BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse

Love coming here for the half off large pizzas on Monday special as well as swinging by for a Pizookie whenever I’m in the area. The staff is friendly and fast. I like coming to this location in the Miami area.

I came here spontaneously craving a burger and was surprisingly pleased. I ordered the bacon guacamole burger and it was delicious. I loved the chipotle sauce that they used and my favorite part were the crispy cries.
Our waiter was nice and accommodated us even When we wanted to sit in a bigger booth (it was just 2).
Overall i was pretty satisfied.

I came here 3 times after my last review, and I’m happy to report that BJ’s is doing a great job. Our food was very good and service was really outstanding, what a change from 4 months ago! Kudos to all the staff. Thanks to our waiter Christopher too, you did a great job tonight. Cheers!

Food and atmosphere is nice but service needs improvement. Also their dishes and aroma need to add some hygiene. However, still fun place.

We walked in and were seated right away. Our waiter was awesome, he suggestions were very accurate. Even hooked us up with two drink for the price of one. Loved it, would definitely go back.

Went to this location for dinner. Awful service. We ordered I appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 drinks. We got the entrees before the appetizer which arrived 20 minutes later. The waiter didn’t bother to offer an excuse about the issue, never passed by to ask how was the service/​food, never inquired if we needed anything else, never refilled glasses of water.
Worse service ever. Restaurant employees take for granted tips and don’t care about providing quality service.
Neither will I return to this place nor I will recommend anyone

When you find yourself on a business trip and just trying to get a quick meal BJs is a great choice. I came with my colleague and we were literally starving. Michael, our server, brought us a few garlic knots to tide us over. Honestly food was ok not amazing but Michael’s service made me want to keep coming back. I work in a customer centric environment and would be lucky to have someone like him on my team!

The place looks great but we decided to go on Easter Sunday and they did not have staff on hand and they took a long time to take our order. We where a group of 14 and when we where served our meal they forgot two of our orders and two of our friends left without eating. Like I said nice looking place but staff was overwhelmed.

Great food, good beer, drinks are reasonable and worth just the right amount of alcohol. The variety of food is amazing, something for everyone. I have had the California club with the tortilla soup and fries and it was amazing. The risotto with the salmon and asparagus is delish add well. Don’t leave without trying their desserts!

I went to this location for the first time today with coworkers. We were served today by one of the best servers I have had in a long time. I don’t know where they found Diana, but this is a dynamic server. She is attentive, friendly engaging and knows the menu. Without Diana, I would still have had a great lunch, but because of her. I had an amazing lunch.

I’m extremely happy to report that BJ’s service is improving. Last night took my daughter and nephew to dinner at BJ’s.
Our waiter came within 5 minutes after we were seated, wow. that was almost unheard of in the past, when waits between 10 and 20 minutes were the norm. We all ordered drinks and hamburgers and pulled pork sandwiches.
Our drinks came quickly. Our waiter came back frequently to check on us, and when the food started to take longer than usual he apologized and offered a complementary appetizer! Double wow! As I said before, in the past waiters used to vanish after taking your order, and when the food finally came (brought by someone that was NOT our waiter, usually Chewbacca, considering his communication skills) it usually was lukewarm, and God forbid that there was something wrong with the order, until our waiter would show up the food was already cold and disgusting (Boba Fett would not eat it).
Again, he frequently checked on us, and we finalized our dinner with an incredibly pizookie, which came in about 5 minutes … Triple WOW! I had occasions that they brought the pizookie centuries after the order, when it was all melted and depressed, needing a therapy session with Freud.
Bj’s… you earned another start! UhUh!

Solid HH and a great value if you’re in the area. Drinks were very good… pleasantly surprised! They have an extensive selection of brews here. The service was also very, very good. Our waiter was very attentive and they even brought us complimentary shots at the end of the meal. Food is good for a chain restaurant. Tuna Tartare was lacking flavor, but the fish was very fresh. The Sriracha cheese dip was addictive. My son loves their mac and cheese. Would definitely return if I’m nearby for HH… they have great specials!

Went here for lunch today and I ordered the mini cheese pizza. Of course they screwed up my order and brought me chicken cheese pizza. I asked them to change it to what I had ordered. I must say I didn’t make a complain or anything. I’m assuming the manager saw me eating my bfs food because I was starving came to our table to apologize and didn’t charge me for the pizza… Which was very nice since I didn’t make a complain or anything.

Bj’s Brewhouse is a good choice for casual dining. I found the food to be above average but I can only rate vegetarian options. The ice tea needs help right now, it doesn’t stand out and I feel (since I have been here a few times) that it doesn’t keep a level of consistency. Just like the name implies it also has a bar area. Traffic at this place can vary, I would avoid it during the Friday night to Saturday night time range unless you are willing to do a line. My waiter was attentive but we found that the amount of time to bring food out was a touch on the slow side. Desserts are way too sugary for my taste. Pizza and burgers are the dominating choices here. Portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. It reminds me of Cheesecake Factory. The menu is just as large. If you want a non-​pretentious choice this will fit the bill nicely.

Great service, an amazing variety of food and drinks. However we were using the flashlights on our phones to read the menu, im sure the ambience they were going for was great, but if I cant even read my menu then somethings wrong. And when asked if we could lighten up the olace we kept getting passive responses like «ill talk with the manager» or «of course, well work on that».
While the variety of food offered is amazing, the quality is «so-​so». The dios were cold, the baked ziti was 90% meat 10% pasta. But admittedly there were some great appetizers (pot stickers, avacado egg rolls).

I’ve been to BJ’s exactly 3 times. Once in San Diego, CA on a date night. And twice in Miami, FLz for a birthday party and another for a lunch date. Unfortunately, I wasn’t too impressed either time. I’m not a big beer person so I cannot comment much on that end. But my food selections were a bit spicy for my taste. The dessert wasn’t anything out of this world and I am a huge dessert person so that was a little unexpected since I see this place is always so packed.
Good things are that service has been great all times and parking is always available. The waits are never too long and they allow you to bring in a cake for birthday parties. They allow RSVP’s so for a person who loves to plan ahead it’s perfect for me. I hope their menus in the future get a little better.

As usual, BJ’s Brewhouse does amazing!!! This visit was a little different though! Christine and Bianca (hostess and manager) had to wait the table because of two big parties that were previously seated. The service was infallible. I found out later that Bianca was waiting multiple tables for the same reason and she’s a manager! At the end of the day, we were never in need of anything. Our food came out perfectly and our drinks were never empty for long. This is my first trip to the Doral location and now I love both locations.
Food wise: I had the Shrimp Alfredo (listed as chicken but I subbed shrimp). Sauce was seasoned and thick enough. I had enough shrimp that I ate some during the meal and still had some to take home. Bianca also gave me another garlic roll! (Score!!!)

It was my 1^st time at this restaurant, and I was provided with good service. The hostess and server were attentive and friendly. The place looked well kept. I wish I could give this place a full 5 stars, but I can’t because of these two reasons:
1) The menu had too many items listed, which makes deciding on a meal overwhelming. I like simplicity.
2) I had a Bacon-​Guacamole burger. It was good but it wasn’t wow! I’m not sure if they’re food specialties are burgers, but I would have to give it another shot.
Overall, I would go back to try another item because judging them based on one plate isn’t fair.
I rate them 4 for now.

I’m not going to talk about their great food, the amazing drinks, good services or nice location.
I want to mention the unbelievable APP where you can order ahead, select everything you want so its save you time when arrive. You can also earn points with the reward program and can pay with the APP too!
I go here a few times per month because it’s close and very convenient.
My only suggestion will be to improve the WiFi. But this isn’t enough to take a star off.

Bjs has pretty decent beers and tons of happy hour specials for both food and drinks. Granted, if you have dietary restrictions (vegan), it’s less than ideal, but the kitchen was willing to work with you. I ordered a vegetarian flatbread pesto pizza without cheese that was absolutely delicious. Also, try the guacamole and pair it with their Harvest Hefeweizen; you won’t be disappointed.
Peak hours are Friday and Saturday night. It’s like a South Beach night club in there with lines running back to the parking lot, so be patient.

Good place to stop for lunch. Especially when I need a few minutes to chill out.

I prefer to pony up to the bar, as I’m often solo in this part of Miami. Have always felt welcomed, even when they are jamming.

Good food, competitive prices, ok service (never outstanding and sometimes very slow) and usually busy regardless of time. Place is quite big and I like the look and feel of it. Nice selection of beers and menu items. Their lunch specials don’t disappoint. I’m not big on sweets, yet I can’t leave without have a pazookie (yummy).

We came to BJ’s because we were in the area and wanted to grab a quick lunch. The service wasn’t the best but the food was ok. If you like deep dish pizza they have a few good different selections. I like spicy so I went with their new Spicy Hawaiian Chicken pizza. Their crust was really good. My boyfriend went with the BBQ pulled pork and French fries which he said was ok.

Nice place to grab lunch or have a fuzz free time, experiment with beer (hello, two color beer), colas and a few other fluids in between.
Their menu is LONG with options for every taste. We tried the brussel sprouts, fried calamari, mahi mahi tacos, cali sandwich and the beignet for dessert. Everything was good and definitely satisfied our hunger.
Service was on point.
This is no farm to table place (although technically…: I believe they brew their own beers?); this is an old school, all american chain restaurant, so pls keep in mind when sizing up your expectations. Yet, compared to others from its kind, they are definitely above average. Good eats!

I am a fan of this microbew chain. I have even hosted a birthday dinner or two (one with 30+) at this location. The salads and pizzas are really great crowd pleasers and the chicken marsala is super tasty!
As for the beers, the Jeremiah Red and Amber Ale are full-​bodied and go with a variety of foods. The Hefeweizzen is fruity and has a delicate wheat flavor bringing up the rear. They also have a full bar and most major beer labels in bottles.
They also have a menu that can please just about everyone. Even their lighter options are full of flavor and always very satisfying. The mahi mahi is my favorite when I feel like I should save my calories for a pizookie (I’ll get to that later). The fish is firm and served on a bed of sauteed rice and crisp vegetables. All of it is topped with a sweet and tangy sauce that provides the right balance of flavors.
On this occasion I ordered the spinach and artichoke dip and was not impressed. It was flavorless, cold in the middle, and made with so much cream cheese that our chips would break when trying to scoop some out, I would not order this appetizer again.
For my entrée I got the Parmesan crusted chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The chicken was topped with a lemon butter sauce, perfectly pan-​fried, and juicy. The kitchen is very fond of their cream cheese as I believe that a fair bit of it is in their mashed potatoes. They are a bit heavy, but this is how my mama makes them and so I really like it :) The broccoli is only lightly steamed and seasoned. Definitely needs a dip in the lemon butter sauce for added flavor.
I tried the ahi tuna salad and thought that it had a perfect ratio of dressing to vegetable. The tuna was just seared and very fresh. Watch out for the little mounds of wasabi on the side of the plate, but otherwise a very refreshing and filling salad.
For the piece de resistance we got a salted caramel pizookie. It looks like an over-​sized easy bake oven cookie but it is full of hot gooey, buttery, nutty cookie. Topped with two scoops of vanilla ice cream, salted caramel sauce, and chocolate chips, the cookie was inhaled within minutes. Though this one is good, my favorite is still the peanut butter. However, I have had them all and there isn’t a bad one in the bunch!
In all I had good service, tasty drink and food, all in a very nice location. I love BJs Brewhouse and will keep coming back for more!

We took mommy here for Mother’s Day; this was my second time. I was famished and I left the food took forever to get to our table. The waiter recommend delicious drinks but I wasn’t feel that we’ll so I can’t comment on the food. my mom had the salmon and she was in love.

Tolle Sportsbar mit einer cool Bedienung. Auf den TV liefen Football und NBA Berichterstattungen. Die Karte war sehr übersichtlich, neben den typischen amerikanischem Essen gab es auch viele alternativen. Die Chicken Wings als Vorspeise waren sehr lecker, dazu gab es drei Saucen… die BBQ Sauce war sehr lecker. Dem Kellner ist ein Fehler unterlaufen (falsches Essen) hat aber mit einem lächeln dass essen ohne Diskussion wieder getauscht und sich entschuldigt. Für mich gab es einen leckeren Bison Burger und ein alkoholfreies Bier (auch lecker, St. Pauli). Insgesamt sind wir gesättigt und zufrieden wieder raus gegangen.

This review is for their beer dinner, which they host once a quarter at some of their locations.
I’ve tried BJ’s at other locations, and while the food is not bad, neither is it outstanding. However, when Unilocal posted about they a beer dinner featuring Rogue Brewery beer, at a reasonable price of $ 30, I figure it’s worth trying.
The dinner offers a tasting of 5 Rogue beers and 2 of BJ’s own brew, through a four course dinner. The flatbread pizza is quite delicious but the cajun chicken pasta has mushy noodles. Dessert is their famous Pizooki, which is a cookie a la mode.
The event is quite well prepared, with powerpoint giving info about the Rogue Brewery and their beers. There are trivia questions to help engaging the diners and providing conversation starter (strangers are seated family style at big tables.) Service is very good — the guy pouring the beer really knows about the stuff, and when one lady didn’t like her pasta, they offered her a different entrée at no charge. They are very generous with their pour, and don’t mind pouring seconds (though i can’t even finish my share!)
Will most certainly keep an eye out for their next beer dinner. It does sell out at some locations, so do call ahead to RSVP.

Die Damen im Service wirkte etwas hibbelig, kaum war ein Teller leer, war er auch schon vom Tisch verschwunden.
Die Cola war noch halbvoll, schon verschwand das Glas und es gab Refill. Man hatte das Gefühl, sie würde immer um uns herumschwirren. Irgendwie war es schon wieder lustig.
Besonders als sie dann Anfang zu erzählen, das Coors-​Bier ja nun von einer deutschen Brauerei gekauft worden wäre und nun kein amerikanisches Bier wäre! Ok!
Wir grinsten nur und nickten.
Das Barbeque Pulled Pork Sandwich war einfach klasse. Geröstete Zwiebeln oben drauf, mit einer eine Red Ale Sauce, dazu Cole Slaw und Fries.
Ein Traum und ein Magenfüller in einem.
Die Amerikaner bekommen die Burger einfach irgendwie anders hin, als sie bei uns in good old Germany schmecken.
Ein Nachtisch ging nicht mehr rein, aber verlockend sah auch dieser aus.
Wenn jemand die Gelegenheit hat, dieses oder ein anderes BJ’s zu testen, unbedingt hingehen!

No me Gustó, primera ves que iba y la experiencia no fue agradable, la camarera nunca le llegue a ver una sonrisa, no nos explico nada hacerca del menu, estaba como en Rush, y eso me estreso, la comida mas o menos, nada especial. Mucha falta de limpieza, platos sucios en las estaciones de los server, basura en el piso. El manager nunca lo vi. Los precios son buenos pero un servicio asi no provoca regresar.
