Christopher’s Third Street Grille

The wife and I were looking for a nice place for dinner in the Dover area and based on the positive Unilocal reviews we decided to try Christopher’s. After a great dinner I would say we made a fantastic choice and have happily added a new spot to our restaurant rotation. I had the BBQ Baby Back Ribs and my wife had the Mixed Seafood Grill both of which came with the potato of our choice and the veggie of the day which happened to be asparagus. Without question both of our meals were FANTASTIC! The ribs were tender with just the right combination of crispy bits and sweet smokey sauce and my wife’s seafood was cooked perfectly. My french fries were some of the best I have had in a long time and my wife’s baked potato was done perfectly. The asparagus was even cooked to just the right tenderness and tasted wonderful. The servers were attentive and helpful and very friendly. Overall this was a wonderful dining experience and we will be back again without a doubt.

Had never heard of Christopher’s before. Checked out the website and it seemed on for a special birthday dinner for my wife. From entering to leaving, this was a great experience. Our appetizer was the baked Artichoke Hearts. Tasty, tender, excellent. My wife’s dinner was the Chicken Borsoin. Tender, full of flavor. Even the Risotto was perfect. My dinner was the Lamb Chops. You have got to try this. Tender Chops and There we’re 8 of them on my plate. The wait staff was friendly, professional. You must try Christopher’s

Tonight’s dinner was nothing short of AMAZING ! Filet Mignon — Shrimp Scampi — outstanding. The hostess, bartender and our server Jamie were all top notch! Thanks for affording us such a special night!

Love, Love, Love. It’s such a relief to have found a place that has consistently exceptional food and service. It’s good for date night, but also with the kids. So far my favorite dish there has been the chicken piccata. Soup, bread, ribs, seafood, burgers, dessert, it’s all good.

Went for lunch today with a party of 13 (made reservations 2 weeks in advance). Was not overly impressed. Food was okay for the most part. Nothing outstanding that we had. Service was not good. Would like to go back and have apps or lunch at the bar to see how that is. Not from the area so I don’t know how it compares.

Just left Christopher’s and we will be back! The grilled chicken oregano was so tasty and even the side of green beans with hint of lemon juice was a treat. Casual atmosphere, very reasonably priced and extensive drink specials make it a repeat must.

What a GREAT find in small town Dover! Small, intimate, modern bistro with fantastic food. Took my sister there for dinner and we loved it. I had the ribeye — perfectly cooked with that fresh-​grilled flavor, sister had the mixed seafood grill with grilled shrimp, scallops (big), and salmon. Finished with a crème brûlée also done to perfection. Went on a Thursday night, about a 20 minute wait which was totally acceptable. Had a drink at the small bar. It gets very loud when its full but the food is amazing and I wouldn’t hesitate to return on my next visit!

I’m in the area for work and heard great things about Christopher’s. I definitely wasn’t disappointed. I saw the Hot Toddy Chicken on special. It was great — excellent balance of flavor (I was worried it would be too sweet, but the melted cheddar offset the apple and brandy cream sauce). It was served with haricot verts and roasted garlic mashed potatoes.
Their draft beer selection is great and the atmosphere is adorable. Pretty noisy since it was busy but I have no complaints since I was by myself and not trying to be heard in a conversation.
Long story short — I’ll definitely be back.

Excellent food, friendly service, large menu and choices and reasonable. This place is pretty and a real find! Others have commented on the warm bread and strawberry butter as a start.
Waited about 20 minutes last Friday night — all dishes from haddock to steak tips and Cobb salad were all delicious!
Strongly recommend that you check it out!

What a wonderful surprise when we discovered this place yesterday. We arrived about 445pm and it was pretty quiet. We got a seat at the bar and started off with one of the flat breads. It was very tasty and a large pizza considering it was an appetizer. The service was fantastic. Very fun and energetic staff. Around 5:30 pm the place was full with a wait. I had the swordfish which was on special with the garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was cooked just right! My girlfriend got the chicken boursin and she enjoyed it very much. The menu is awesome and we cannot wait to go back.

This is a fun place to go with friends and family or any occasion. They have dishes at a wide range of prices — all delicious. The staff is great and promptly take your order and provide your check when done. Clean, relaxed atmosphere in a great location with easy parking across the street!

This place was recommended to us when we moved into town. We’ve been several times now, and haven’t been disappointed yet. The only negative I would say is that it is small and get quite busy/​cramped. The Mac n Cheese and French Connection are awesome!

The food was OK. nothing special. My chicken dish seemed overly heavy when the description made it sound lighter. My husband ordered the lobster mac n’ cheese and the lobster portion was very small — I would not recommend this dish. The staff is very friendly and the drinks were good.

Christopher’s is definitely my favorite restaurant in Dover. I have been many times and I have never been disappointed with the food or the service! They have a great variety of menu items from burgers and sandwiches to fuller entrées, my favorites include the salmon and the chicken oregano. Their freshly baked bread with strawberry butter is also amazing and comes with every dinner! It is a great price for the portions and service you will receive.

Great meal, ambiance is casual. The menu has a lot of variety and has some creativity. I like the beer selection! I had the ribeye and it was delicious. BTw, service was super.

I tried this place out with a friend after walking around downtown looking for a quiet place for conversation. We found it with this place. When we first walked in, we had to wait a bit for anyone to notice us, but that was fine. They were a bit busy. When someone did take notice, she was very friendly and apologetic. While she cleaned off a table, another person came up to see if we had been helped. Again, both were friendly. I had the Johnny Greek flatbread. It was only $ 10 and was double the size I expected it to be. It wasn’t the best, but it was pretty standard. I’d like to see them cut the portion size in half and make the dish a little more appealing with the ingredients. The crust was great, crunchy and thin. My water never went empty, even after we paid and were in deep conversation, our waitress came back and asked if we were sure about not wanting a refill. I especially appreciated this. I have witnessed too many times that once the check comes and the bill is paid, it doesn’t matter how enthralled in the conversation you are or how empty your drink is, you are already gone in their mind. The casual, take your time vibe have the European vibe where meal times are to be slow and enjoyed by the company.

Appetizers were terrific! I got the calamari RI style which came with spicy jalapeño, cherry and banana peppers on it. The Calamari was crunchy and delicious! Scott got the Bruschetta! He loved the Bruschetta, the bread was toasted but soft and it «didn’t cut his mouth up»! Tomatoes and the balsamic drizzle were terrific!
I had the Cobb salad and it was very good, the chicken was a little bit dry but for a salad it was very delicious. Scott had the Baby back ribs and they were terrific! Says both of us!
The service was also good, we sat at the bar and waitress was very attentive and polite!
If we lived here this would be regular spot for us!
