Great food. Parking is a little bit of a nightmare. Workers have no enthusiasm to even be there. $ 9 burrito but good.

This place is not a ripoff, they’ll just try to rip you off. The food itself is okay(not the most fresh looking, but not bad) but the service is HORRIBLE!!! We came here once a few years ago and it wasn’t a good experience. This was back in 2012 when they screwed up our order and over charged us. But, we decided to give them another chance because they had an offer going. It was completely DEAD when we came in. I could understand a pricing mistake if it was busy, but we were the only two people here. The staff wasn’t friendly and you could tell that they hated their jobs. We both ordered the Sweet Pork Salad. However, we were charged for a Barbacoa Beef Salad instead. If you dare to eat here, then triple check your receipts. We didn’t notice until we got into our car. It was only $ 1 but after reading so many reviews from Unilocalers on here about getting ripped off, it was a matter of principle. So, I went back in and told them they over charged us. They refunded the difference but the restaurant should be trustworthy in the first place. This should not be a normal thing that customers have to do. When I ordered my Sweet Pork Salad, the staff lady told me that the corn, salsa and various other fixins were extra. She basically said that I could only get lettuce and dressing. Okay, I know that avocado is always extra but I didn’t ask for that. I just wanted some corn and salsa. Later, I found out that it should have been included. For the price, you’re much better off going with Chipotle. Chipotle is actually slightly cheaper for some items but their ingredients are MUCHMOREFRESH! They do so much volume daily, that their food is fresh at any point during the day. The food here tasted decent but it looked like it had been sitting out all day. Plus, you don’t have audit your bill to make sure you weren’t ripped off. They really need to step things up if they want to compete against Chipotle. I’m seeing reviews on here from 2012 complaining about over charging and getting orders wrong.

I absolutely love this place. It’s my favorite restaurant, period. That is all.

The food is decent, but the service is horrible. In the last 4 visits I have been over-charged twice, and all 4 visits the staff was unkind… even going as far as to throw the food on the tortilla and rolling their eyes while making the burrito. We will never go back to this location… being treated rudely 4 times was enough. Perhaps Barbacoa is doing this on purpose to try and close this location?

So the food is good. But if you are looking for CUSTOMERSERVICE they dont have ANY! The workers never say hi, they don’t look happy, and don’t care about customer service at all.

The food is ok, the staff is a very unsmiling and uncaring crew. They have stopped including basic things like salsa in their soup even though they have offered it for years. Find somewhere else for your fast food Mexican. Nothing special about this place.

The employees acted like they didn’t really care and they asked what I wanted at beginning of my order then just stopped and wrapped it up.

I give it four stars for two reasons: first, the food is good and pretty fresh. Get either a burrito or a salad with either the sweet or the spicy pork and it will be dependably good. It’s not better or worse in my opinion than Chipotle, Café Rio, or Costa Vida, its lookalike neighbor chains, just slightly different, but very similar to Chipotle. The second reason, and pay attention if you have children, is that they provide a free kid’s meal with each entrée! This adds a completely game changing level of value if you are like me, have kids, and are annoyed by the hefty prices of kids meals that are only ever half eaten, or worse, how unhealthy they are(hello, McDonalds?). I can feed my family of four for like $ 17 here., and the food is good and fresh. This is definitely worth an additional star.

I used to really enjoy this place, but then Chipotle came to town. Both are very similar in terms of what they offer; however, Chipotle seems to be fresher — perhaps due to larger crowds and more turnover of product. I also enjoy the tortillas at Chipotle more. Now I know one place is locally owned and one place is a national chain owned by McDonalds. I know all that. It’s just that the food here is a notch down and therefore I tend to choose Chipotle over this place every time — even though Barbacoa is closer to where I live. The one thing that I enjoy here more than at Chipotle is the steak. It is usually cooked nicely and perfectly seasoned. But that single item is not enough to sway me. Their chips are good but their salsa is kind of weird, very gelatinous.(Seems like they add corn starch to it to thicken it up or something.) The taste is okay, though. It’s just that darn consistency. Overall, I’d say this place is okay, but at the end of the day, I’ve definitely experienced better.

It’s Chipotle. Or did Chipotle come first and Barbacoa ripped them off? I like the chicken burritos. I go with the spicy salsa. I ask for sour cream but it’s like they’ve watered the sour cream down to milk. I’ve never understood that. I’d go with a Rancheritos or my favorite — Comalitos before I’d buy a burrito here.

For as similar as this place is to Chipotle, I didn’t think it was nearly as good. It wasn’t awful; I just feel that the spices and seasonings are much better there than here. If you like this restaurant, you owe it to yourself to go check out Chipotle.

saw a google offer for this place and decided to give it a try. bf went to get take out and got three burritos. not only did they get one order wrong they rang up the bill incorrectly. a pork burrito was ordered and we were charged for it, but were given a vegetarian burrito. the size was definitely large(half made me full), but the quality wasn’t there. the salad and veggies in the burrito didn’t look or taste fresh. overall the food was okay. i rather spend my money and eat at café rio than this place.

Small menu, food isn’t that great for the price, will not need to come back. Glad I used a coupon to try it out

Barbacoa serves up great burritos at this Draper location. The food has always been good at this location and the restaurant staff is friendly. Compared to Café Rio, Chiptole, Bajio and any other burrito place Barbacoa is my favorite. Their meats are very good and their rice and beans are excellent. Good tasting food, fast and friendly service, and an overall nice restaurant inside.
