Waited 45 minutes after I ordered to finally get my COLD eggs benedict… Restaurant was not busy at all. How hard is it to make eggs benedict… Chef get your act together! Server said he has been arguing with you to get me my food?! That you have been having problems in the kitchen and trying to solve it… Trump, I think you need a new Chef over here! I had to send the food back because it was cold. How can you send cold food to a customer. TERRIBLESERVICE!!! TERRIBLETERRIBLETERRIBLE Please think twice before sitting down to eat here, not worth it at all. Horrible. I am very disappointed.

We visit Trump National at Doral every year. Champions is a favorite for lunch. In fact, we eat lunch there almost every day that we’re in town. The menu offers lots of options including fish. We usually opt for a burger or mahi mahi. Four of us visit and we have never been disappointed in the food or the service. Since Trump revamped the resort, it’s even better! Excellent lunch choice!

Beware what you order… French onion soup was fantastic. The pappardelle pasta on the other hand was abysmal. It was inedible. It was supposed to have a creamy sauce and as you can see by the photo, it was watery tomato chunks with no cream and no flavor. Thoroughly disappointed, especially because grounds are stunning and the meal was a pretty penny($$$).

You’ll enjoy your meal at Champions Grill just as much as you’ll enjoy it at BLT Prime, but your wallet will enjoy it much more. To me the quality of the food as well as the attentiveness of the servers is excellent. The views if you’re near the windows are wonderful. Great place for a business meeting, and great place for a meal if you’re staying at the Trump National Doral. Been visiting since March 2015

Weak overall experience at best. Would not return. Service average at best, prices high for the quality and quantity of meals provided. Very small burger of very average quality, I can cook a much tastier burger frozen from Costco on my Weber grill at home. Craft beer brands misspelled on the menu(Matida) and the wrong beer was brought by the waitress once while poured into a glass not appropriate for the style. While I can understand at a local bar, a Trump property should offer best in class quality of food and service. Disappointing.

This place is located at the Trump National Doral… Service by Yenisley Jackey was very good… She did strive to please our needs. My burger was cooked to perfection the first time and not so perfect the second time… The bun could improve a notch! The house salad is ok. The melted tuna sandwich has a little to much mayo… Try to balance this more… The views, well this is the real treat… Overlooking the 1st and 18th hole… Magical. All in all, I will cone back and try my third cheese burger… Hope it’s like my first one! Cheers

Decent food, overpriced, and although service fantastic, on this Saturday night, it took 1 hour for food to arrive. Sorry Trump, maybe you should focus on your restaurant not on politics.

I have mixed feelings on Champions, since I’ve had good experiences and mediocre experiences. I love the outdoor patio dining area, though most of the year it’s too hot and humid to eat outside. And, although this past visit was perfect weather, they only had one server working all of the outside tables, so the wait was extraordinary.(It took 45 minutes to get my bread and 60 minutes to even take my order — about 90 minutes for food to arrive.) The indoors area feels more like a sports bar — quite loud with TVs playing — but is priced at a four-star restaurant. It’s a big of a weird mix. The baja tacos are delicious and enough for a full meal. The Birdie chicken sandwich was also tasty, except that mine arrived quite cold. The dinner rolls are quite good, and although I had to really hunt for sea salt, I was happy to find it :) Service is very friendly and professional. The prices pull down the stars. A soda is $ 5, and it’s hard to find anything on the menu less than the $ 16 burger. My tacos and a diet coke was over $ 30 after the included service, tax, and other fees.

First off from what I understand any reviews prior to End of 2014 should be discarded as this place is brand new from top to bottom. Located at the Doral Clubhouse unless your staying here I doubt you will be visiting but if you are coming here you certainly could do a lot worse when it comes to a lunch or post round cocktail and sandwich. Elegantly appointed overlooking #1 and #18 of the Blue Monster with both seating on the windows or outside on the terrace. Menu is fairly short for lunch with soups, salads, sandwiches, etc. I’ll keep it simple: French Onion Soup was RICH and full of flavor maybe one of the top 3 French Onion Soups I’ve ever had simple as that. Salads both Burratta cheese with Shrimp and other were both fresh and tasty if not expensive $ 30.00 when adding shrimp. YIKES. Pastrami on Rye with Cole slaw was good but really nothing special and no Russian Dressing was available even though it was on the menu. Real winner here were the Burgers. Mix of 3 blends of meat they were tasty, fresh perfectly cooked to everyone’s specifications with a variety of buns, pretzel, etc. Plenty of mustard, mayo and sauces fresh lettuce tomato and red onion and fries were hot and fresh. Service from Rosalie was impeccable. Note 18% service charged added to all bills regardless of party size. Bottom line on property this was a Hit. Though pastrami failed a bit and it is expensive per normal pricing NOTRESORT… I certainly would not hesitate to return here even if it was for the French Onion Soup Itself.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting up with a couple friends at Trump National Doral. When we decided to stay and grab a bite to eat, we asked a couple gentle men that worked there(Gabriel C. and Gabriel S.) what they could recommend. They informed us that Champions Restaurant had just reopened and we would be pleasantly surprised. I must say, we definitely were. The view is spectacular, the atmosphere was relaxed yet still refined. We were able to enjoy our conversation as well as are meal, the noise level was perfect. The service was efficient, friendly and inviting. Upon recommendation I had to try the«Naked Burger»… I couldn’t be happier with my choice. The burger was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right, bonus truffle fries… Need I say more? I must say that we had all been pleasantly surprised when Donald Trump him self came in to eat. I guess it’s nice to know that he frequents his establishments. Now I get to say«I broke bread with Donald Trump». I will defiantly be back again, should I dare ask Donald to join me?

Food us average at best. At these prices it should be at least 4 star. I would go to BW3 before Coning here got food. Captive since I did not rent a car. More to self take a cab to a restaurant.

Bad food and bad service. We sat for 15 minutes before someone came to take our drink order, though we had yet to receive a drink menu, nor had been poured water… The app flat bread was good. The mains took over 50 minutes to arrive. The steak was overcooked, the potatoes that accompanied it, cold. The best thing we ordered was our son’s kid menu grilled cheese. BADBADBAD, especially when you’re shelling out Trump prices. Very disappointed.

Seriously I hope the Donald revamps the staff & menu here ASAP! Totally overpriced mediocre food. Pardon me but a chopped salad anywhere in North America is chopped lettuces, not mixed greens, any culinary novice knows that.

For a high priced golf resort, the service at Champions was terrible. Took forever to get someone to acknoledge you, bring your food or drink, etc. Sitting down in the seat area at the edge of the patio resulted in having to go get my own drink, etc. No one ever did stop by to see if I needed anything. Order french fries and no catchup! No salt/pepper on the tables, etc. Unfortunately, choices at the Doral are limited unless you’re willing to venture off. Won’t be back

Expect more from a supposedly 4 star hotel. Pretty setting, sit in or outside viewing beautiful grounds and fountains. Customer service fair, but could hustle a little though not busy. Food is nothing special and portions are small. Pricey for regular items from a golf course. Eating out next time, not worth the convenience.

The coolest thing about the Champions Bar and Grill are the past champions and players at Doral which the restaurant honors. Recent examples include a framed photograph from the 2009WGC-CA Championship where Henrik Stenson stripped down to his underwear to hit a shot from the water on the third hole of the Blue Monster. Stenson autographed the photo on his underwear! Another example, from the 2010 tournament, shows Robert Allenby celebrating his hole-in-one on the 13th hole. The restaurant’s menu cover is a photo collage of all past champions at Doral. It’s pretty cool. Scattered thoughout the menu are photos, quotes, and trivia about past champions. Champions Bar and Grill is essentially a golf clubhouse’s grill where you can get hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, etc. and catch up on sports on one of their flat panels. Since this is Doral though, they’ve stepped it up and made it fancier. You can also get basic seafood and steaks here. I stopped by for lunch today after playing a morning round at the Gold Course. Along with refreshingly air conditioned indoor seating, they have plenty of covered outdoor seating on the lower clubhouse patio, overlooking a small courtyard, a practice putting green, and the Blue Monster itself. I ordered the ahi tuna stack and the beef pastrami. The ahi tuna stack is the last starter listed on the menu. It consists of ahi tuna layered on top of mangoes and avocado. Everything is fresh and sliced and is sitting in a bowl of ponzu sauce. Not a bad starter. The sandwiches here are HUGE. They come with half a plate of fries and a whole pickle. It’s a lot of food. The grill was busy today and I don’t think I saw a single customer finish their entire sandwich plate. Most were either eating only half a sandwich or leaving all their fries behind. After downing the ahi tuna stack, I could only manage to eat half the beef pastrami and a few fries. The beef pastrami is a hot sandwich and I had it prepared with provolone. The roast beef was hearty and the bread was incredibly thick. Where do they find this stuff? Our server was Jose and he did a good job. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time especially considering how busy the restaurant was today. The manager came to check on us which was nice.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Doral Golf Resort with a friend who’s a member. Their resort’s Champions Bar and Grill is located outside and overlooks the vast golf course creating a very scenic setting. While the menu at Champions is simple, offering appetizers, burgers and sandwiches the food here is very good. My party started our meal off with buffalo chicken wings which we all enjoyed. For entrees I split a Jalapeño and Pepper Jack Cheese Burger and Champion’s Mac-and-Cheese with Bacon. The burger was fantastic, being served hot and fresh with the jalapenos making it very spicy. Champion’s bar also offers a wide variety of drafts, and mixed drinks and shots. Members of Doral are fortunate to have Champions to frequently enjoy a meal or drink after a round of golf. For non-members like myself, Champions was a great venue to come eat at on a warm golfing day.

Sub-par…When you think of Doral Golf Resort, you think great golf courses, ritzy shops, and of course good food and service. The good food and service are definitely lacking in Champions Sports Bar & Grill. When I asked what foods where made fresh on premises, the answer was none. All food is brought in through a third party vendor, and is frozen. That would be fine if it were not for the high price tag and poor service. I ordered a Guiness, Humus, and a Burger. The Guiness was tinny, and the humus and burger were just«OK» after we got them 40 minutes later. This is of course when our waiter Charles only had two customers. I asked him what the status of the burger was, and he kept walking saying«It should be out any minute» I was just about to cancel the order, but the food arrived.
