Good cheesesteak not alot of meat on it thoguh, and pricey, may try some other things on the menu. I do want to add there were(2) guys working behind the counter the day I was there, one guy very nice the other seemed like a jerk to most of the cuomters that walked in, however when his wife/girlfirend came in and there were 4 – 5 people in line ahead of her he shouts out to her what she and the kids wanted, starts to prepare her food nevermind the people in line and the 5 people waiting for their orders. Owners of this establishment may want to have a chat with this guy, I understand taking care of family but my god dont be so obvious about it. That is all

Favorite restaurant in DG! Chicken cheesesteak is the absolute best — I love getting it in the whole wheat wrap. My only suggestion is to have different sides options. Don’t get me wrong, the fries are delicious, but if you could sub a nice side salad or soup that would be great.

My wife worked in Jersey just outside of Philly for 4 years so I have tried a lot of cheese steaks and bar none the ones from Mojo’s are the best I have ever eaten. My wife works in Chicago about one week a month and since I have found this place we eat here every time we are in town. I have only ever had the cheese steak and fries but the other sandwiches look delicious as well. I can not recommend this place enough.

Yum! Been many cheesesteak places(most in Philly) and this is the best. Thought trying something new off the menu, but can’t say no to their cheesesteaks! Tons of flavor, bun if fresh and fries are outstanding. It is piping hot when you get it.

From the whiz to the wit, the cheesesteaks are very authentic, tasty, and above all not too greasy. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food per order.

Very good and very expensive. $ 13.26 for a sandwich fries and drink. The bread was excellent and meat very tasty. Very fresh and the dining area clean. I love the thin fries, nice and crispy fried to perfection.

I can’t begin to describe how much I enjoy getting a meal from Mojo’s. I walk in and the guy behind the counter already knows my sandwich and basically has me rang up by the time I’m at the register. Talk about service!(I should start trying more from there) We get this for lunch at the office too, so I have sampled quite a few of their entrees and they are all good. Pro-Tip: Get the chill and some whiz and fries and you can make some pretty tasty chili-cheese fries. My Sandwich of Choice: The Momo(Tuna Salad Sandwich)

We stopped in using a Groupon to try something new. The sandwiches were awesome, my wife got buffalo chicken and I enjoyed mojo’s cheesesteak hoagie. Excellent for sure plus the Jersey fries I would recommend even for just a snack. Thumbs up all the way

Usually I’m not a big fan of cheesesteak but this place was surprisingly good. The Buffalo cheesesteak was delicious and their fries are on the crispy side which I like. Bring your kids they get a free frisbee oh and the best part is they have bendy straws! 10⁄10 would go again for the bendy straws

So disappointed to write this review, but the food was just not good. Maybe we came on an «off day», but our food was very sub par. Fries were inedible and crunchy. Cheesesteak onions were not grilled and very crunchy. Drenched my cheesesteak in cheese wiz(I couldn’t even eat it) My husband’s cheesesteak with provolone was edible, but very bland. I’m super bummed. I had high hopes for this place due to the awesome reviews on here. Also, my husband’s fountain Coke was watery and I thought had a taste of mildew(possibly from the lines in the drink machine needing to be cleaned.) Sorry Mojo’s. It just wasn’t a good experience.

Super delicious sandwiches were delivered to the Tivoli for the Neko Case show and were enjoyed by all! Even saw Neko and her female band mates eating them! Not just for crew, but hungry singers too!

This is the real deal — Philly cheesesteaks on Amoroso bread(Philly bread company) — absolutely delicious! With a picture of Boathouse Row adorning the much crowded restaurant, this Philadelphian felt right at home. I am sure we will be eating here regularly.

After seeing great reviews and hearing people rave about this pace, I thought I’d give it a try. The people who work there are super friendly and the food comes out in a timely manner but that’s about it. The meat was dry and I have a personal preference for crusty bread vs the hoagie roll they serve on. This is a good place for a quick fix but definitely not my fav.

Nom nom nom! The sandwiches and fries are pretty legit! The bread is good and the meat is tender! The fries were crunchy and used the right amount of salt. The restaurant is roomy. The people that run the place are friendly. It’s not a bad place to grab a bite.

The cheesesteaks and crab fries, really good! One of the best I’ve had outside of Philly! The Hoagie could use a little lettuce otherwise brings the cool to the heat of the beef. The cold sandwiches… not so much. I’ve had the tommy boy and it’s nothing special. The subs are kind of pricey but there are half portions which are more reasonable. The service is pretty good, I waited around 5 minutes for my cheese steak during the weekday lunch hour. Parking is free in a lot, you gotta love the burbs!

Awesome. My husband, son and I went here today after buying a Groupon deal and we were not disappointed. We ordered the cheesesteaks. Full for the hubby and ½ for my other son and I and a kid’s meal ham sub in which my 5 year old loved but couldn’t finish because it was so big. Everything was very good. One of the guys in the back gave us a sample of the corn and shrimp chowder and I just had to have that as well. We came from Matteson all the way to here and back. The food reheated well.

We really enjoyed our dinner. My husband & I split the Mojo’s cheesesteak. We weren’t starving so it was enough for us but my husband said he could have eaten a whole one. The guy taking our order asked if we were sharing so he was nice enough to split it for us before he brought it out. We’re not cheesesteak experts, but we really enjoyed it — including the cheese wiz. The sandwich had a good meat-to-bun ratio & you could tell it was fresh. We’ll definitely be back. 5 stars for great customer service & food.

~ I’m from Philadelphia. Back in the 1950s my family had a hoagie/cheese steak restaurant in Philly. That’s where I learned to cook short order. My son from Chicago told me about Mojo’s steak sandwiches and hoagies. Authentic Philadelphia. ABSOLUTELY! The KEY to a good steak sandwich and hoagie is a Hearth Baked roll from Amoroso’s Philly bakery. Family owned and operated. We always bought Amoroso’s rolls daily direct from the baker each morning before opening the restaurant. Mojo’s has brought Amoroso’s rolls direct from the baker in Philly. It is the roll that supports the sandwich and doesn’t get soggy or fall apart when the meats and cheeses are added to the sandwich. We drove out to Mojo’s on December 30th and sampled their board of fare. I was quite impressed. Here in the Midwest most, almost all, restaurants boast of a «Philly steak sandwich» but they are far from it. The Amoroso’s rolls brought in directly from Philadelphia by Mojo’s is the KEY. I enjoyed this Mojo’s steak and also their home-cut fries. We also cut and made our own fries in-house. I expect to make the trip to Mojo’s a number of times in the upcoming year now. A good steak and hoagie! Real Philadelphia!

Mojo’s has the best cheesesteak in the midwest. I can only say midwest, because I haven’t had one on the east coast. But it seems legit. I had a cheesesteak at Monty’s in Ravenswood once, and I wasn’t as crazy about theirs as Mojo’s. The Original Cheesesteak(with cheese whiz) is the best! I don’t really like onions, but I left them on the sandwich. They were diced so fine I barely noticed they were there, but the onions gave the sandwich a good flavor without being overpowering. The bread is fantastic too. I did have the Crab Fries, which aren’t mindblowing, but they’re still pretty good. My husband had the Buffalo Fries which were loaded with blue cheese. I was absolutely stuffed when I left here, so next time I’d get the half sandwich for sure. Mojo’s is a clean and casual place. It’s great for lunch and, in our case, a good stop while running errands on the weekend.

Full disclosure: haven’t been to Philly yet(Pat’s and Tony Luke’s Roast Pork are on the bucket list), but I’ve had cheesesteak sandwiches various places several times. I was excited to hear that Mojo’s offered the real thing in the Chicago area. I got a Mojo cheesesteak with onions and white american(I know, I know, next time Wiz) and fries. I was very impressed with the sandwich. The ratio of meat to onions to cheese was ideal, and the roll’s texture complemented the topping very well. The fries were hand cut and double fried. Perfection. They really could not have been prepared any better. You aren’t going to save a lot of money by eating here every night, but you’ll leave extremely satisfied. Nice work, Mojo’s.

Had the Philly Cheese Steak with provolone and mushrooms. It was good, not great, but holy cow, $ 10.80 for the sandwich? It did come with fries, which I would give a 5 star rating, they were awesome, but the sandwich was good but really is only worth about $ 5. A lot of the reviews say how big the sandwich is, and yeah it is long, but very thin, and not a lot of meat. I am a Meat-a-tarian, and I just felt like the old Wendy’s commercials. Where’s the beef? I might go back, but since I am in Philly proper a couple times a year for work, I’ll save my $$ for the real deal.

Yep! Reviews are absolutely correct. A place well worth visiting. No disappointment or questions about how great this place is. Service may be a bit on the surly side but they earned it with quality and value. There is no reason why you would hear about this place, or drive by it,…and not stop. Great philly and great chili. Not many quick serve sammiches that can claim their«steak» to glory quite like mojo’s. If it takes you 20 extra minutes to visit this glory… in a Nike sort of way, just do it! What else is to say but… go!

The Cheesesteak Hoagie was larger than I expected. You could split a meal with a friend if you wanted. It’s just gonna look weird if you both drink from the same cup. Anyways… The bread was soft, lettuce and tomato fresh, and the sandwich was made just how I asked. Easy mayo. Easy onions. Just the right amount. French fries looked like fresh cut skinny fries. Cooked and salted just right. Plenty of seating with prompt and polite service. I can’t wait to come back(hungry) again.

I cannot attest to the authenticity of their Cheesesteak, but I can attest to the fact that their sandwiches are outstanding! I had a roast beef hoagie with regular(non whiz) cheese and an order of fries. The sandwiches are gigantic, and I should have followed my husband’s example and ordered a half sandwich.(He had fries and a half chicken Philly.) The bread, lettuce, and seasoning dressing made up the majority of the sandwich, with meat and cheese almost an afterthought. The bread was wonderfully soft and delicious, but I found myself picking off a good deal of the lettuce. The fries were delicious, and there were plenty of bottles with both white and malt vinegar to top them off with!(Seriously, you need to try these fries with vinegar; a fabulously addicting combination!) This was my first ever Hoagie encounter, although next time, I’m going for a Philly Steak, cheese whiz style and some crab fries!

For the longest time I thought this place was closed down because it always looked dark from the street. Then I came on Unilocal one day and saw that there were several recent reviews, so figured I would stop by one day after work. Location: Ideal because it is near the I 355 Maple exit and it is in a strip mall with plenty of parking Ambiance: Typical quick serve atmosphere with a good amount of seating for different sized groups. Menu: some yummy sounding sandwiches and fries. I ended up getting the half philly cheese steak with crab fries. I got onions, hot peppers(they were spicy and fresh) and provolone cheese on it. I rarely get philly cheese steaks from anywhere, but I was impressed enough with this sandwich that I would get another one in the future. I wasn’t a fan of the crab fries unfortunately. I wanted to like them because they were highly suggested by other reviewers, but they were too salty for me. I would come back and try the plain fries with a philly or another sandwich in the future. Value: My meal was about $ 8, and I thought this was very reasonable for the amount of food and excellent taste of the sandwich.

This place is yummy! I have been trying to get over here for awhile, but they always close early! If you make it in time, it’s definitely worth it! My only problem is that there are so many choices that all sound great! I went with the classic cheese steak with whiz. The bread was soft on the inside, but had a nice crust on the outside to hold the goodness of meat and cheese so you didn’t end up with a grease mess all over your shirt. The fries were fresh and thin cut. They also had a glass case with Green River. The nostalgia alone made me a fan.

I’m a big fan of Elliot from Chicago’s Best, so if he recommends a place, I put it on my radar to visit. When I watched the Mojo’s episode, I immediately Unilocaled them to see if they were still open. Womp womp– they weren’t, but I knew I’d have to make a visit even if it meant going out of my way. I’ve been a few times already and I’m pretty obsessed with all of their sandwiches. I was the girl in college that ate at Subway every day for lunch, so I’ve always had a thing for meat, cheese and bread – although I’ve upgraded my standards a bit since then. Mojo’s does more than just stuff a loaf of bread. They properly season and garnish each sandwich into a perfectly wrapped up package. In order of least favorite to favorite: –Crab fries. They just taste like crab seasoning. Pretty darn good, but I wasn’t addicted like some other reviewers. Next time I’d like to try some of their other fry offerings –Buffalo chicken cheese steak-holy cow. this is REALLY good but not my favorite. If Mojo’s didn’t have regular cheesesteaks, this would be my go-to. –Chicken cheesesteak– super delicious, but a notch below… –Regular cheesesteak with wiz– heaven on a bun. It all melts and congeals together and goes straight to your thighs Now you can probably tell I didn’t dislike anything. In fact, everything I tried was really tasty. The sandwiches are served piping hot and I recommend taking a few minutes to stare at your sandwich and bask in its glory so you don’t burn your mouth.

Never tried a cheesesteak on my one and only visit to the east coast, but I’m happy to report I’m a fan. Not brave enough to try the wiz cheese just yet, but I have enjoyed my visits so far. I will be looking forward to their debut in May on Chicago’s Best TV, Regional Bites. Warm sandwiches seem the way to go and their breakfast sandwich on the Amoroso’s Rolls are great.

Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak. That’s all. I’ve had this place on my radar for a while, but I’m never in the immediate area. However, today I decided I’d go a touch outside of Naperthrill to get my food on. And I’m damn glad I did. There’s been a few items I’ve been eager to try, but today it was the Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak. Apparently I still haven’t overcome my buffalo chicken addiction and I may as well keep it going because #delicious. I entered Mojo’s and glanced at the menu board briefly, but I knew what I wanted before I set foot inside. I chose to do a half BCCS(comes with fries) since I had just eaten two hours prior. Don’t judge. I paid, filled my drink cup, and took a seat at the counter along the windows. A few minutes later, my food was brought out and I immediately began to salivate. The fries were piping hot, lightly salted, and contained potato skin(which I enjoy on occasion). They were the thin-cut variety but very tasty and clearly hand cut, as they advertise. My sandwich was the sexy star of the show, no doubt. The application of buffalo sauce-to-chicken ratio was spot on, the shaved chicken breast and onions were flavorful, the provolone cheese was expertly melted, and there was the right amount of bleu cheese dressing. The baked amoroso roll it came on was slightly toasted yet the inside was pillow-y soft. Absolute perfection all around; I couldn’t have asked for a better cheese steak. The guy who took my order and brought my food out was extremely nice and friendly. The establishment, while fairly empty for a mid-Saturday afternoon, was clean and inviting. The only reason I knocked off a star is because they aren’t open on Sundays and my inner fat kid is screaming for another one RIGHTFREAKINGNOW.
