This update addresses Dr. Albert’s reply to my review. Yes it has been a few years since I received care from Dr. Albert — but I remember it quite vividly and was moved to write the review after experiencing care from another dentist. Clarification — I did not intend to imply that Dr. Albert recommended *ALL* my silver filings be replaced with ceramic — but he certainly suggested that some of them be replaced. Turns out a 2nd opinion from another(very experienced) dentist has confirmed that my silver fillings are all fine… no need for replacement. 5+ years later they are still going strong. About the second visit… The vibe was definitely a bit tense when I questioned him why I needed«deep cleanings»(or what he calls root planing/scaling). Whatever you want to call it – it involves anesthetizing each quadrant of the mouth and cleaning under the gum line on multiple separate visits. It sounded unnecessary and a bit extreme to me. Dr Albert was quite insistent that I needed this and that he had an obligation to provide a standard of care etc. He advised me to consider finding another dentist if I wouldn’t follow his recommendations. In retrospect — that was the best advice I got from him regarding my teeth… and for that I am grateful — as that recommendation saved me a lot of inconvenience, time in the dentist chair and $$$. That said — I know I would get a 1-star rating if Dr. Albert could review me as a patient: D On the advice of my current dentist I increased the flossing frequency and things are good. No crowns; no filling replacements; no planing/scaling — just regular flossing and cleanings. All the best to Esplanade Dental Care. It doesn’t meet my needs — but it might meet yours.

I’m disappointed I can’t give more stars because my experience with staff was fine initially. However, they sent the incorrect billing code to my insurance company and quoted me the wrong price. Now, six months later I owe almost $ 200 more out of pocket. A mistake that I now have to pay for. This poor experience ensures that I’ll never return and that I’ll have to visit a dental office where the staff can correctly do something as easy as simple data entry. 5÷2÷2015 **Filing a complaint against these frauds. Do not go here. The woman in billing is a witch(I’d like to replace the ‘w’ with a ‘b’) and so unprofessional. I have to pay for their mistake. They aren’t taking accountability for their wrong doing. DONOTGOHERE!

Not only was my teeth cleaning not up to par(my 2 bottom teeth looked like they weren’t even cleaned!), but, I had to go back 3 different times to get a permanent crown; the first time the crown didn’t fit right; 2nd time same thing; 3rd time was the charm, but, the crown still doesn’t feel«right» when I eat certain foods. Staff seems knowledgeable as does the dentist, but I probably will never go back. And, I found out that my co-worker has to go back for the 3rd time for her permanent crown too! Strange coincidence, isn’t it? Either the impressions aren’t right, or the company who makes the crowns doesn’t know what they are doing.

As a future dentist, I have not seen many dentists being very honest. Dr. Albert has been very good with his patients and gives them the best care. Love the atmosphere in his office. His staff is amazing and always puts a smile on every face.
