I’ve been coming to Dancing ever since I started working in Draper and this is my favorite coffee house I go to. I come here often with other people from work and I love that when we enter that they know our orders by heart, got to love baristas with those kinds of memoires. Makes our day that we recognize their faces and they know who we are to a degree unlike most main coffee shops. It’s just nice to see a friendly face. The coffee I tend to get every time is the Tiramisu, unbelievably tasty and while they have many other coffees and teas I have yet to try them. I believe I found the best coffee and even when they ran out of vanilla a few weeks ago the substitute they suggested made for a damn good tasting coffee. And finally while I never stayed and drank my coffee there they do have a wonderful lounge area with lots of great looking books and wi-fi. We usually see people haning on the couches relaxing as they drink there coffee~. Music has never been played overly loud and I could easily see myself there catching up with a old group of friends one day. Consider me a customer for life… or while I’m still in the area always. OH and final note, if you do go there often enough get the stamp card. Dancing Yeti I’ll be there tomorrow getting my free coffee in the morning. ;)

I love this place!!! The guys there are incredibly friendly and helpful. I enjoy going into places and asking for recommandations. The first time I went in there, I did this and the lady told me of their snickers drink. So so good! As well as the environment is open, they want you to stick around. Unlike several coffee places around the area. The atmosphere just has a wonderful vibe and the music isn’t too loud or too soft. I also enjoy the chocolate covered espresso bean with drinks. I always look forward to going there and would recommend it to anyone!

I debated over three or four stars — the place is really conveniently located and the workers are friendly. There is free wifi. It’s a quiet place to study, and they have protein drinks, which are great if you’re coming from the nearby gym. The prices, however, are on the steep side. One scoop of protein powder, two shots, and a cup or so of whole milk will run you 4.25. Still, that wouldn’t be a problem… if only my orders were ever correct. Ever. Really. Order skim milk and you might get almond or soy, order a bagel breakfast sandwich and the(cheaper) croissant sandwich may arrive instead. One time, the barista whipped ~8oz of protein drink until it produced two overflowing liters of warm foam, then with a confused look poured me out a cupful of bubbles, leaving the rest in the blender. They’re happy to correct any mistakes — that time, I got a larger cup of bubbles upon request — but you do have to ask. I’ve visited Dancing Yeti five times now, and not once gotten exactly what I ordered. It’s kind of a fun game, actually, if you’re pretty laid back and don’t really mind what you drink. If you’re having a tough day, though, it can be a little abrasive. Also, if you post a Unilocal review while physically at the store, the proprietor will come by to discuss it with you. Whoops! Fantastic, though, that they check their email so regularly. So just to pass the info along: the protein shake usually comes with almond milk.(Mine, today, was made with whole milk; perhaps because I did not specify.) Good to know.

love this place… the owner was happy to make a concoction for me that would suit my palate. My only complaint was that they don’t have a big tea selection– they just got in the roobios expresso(I missed the sign) which is fabulous, and he’ll get more. Sounds like they are committed to providing great drinks with quality ingredients. He said that spent a year researching by going to lots of coffee shops. Their baked goods look pretty amazing– they have some gluten free stuff. I’ll try some next time. Quiet little joint– I’m always scouting out coffee shops for the end of my work day and another day I stopped in at Beans and Brews on 114th which was packed… not sure why. Go here instead of where you usually go. Great comfy chairs too.

I needed a little pick me up after a Saturday evening of entertaining and table dancing, so we went for a short bike jaunt from Sugarhouse to Draper and back. Let me tell you, you forget how much it hurts to slip off the mahogany table into your neighbor’s lap until you do it for the fourth time in a month. Good thing he’s hot. But not as hot as the latte was at this little place. Too bad it was only me, the partner and what just may be the only coffee-drinking family in southern Salt Lake County. The kid behind the counter looked just old enough to bike over and open the shop by himself, but he knew how to run the Brasilia to brew some pretty good latte. When he’s a bit older we’ll discuss his other assets. So the first question I asked was what beans he was going to brew this lovely Sunday afternoon. He said he’d have to check as the owners had been changing beans lately to find one they liked. I had high hopes of hearing him say the beans were brought in fresh overnighted from somewhere in Chicago or perhaps Oregon. No, today they had Lavazza on hand. Honestly, it wasn’t the worst latte I’ve had in Salt City. He was taking notes the day they trained him to use the machina de café. The Yeti owners should seriously consider calling a smaller, more boutique roaster; they may actually give the barista something to do with his talent if they had some customers. What is notable here, and the reason you should go to Dancing Yeti isn’t the coffee. It was the blackberry coffeecake, which I thought I noticed a sign saying they made in-house. It was so good I had to buy the second piece in the pastry case and tip the barista again. He was very grateful.

I LOVE dancing yeti! The new owners have completely turned this place around. They have the most amazing menu, and their espresso is delicious! The Barista’s definitely know what they are doing and are super friendly. And their cupcakes are to DIE for, my favorite one is strawberry… they put a little strawberry on the inside! definitely blows starbucks outta the water, I wont go anywhere else!
