Love the banana ice cream. Good service and friendly staff are icing to the cake… No pun intended.

Rachel provided excellent customer service to us during our visit. She welcomed us and asked us if we wanted to try any flavors. Once we decided, she showed us her artistic skills when making our choice. The Ice cream was delicious! Rachel is an artist! Management needs to promote her!

Customer service was just okay, don’t remember being greeted. Hadn’t been to cold stone in a while so I was having trouble making up my mind but I just felt so rushed the whole time. There was no one behind us in the line so I didn’t really get it. Simply giving them three stars because they put big chunks of cookie dough in the best cake batter ice cream and they have a big variety of things you can add to your ice cream.

I hadn’t been here for quite some time, I have noticed they have nicely cleaned up their staff fairly well! As well as their store! I was quite impressed, especially from our server Rachael! Such a sweet persona, even when I tried disputing about the raised prices! Those prices are my reason for my 4 star… Yikes!!! I feel every time I come in, it gets pricier! But overall, good experience and such good ice cream!!!

It depends on when you go, that determines the service quality in addition to the selection. If it’s past 6 pm you are NOT getting a waffle cup, cone, or bowl. I’ve been multiple times and got the same result. The line is usually very long, they need more help.

Ok, so I take it the manager hasn’t read the reviews from Unilocal or simply doesn’t care. Reading this location’s review from the past years, I see things still haven’t changed: customer service still SUCKS here! I came in here with my daughter. There was one couple ahead of us, so the wait wasn’t an issue. The issue was the ice cream scooper dude. I asked for a kids size and like it size. As much as I frequent Cold Stones, I usually don’t have to request things, as the worker usually asks beforehand, you know, what they usually do when serving the customer. Well not Julian. He scooped my daughter’s ice cream in the cup before asking if I wanted to add a topping. I asked him why didn’t he ask if I wanted a mix-in and he said that the 1 mix-in isn’t free– it’s an additional free. Never knew that all of the times I’ve been to cold stones and got my kids some ice cream. Ok, no biggie. So next was my order– I told him what I wanted. Not a problem there. Now I don’t like my ice cream soupy so I have to ALWAYS tell them not to mix it too much by saying, «That’s enough!» Well I guess he didn’t hear me because my ice cream was soupy. Then he didn’t bother to ask if I was eating it now or taking it to go, which I wanted to take to-go. Scooped it in the cup, with the ice cream just dripping all over the side. I had to ask for a bigger cup to put my ice cream in. It’s the little things that makes for great customer service, and this cold stone location with this particular employee just wasn’t A+.

Today I walked into Cold Stone wanting ice cream and I did! But on top of that, I received fast and friendly service from Juan or Goan?! He was friendly and asked so nicely what we want to order. He helped my family of seven while others were being served only having like 4 people. He was crazy fast and he put such a big smile on my little one asking if he wanted sprinkles on top of his ice cream :) gave him and the rest of the cold stone crew a tip and thay thanked us with a «Tip tip hooray»!

This place is horrible. I love cold stone ice cream. BUT their customer service is horrible. The employees are very rude and very slow. They walk back and forth aimlessly. They seem to not care. They all look very unhappy. The lines are always out of control here. Also, they almost are always out of something. The last time I went I almost got out of line. I was in line for 20 minutes or more. The only reason I placed my order is because my 4 year old really wanted his gummies and ice cream. I avoid this place now.

This creamery sucks, asked for extra banana with my ice cream, when I started to eat it the banana was hard, still semi-green so it wasn’t sweet. I swear I’ll be constipated later from that green banana. Secondly the customers in front of me wanted waffle cone, they ran out, on a Saturday 5pm how can you make this happen in 80 degree weather … They also ordered a smoothie, they had no lids ran out of that too. The servers were friendly but come on Mr creamery Owner, have some pride and provide your customers and staff with all good condiments and accessories… Not returning … Buying ex-laxs now … Thanks for that

I love Coldstone, I really do, but of course like many others I am appalled at the customer service. One star for there being no one in the store at all when I went in, another star for simply being Coldstone because we know if this wasn’t a known trusted company… SMH. Tell me why it took homeboy 5 mins to come from the back(guess he was the only one there) – no wait, FIRSTOFALL, there was a sign on the door saying they were out of 2 or 3 flavors. I go inside and they are actually out of about half the flavors they have there, including the Sweet Cream that I was originally going to get. Nice. Just great *rolling eyes*– and when homeboy came out he barely greeted me in friendly manner that I’m used to at some Coldstones. So I end up getting a Mint signature ice cream; I will say that he seemed to give me a pretty generous amount for my Love It size. But still he was way too disinterested in being there or serving me. The real little issue was I paid with gift card which had a higher balance than the total sale, and he proceeded to almost throw away the card after transaction. Like wtf, dude? Then went I start to motion and say something he goes«Oh, you have a balance of ____left» and just gave it back to me and pretty much walked away straight to the back. No real apology for being so lazy and incompetent, and no friendly thank you for my patronage. Clearly he’s a young teen or college student; THISISTHEPROBLEMWITHMOSTPEOPLE in So-Cal they think their looks will be the only thing to get them by(Yes homeboy was cute, that Justin Bieber type cuteness, only thicker and yes more appealing lmao) and they really think having a stuck-up arrogant vibe is going to fly with everyone. I may not be from LA but I’m here to tell you that you need to get over yourself. Speaking of which, it’s so sh*tty that I never could get a call back from Coldstone when I wanted to work there yet they have these poor-skilled bratty spoiled just-there-for-looks clowns working their locations. It’s REALLY sad and disrespectful actually. I know I would have been a much better candidate than most these fools. Sounds like this location needs a serious make over and hope they get it soon. Downey is too nice of a place to have a weak, pathetic, undeserving location like this here.

Ok, so the ONLY reason I am not giving this Coldstone ONE star instead of two is because the flavor combinations are still delicious and endless, BUT… the customer service here absolutely SUCKS! SUUUUUUUCKS!!! I’ve been here a couple of times because it is the closest one to my place, but they could stand to be more courteous. There is a girl, don’t know her name, but she is slim and has long brown hair, and just has a stink face every time. I hate getting her as my «server»! .grrr… AND then she was an even bigger bitch when we didn’t tip her. PFFT! Well, here’s your TIP, chick: If you hate people, don’t work in CUSTOMERSERVICE! DUMBASS! :-/

Dear«COLD“stone in Downey, There is nothing cold about anything in this store. When you walk in, it’s hotter than it is outside! When you go to order all you see is the ice cream that looks very little like ice cream but more like many piles of soupy messes. The stone itself even has frost on it because it’s too hot in there. The owner of the place is clearly trying to cut the cost on the energy bill. Please invest in freezers that freeze and air conditioning for not only the customers but your employees. No one wants to walk into a hot store to buy over priced soup on a hot day. Step it up!

I love coldstone ice cream but I am disappointed at the customer service. My husband and I went last weekend and it was the worst experience we have had so far. The glass was filthy. It looked like every customer had to leave their hand print as they walk in because the entire glass not just the door was dirty. As we walked in we felt like we were at Hot Topic. It was like someone covered a microphone and was yelling into it. There were families with their children there and the families looked uncomfortable. The employees were loud. One guy kept banging the metal ice cream scoops together as if trying to do a trick or something, not having any courtesy for the customers. We were able to be helped by a blonde girl and she was RUDE. Once our ice cream was made she left it on the counter where we noticed it looked sticky and handprints everywhere. The floor looked like people spilled ice cream for a week and never mopped(disgusting). Once we paid, the girl never thanked us and threw the pen on the counter for us to sign and threw our card back on the counter after swiping. Did not thank us for coming. I wish there were more locations where I can go because I love coldstone but I am considering on creating the same ice cream mixes at home, to avoid the bad experiences. Although I do suggest the Cerritos location, the are much better at the service.

Came here at the worst time possible, closing time. Although it’s prime time summertime, this particular coldstone gave me a bad experience. I will not come back tot his particular coldstone for ice cream. The employees are rude, slow, and not fully there. I repeated what toppings I wanted on my ice cream 4 times, and she still managed to screw it up. I said give me hot fudge instead of caramel syrup, and sure enough she puts caramel syrup. I felt bad for everybody standing in line behind me that I just said screw it give me the damn ice cream. Not that I don’t like caramel, just was not in the mood for it at the time.

We came here the other night because my niece received a gift card for her birthday. Who can turn down a lil 4 year old? Being a Friday night I knew that the place would be busy and it was. There was a sign posted on the door with a list of items that were out of stock, check my tips… you won’t be disappointed! I guess education isn’t a requirement to work here. The line was long and so very slow. The employees seemed to be walking around aimlessly not knowing what to do and sometimes just standing around talking to each other. Seriously? Finally, it was our turn and we got two kids cups of a single flavor and one mix-in. It came out to five bucks and some change. A bit expensive for some kids sized ice cream. Granted the ice cream is pretty tasty despite the price. I used to come here quite often and even signed up for their emails. They do have some BOGO offers usually once every month or so and even on your birthday. So if Cold Stone is your thing be sure to sign up. I think I will just stick to froyo when I have a craving.
