One of our favorite spots in Doylestown. The fish tacos are amazing. The consistency is something we appreciate about this place. And the people are welcoming and friendly

I thought this place was a chain and had low expectations. But the food was really great. The nachos were excellent and I had the chorizo taco. Plus it doesn’t hurt that they were super nice there and I liked the salsa bar and selection of hot sauces. My son had the shrimp teriyaki taco which was the only non traditional thing and it was great. bottom line — this isn’t the best place I’ve been for tacos but it was fresh and tasty. And I’m a bit picky about my nachos and these were some of the best I’ve had.

I’m a SoCal boy, born and raised. LA Tacos is a ballsy name to choose, and a lot to live up to. Been to LA Tacos twice. First time had carne asada and carnitas tacos, which were pretty good. Needed a pick-me-up, so ordered a fish taco. Mistake. Two cardinal sins: first, it was fried fish, which makes for a 2nd rate fish taco(even in LA). Second, I don’t know whether it was Mrs. Paul’s or Gorton’s of Gloucester, but it seemed to be one or the other. That’s a mortal sin. Something else to understand here: They’re playing to the palates of Pennsylvanians, which means anything beyond«bland» is «too hot, too hot!» So any flavor you’re going to get will come from their rather-respectable salsa and condiment bar. So think of the tacos they hand you over the counter as blank canvases. YOU will be responsible for making them anything other than bland.

Skip the tacos. Tried the pollo and the carnitas. Ingredients didn’t seem the freshest. A slice of cheese as base layer? I don’t get it.

We had a great date night dinner there. It was relatively quiet, which was surprising cause the food was excellent and we loved the complimentary margaritas! Friendly staff, good dessert and close to everything else in Doylestown completed the picture for a perfect evening!

Great casual, fast food dining with a friendly staff. Amazing Mexican salsa and condiment bar and excellent steak tacos for a reasonable price. Being from California, I couldn’t get over that you can BYO tequila for their Marquita mix or your own beer and wine. Large dining room in the back would make a friends and family party a snap. We sat in the front area overlooking the street and enjoyed the waitresses conversation.

I am from Arizona and moving while I knew that finding good Mexican food in PA was going to be a challenge, this place has certainly made me SMILE! I have tried the nachos, fish tacos and carne asada tacos, all were delicious as well as the salsa bar. I will be returning 100%

Got the burrito bowl. Nice atmosphere. Had a good salsa bar to have a side for your chips. Food tasted fresh. The burrito bowl was more of a salad than a normal burrito bowl, but still good.

The food in this place is about as imaginative as the name. They take zero risks with the flavors. An alternative name for this place might be: Frat house taco party or, burrito night at my irish mother-in-laws. However it’s not all bad. If you live within ear shot of this place they have conveniently installed outdoor speakers for your listening pleasure! The selections vary from the latest pop chart smash hits to all your mariachi favorites. The volume level is thoughtfully set to «I can’t hear my TV». Check it out!

Food. Overall it’s quite good. Fairly good flavor and simple Mexican fair. The menu is fairly simple and small but keep in mind the focus is fast casual. Service. The staff are always friendly and upbeat. Good overall vibe. The place is always clean and tidy. The place is not full dining service. But they do help you with bringing the food out. The ambiance is clean, fresh and fun.

I’m gonna give LA a strong three stars, food is good and service is Ok. Where it falls short is pricing, even for doylestown 3.85 for a chicken taco is pricey.

I came to L.A. Tacos planning to get a burrito but immediately spotted the churros sitting in the case on the counter. Although I fully expected them to be luke-warm and rubbery, I was wrong! These churros were deliciously warm. They were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Of all the decisions I have made in life, ordering these churros was definitely the best one. The only thing that could compete with these delicious churros was the service(being so nice even during my annoying rant about how good the churros were). Also my friends got burritos and they were good. Everyone should come here, always.

Decent food and good people. Parking is a bear if you are trying to grab a quick lunch, but if you are in town and meandering around, stop in and say hello. Again, the food is good, not great. They have a cool little vibe and huge windows for people watching. We like to support local businesses so we will probably be back, but wouldn’t go back if it were a chain.

Had the vegetarian burrito. I ate it, but it wasn’t anything special. Chipotle and Moe’s offer a better product. The beans were mushy and there really wasn’t a lot of flavor. The worst part was the orange Spanish rice – yuck. Why orange? The salsa bar was nice, but some of the items looked a bit off – thick and a little congealed. I won’t be back. Lots of other good Mexican places from which to choose. We would have gone across the street to the much better Mexican place but it was closed on Sunday.

I was excited to see a taco shop in Doylestown so didn’t hesitate to try it. Don’t be fooled by the limited seating up front, there is tons of seating in the back room to the left. The menu is small and simple which I like but was disappointed that not everything they have is listed there. For example, they sell tortilla chips but the only reason I know that is because I asked. The prices are a bit steep though. The salsa bar is expansive and a nice touch. I overheard the worker there saying that they were going to try staying open til 2 or 3am for the late night crowd which was great to hear. Now onto the food… the tortilla chips weren’t very good and not up to par with the chips served at other local Mexican spots so I wouldn’t recommend those. However the carne asada tacos were delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection so I’ll be back for those. Overall I will be returning but there’s room for improvement.

I think«does not suck» is a good description of this place. It’s not Los Angeles tacos. It is better than the average taco place you can find around Pennsylvania but if I was in Los Angeles, it would be the last place I ordered a taco from. It is better than Pocos or California Tortilla. I ordered 3 tacos to get a taste of each, carne asada, pescado(fish), and carnitas(pork). The best one was the fish taco. It was good. The next best was the carnitas. The tacos were standard. The salsa bar was weak with very few options. The best option was pineapple habanero but their options were«mild» or «spicy,» and those are not enough options. The carne asada was not carne asada, but beef brisket.

Does not suck. Suck-free Mexican food is a good thing. It’s not life changing, or anything. But it’s solid and I will be a repeat customer. As a taqueria, it has a limited menu, trying to focus on doing their thing well.

L.A. Taco is a locally owned business that recently opened on Main Street in Doylestown. They are trying to bring the LA taco truck experience to the east coast, and they only partially succeed. The taco choices are beef, pork or chicken. I had the chicken tacos, which were served in double corn tortillas, with beans lots of chicken, cilantro and tomatos. No sauce was provided though they have a fixings bar that have various salsa. Overall the tacos were devoid of flavor, and really needed the sauce. I had mine for take away and did not realize there was no sauce included. Chicken was moist but just bland. Tomatoes were the best you can expect in winter. And the beans just seemed out of place. I will go back and try it again, perhaps eat in to see if the experience is any better. The menu also includes burritos and quesadillas. The tacos are 3.75 per, burritos and quesadillas cost more than that. I like to support local businesses and hope they continue to improve their food and customer experience. Currently they are cash only, though I expect that will change.
