Oh sweet massage therapist Nancy: angel of mercy, purveyor of pain. Both good. I started my day with a tension headache that could knock your socks off. Around lunch I decided that the only solution after slugging back a small family of Excedrin was a nice massage. Oh yes. a nice massage. Based on the reviews, and the introductory special, $ 59 for 1HR full body massage($ 29 dollar special mentioned in other review is for reflexology session), I decided that Shiatsu Wellness was the place for me. I walked into a very unassuming shopping plaza, and was immediately impressed by the setup. Very modern, clean, relaxing. The staff was so nice! They lead me to my room, which was quiet with relaxing movement, gave me time to disrobe and lay down. Then Nancy came in for my massage. She asked me what intensity I would like and what was ailing me. I asked for medium and some focus on my shoulders & upper back. She got to work and man, this lady knew what she was doing. She was able to work my back out like nothing else. I like a deep massage, and she is strong! After a bit she asked me if the pressure was alright etc. Made you feel very comfortable to give feedback. I left feeling as loose as a goose, and with an overall feeling of well-being. Actually I have felt awesome the rest of the night, both physically and emotionally! This place was just what I needed. If you are a softer for massages: do not ask for medium, ask for light pressure! Even during medium there were a few pressure points that made my legs jump, but like I said, I like a deep massage. The staff here was so friendly, sweet and accommodating. I will absolutely return. Next time I want to try the reflexology! Minus one star: in order to get the 59 dollar price again you have to become a lifetime member(70 dollars, one shot). Kind of wish they didn’t have that stip. but depending on the reflexology session I may do it. The deals for members are pretty good… and I could spend my money on less enjoyable things(I’m looking at you, Mickey D’s breakfast sandwiches at 5am)
