Korwitts Chiropractic

I’ve been a patient at this clinic for about a year now, going in for treatment of acute issues. The staff is incredibly helpful, very knowledgeable, and always willing to answer questions. Dr. K is top notch when it comes to diagnosing and treating. I recently went in with terrible pain in my knee that was preventing me from walking down stairs without pausing and got relief after one adjustment. I was also fitted for orthotics to address the cause of that knee pain and haven’t had any issues with my knee since then (definitely worth the investment!).
The office offers old school hands on care with updated technology as well. I was recently treated with the MLS laser and aside from being a very cool piece of equipment, the effects are immediate. After two minutes of treatment on a sore area that had been bothering me for a week, the pain was gone and has not come back.

I came to Korwitts this summer with terrible back pain. I was very nervous to see a chiropractor, but the staff immediately put me at ease. Everyone I came in contact with was friendly, professional, and truly cared about my well-​being. In a couple of weeks I was feeling back to normal again with help from Dr. Dan and Andreas. I am so grateful for Korwitts for getting me back to my normal self, I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends!

My first impression was very good, but in the process of receiving extended treatment, it had changed.
I went in with constant neck and shoulder pain. I was told to come in weekly for therapy and adjustments.
(In hidesight, it was because insurance would cover a number of treatments, and they were going to make sure they maximized that policy.)
Everyone was friendly, at first, and I felt the therapy was beneficial to a point. The adjustments really didn’t do much for me.
On occassion, I went in with a migraine, and they suggested I try massage or accupuncture.
Once I tried a massage to alleviate the pain. Not much help. Another time, I tried accupuncture– also not much help.
During the accupuncture, the needles were supposed to be twisted after 10 minutes, and remain for an additional 10 minutes. But the assistant came in after the first 10 minutes and just removed the needles. So my session was only half what it was supposed to be.
That same assistant would also administer muscular massage after each adjustment, with a hand-​held massager. Each time, I would tell her that my pain was in the shoulders, but she would focus on a fatty bump that I had on my back– thinking it was muscular.
I tried their expensive, fancy pillow– but that didn’t help.
After 3 months of regular appts., I stopped going. I was feeling slightly better, but was a disappointed that I hadn’t had a major change in all that time.
Two months later, I went in for a «maintenance» adjustment, but was told that since «it had been more than 3 months» insurance wouldn’t cover it and that I could not receive treatment unless I paid for it out of pocket. At this point, they were no longer friendly, so I haven’t been back.

Dr. Korwitts and his staff at Korwitts Chiropractic Center in Downers Grove are absolutely wonderful. In the past 3 months Dr. Korwitts and his team have helped me with my lower back pain to the point where I am feeling fantastic. I love coming here and everyone is so knowledgeable and truly care about how you are feeling. All my questions and concerns get answered. I will recommended anyone I meet to visit Dr. K!
