sand between your toes. They offer consistently good salads, rice bowls, tacos and platters. They have regular featured specials which I always fall for… and am usually glad I did. They’re generally very tasty, and many more should rightfully be added to the permanent menu(a la Cabo Fish Tacos, yum!). A delightful Rumbi salad is my standard choice if the special doesn’t get in my head. I especially enjoy the Caribbean Chicken, Aloha Chicken, and Hula Chicken salads. The dressing is extraordinarily unhealthy, but worth the extra calories because it’s soooo gooood. The Mango Passionfruit Vinaigrette is my favorite.(I may or may not have been spotted ordering extra sides of this dressing in the past, pouring one entire serving on the salad and using the other serving in which to dip those«less coated» bites. Shameful.) Hubby is partial to the rice bowls, and loves the Spicy Hawaiian Teriyaki with chicken. I have to admit, it’s pretty good. But for my money, if it’s a rice bowl, it’s the chicken bowl with their fabulous Honey Orange sauce — dreamy! Especially when you add Sriracha(the bottled sauce of proper Gods and Kings, galaxy-wide). You get the choice of brown rice, too, which makes it even more amazing.(Can I get a witness?!?) Shockingly, I’ve never had a Rumbi sandwich. In fact, I didn’t even realize they offered sandwiches until I saw a guy literally shoving one down his throat the last time I was there. I’m pretty sure it was not properly masticated. But he certainly seemed to enjoy it all the same… I love many things about Rumbi. I love that you can call-in your to-go order and breeze by to pick it up. I love the cafeteria-type set up for ordering and paying — quicker than waiting for someone to come to you for order-taking. I love that the staff are all friendly and welcoming, and don’t care that you spend far too much time at the order counter deciding what to get. I love that they offer large and small bottles of Fiji water as an alternative to the self-serve soda machines. AND, my most recent infatuation at Rumbi: Rumbi Fries! They’re SO sexy! How did I miss this aspect of my beloved Rumbi for so long??? They’re half sweet potato fries, which in and of itself is brilliant. Their crispy, perfectly seasoned outsides and deliciously creamy insides have smitten me. I don’t even add salt to these beauties. They come with relatively tasty fry sauce, but frankly it does little to contribute to the deliciousness of the fries themselves. These may be the first and last fries I eat completely naked. The only things I have legit complaints about at Rumbi are(1) this location is such a bother to get in and out of(in a very busy area of Draper, and parking, although a big lot, is always a challenge); and(2) it seems to me that the to-go food is a lot smaller serving size than what you get when you dine in. Sufficient enough, but there really should be no difference in the amount of food you get either way, IMO. Do yourself a favor and get a little Aloha in your week. Rumbi can hook you up… a’hui hou!

Not impressed. Food taste was good. Quantity was poor. Didn’t get the correct sauce I ordered. And the rice bowl was 90% rice.

I don’t go to Rumbi often(or often enough?) but I do love quite a few things on the menu. Everything tastes fresh and delicious, and their sweet potato fries are some of my faves. Service is quick and prices are pretty reasonable. I’d give Rumbi five stars if they also offered cabana boys…

GUYS… need forgiveness for anything? Buy your wife a Voodoo Chicken Salad on the way home. This salad should be called the«Get out of jail free salad.» The meat and veggie rice bowls are okay, I personally prefer Yoshi’s.
