I stopped after driving from Florida and needed a place to rest my head. The rate was reasonable at $ 75.00 a night for a walk in. The room I was given was a 2 bed, non-smoking room. However I could tell that someone had either ignored this rule or someone near by was smoking as the scent of cigarette smoke was faint. The lobby was clean, the receptionist was nice, and apparently I was tired as I left my keys on the desk and wandered off in search of food. They were there when I came back. Good thing as I really didn’t feel like becoming a resident of the«great state of Alabama». I slept well enough, the shower had good flow and in the morning I availed myself of their breakfast bar. Powdered eggs, sausage and make your own waffles. Not a bad selection, but not the best I’ve ever had either. I missed the fruit and boiled eggs I’ve had at other la Quintas, but what can you do?

We lived in this hotel in 2001 for several months(at that time was a Comfort Suites). We came back to stay for the first time in 15 years, and were so disappointed. The tv had really bad sound and reception. We had to switch rooms because of bed bugs crawling on the bed. Staff was not too apologetic about it. We will find somewhere else to stay next time we visit Dothan.
