Went in there today because hubby bought a Craftsman drill pack back in November. It was a good deal and decided to have this unit for backup. Good deal? NOPE! Opened the item up yesterday and the battery would not charge. Went into the store today(no I did not have receipt… But looked up hubby’s info on computer showing the item purchased). Barb, the cashier, said there was nothing they could do and batteries aren’t covered by Craftsman policy. Clearly looking at this battery charger it had never been used. Packaging at home. Terrible customer service and craftsman does not stand by their product. You intend on buying any mechanical item from Sears? Open it up and make sure it will work… Even if you are using the item as back up down the road and before you throw away the receipt! Lost a customer for life and will been contacting craftsman of their non functioning products they sell at great prices!

We bought our dual stage snowblower from this store and couldn’t be happier with the quality and the knowledgable staff. New management and service is just what this store needed. We will get all our appliances and hardware needs from here in the future.

I was looking for one thing here: a garage door remote. Normally I might go to Home Depot, but I was already on Ogden and it just seemed easier. I walked in and there were about six guys just standing around; the first one to spot me asked right away what I was looking for. I told him, and he asked the brand of the garage door opener, then led me right to my two options, all the while saying that he didn’t really know why the remotes are so expensive. He was friendly and chatty. I looked at the choices, took the less expensive one, and was checked out in about 30 seconds. I was not offered a bag, but I didn’t really need one, so that’s ok. The cashier was also friendly and asked about my day. I can’t speak too much to the actual contents of the store, since I didn’t really have time to look around. It seems like a fairly standard hardware store, albeit one that focuses on Sears brands. I will say that the guys who helped me were quite pleasant and helpful, and I got what I needed quickly. It may have cost a bit less at Home Depot, but I probably would’ve spent more time looking for it. So if it’s service you want, you may be better off here; I certainly had a fast and pleasant experience.

Went in for maintenance on my lawn mower and was not impressed. Made an appointment online which quoted me $ 99 but the store said $ 50 for diagnostic, not including repairs. Then offered a loaner which they did not have and when I called back for the loaner they told me they do not give out loaners. So not impressed.

I was a bit surprised by two of the reviews. I drop in once a month or so for paint or switches or odds and ends. It’s handy, and I have found the staff helpful. I do any big hardware shopping at the major stores because they are often cheaper, but I still use this one because it is handy and the staff have time to advise me.
