The food is always decent at the Pub. The Irish Food is very good and stuff you can’t get at most places. The issue with the Pub is with the service. They are unorganized, not always on the friendly side, and seem to always be short staffed. I used to come here a few times and month for a long while. Been back recently and it’s now worse then before. 4.5 starts on the food and 1 star on the service.

Having come here several times for lunch, I’m often trying to find a ways to defend this place. As a former server and trainer, the staff needs training. The food is great, but the service is sub par. Not sure if I’ll continue coming to this establishment. There is an obvious lack of caring for the customers needs, and that is disappointing. This place has a lot of potential and is in a great location. If the staff refocused their attention to smiling, up selling, checking on the customer from time to time, give them silverware(and not let the customer get it themselves), and simply introduced themselves, this would help out a lot. Hoping to see change.

The first time I came here was on a Saturday night for my Bachelorette party in 2013. We had reservations and there was about 10 or more of us. The drinks were great and those who ordered food said it was good. We sat upstairs and listed to the DJ Jason sparks who was great. The second time I came was with my husband in 2015 around 4pm on a Saturday. It was DEAD! We sat at the bar downstairs. The bartender hardly knew anything about alcohol or mixed drinks. We both ordered food which was pretty good for bar food, although my husband wasn’t that impressed. It was a completely different experience.

Damn good Shrpherd’s Pie. Almost missed it — Unilocal has the wrong address so map feature guided us to the wrong place. Address is 6682 East Broad Street

One of my favorite places to go here in Douglasville, they have a nic location and a killer outside upper patio which I must warn you they are kinda specific about«reservation» up there. But the food is great I had a blue cheese burger cooked medium and it was tinder and tasted great! And trust me on this… THEYHAVEEXCELLENTMACANDCHEESEHAHA. so give it a shot see what you think :)

I work locally in downtown Douglasville. Over the last several months my office has probably ordered To-Go food here at least 2 – 3 times a week because it is convenient and it isn’t spicy. Today I went in to pick up my food and when I walked into the restaurant there were probably 5 employees standing around one person rolling silverware, all of them made eye contact no one spoke. When the«bartender» walked up to give me my food/check there was no «Hello» she sat the check in front of me rather abruptly and walked away and never spoke a word until she got to the other side of the bar at which time she asked, «Separate?» I wasn’t even sure she was actually talking to me except that there was only one other patron at the bar. She comes back and separates the checks still not making actual eye contact. She finally when I was leaving and it was time for me to leave the tip said«Thanks, enjoy your lunch.» This for me was too little too late. She is never very pleasant when we go in to pick up our food and always seems put out to have to do her job. There is a reason the bar is empty during lunch, when we dine in the service is equally unpleasant. There seems to be no regard for customer service whatsoever. It always baffles me when you go into a restaurant and there is no visible Manager on the floor, I have NEVER seen a Manager or much less had one come by and touch the table to be sure everything is up to par. It’s sad because their draught beer selection is fantastic and they have a pretty well stocked bar. It seems that ever since the day time bartender who I believe was named Jessica has been gone the day business has fallen off. It could be a great place, but with service like this it will never be.

Being Irish myself I hang my head in shame that this so called pub has the nerve to have Irish in its name. It also adds insult to injury with a menu that is about as Irish as hotdogs and hamburgers

I went with my husband and oldest son to the Irish Bred Pub. Parking is horrible especially during lunch hours. I got the fish and chips. I have to say it was ok. Nothing I would go out of the way to eat again. My son got the lamb sandwich which he liked. It was pricey for three people @ $ 50.00. I may go back but not with my younger kids.

As a British national who lives in America, it is always nice to be able to eat some traditional British food. While they may have some items on the menu that are not exactly British foods they have a excellent Shepherds Pies and Bangers & Mash. Sometimes the service can be a little so so but there is always a good atmosphere which makes up for that.

I want to like this place. It’s ideally located, they have a wonderful second story patio, and the dining room has great ambiance. The problem is the service and the food. To begin with, the food is nothing special. It overpriced for what it should be, and every time I’ve eaten there I’ve kicked myself afterwards for settling on dining there. They really need to re-vamp the menu. It’s quite telling that Gumbeaux’s, a restaurant a few doors down, has 2 and 3-hour waits every weekend, but you can always get a table at Irish Bred. Irish Bred is far better looking inside than Gumbeaux’s and it has the amazing patio, but still, it doesn’t do half the business. My second issue is with the staff. They just don’t have it together. My family dined on the patio on the first Friday night in May. There was live music outside, and the weather was great, but — no surprise– there was still seating available. We ordered drinks, an order of nachos and two kids meals. One hour later, the food still had not arrived. The server was a nice young lady, and we had asked several times by that point. Each time she assured us she was working on it. After the hour had passed, she finally told my husband that the kitchen hadn’t even begun making our food yet. I complained to the manager, who seemed surprised, and offered me a coupon for a free appetizer. We paid our bill on the drinks and left. The restaurant was busy, but it wasn’t packed, and I cannot figure out how they couldn’t put together two kid’s meals and an order of nachos. My best advice is to eat at Fabiano’s or Gumbeaux’s. You may have a wait, but the food and service is far superior.

Waited for one and half hours and still did not get my meal, I had 4 kids and the waitress said we are 4 place behind… So we waited another half and hour and finally the food. I ordered a cold sandwich. Really that should not have taken that long. I am very disappointed with this place. I don’t think I will ever come back again!

I have ate here several times and never been disappointed. Great service, wonderful seasonal beers, and a Shepard’s Pie to die for. One of my favorite places to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

OMG the Fishermans pie is to die for. Crystal, red, is the bomb. Tonight was Valentines so the menu was preset. I enjoyed it but the lobster bisque and gnocchi and braised chicken was salty. Strawberries and cream were good. The staff is some of the best and friendly. Will be back. Would love to have a brunch there.

Though we didn’t order anything particularly Irish — does a Reuben sandwich count? — we were drawn in by the bangers & mash, Gaelic boxty and shepherds pie listed on the menu. This is a lovely pub, with an authentic feel and great outdoor seating. The food is fine for bar-food, but certainly not five star dining.(Okay, I’ll give ‘em 3.4 stars!) My reuben — comes with a choice of side — was good. My husband’s roast lamb was okay. He said if it wasn’t for the gravy, it would be way too dry. And my mom, loved her chicken wings! She said they were cooked just right and were ‘nice and meaty.‘ Our bloody marys could’ve been jazzed up a bit — celery? olives? something?! — but they were reasonably spicy and fine.

I have been in Douglasville for 3 weeks and have eaten here 3 times. My first two times were amazing! Great food, Awesome drinks, and even better service. My third visit however… very very disappointing. I did visit on a Wednesday when there was an event on the square. I sat at the bar ordered a beer. Waited a few minutes then ordered my food. I ordered a burger without the garden but then asked if my onion could be sautéed. The bartender replied for an extra charge. I thought that was very weird they were gonna charge me to cook an onion that comes with a burger. I said never mind leave it off. After my order was placed I continued to drink my beer. I observed a very chaotic environment. The staff seemed to be over worked. After 35 minutes the bartender came over and apologized for the wait. He said the county throws this affair every Wednesday and they just couldn’t keep up. I thought if they throw it every week then you should be prepared. I am not keen on hearing excuses when my food takes this long. I just want to hear when my food will be out. I was never told food was taking this long when i ordered or even told anything after I ordered until 35 minutes into the night. When my burger arrived I was missing the onion rings that come with the out west burger. I asked about the onion ring and the response I got was it was only one onion ring. I said I would like it please and he retuned with ONE onion ring. At that point I was honestly over the meal. It took 45 minutes for a burger to come out and it came out wrong. As I ate my burger I was not given any silverware or napkins. The burger was good and juicy so it was messy. I kept having to reach over the bar and grab cocktail napkins to wipe my hands and mouth. Not once did the bartender take notice. I will admit I did leave a ZERO tip for the bartender. I understand its not his fault for a backed up kitchen, or unprepared management but he should have interacted with me during the experience to keep me informed of my food times. He could have brought me something to snack on during my wait to enjoy with my beer but he did none of that. He just continued to walk past. I ALWAYS pick local when I am in a new place and want something to eat. I could have walked out of my hotel and chose between 10 different restaurants but I chose to drive to downtown in hopes of enjoying a local eatery. I am here for another 2 weeks and am disappointed that this place will not be in my list of must eats.

I came here for a fraternal order event one night and was shocked this place even existed. Not sure if I would go back for the food alone, but the price of the drinks will make me a return customer. Also the service was excellent. Even with a packed house the servers did the best they could all with a smile. Yep, it;s A-OK with me.

Nice little pub in the center of downtown Douglasville. Great atmosphere and the service is just plain excellent(our server was Alexis — could not have been better!). The food is a mixture of «ok» and«great». I had the Blarney Burger with onion rings, both of which were great. Burger was cooked perfectly the way I wanted it and was hot, juicy and lean. My wife got the Cajun Chicken Wrap; which was«okay» at best, not much flavor at all. Will definitely be back for more!

This is a partial review, I was attending an event upstairs at the Irish Bred Pub but I was very impressed with the service and the workers that I had to make a note. Very attentive and positive servers, knowledgable and the service was very fast. I will have to return to tried the food downstairs and see if the service will be just as good then. Quality crew working here. — King B
