I will start off by saying for a first impression this café was great ! Wonderful curb appeal and once inside the atmosphere is warm, inviting and has a homey feeling. The menu is wonderful with healthy choices for breakfast lunch and dinner and I am pretty sure it doesn’t cost anymore than a big breakfast from McDonald’s, which I would never recommend. The service was just as out standing as the food was delicious. I would have given 5 stars but more of a tea variety than coffee and I am not much of a tea drinker and the waitress was telling us that they are going to stop serving breakfast which I totally disagree with since my Apple Bacon and Cheddar panini was wonderful !

Wow. Have a meal here and be prepared to be impressed! I had lunch here and the meal was amazing. Ordered the half salad/half panini. The panini with sweet potatoes and caramelized onions and spinach and feta… It was fantastic. The Thai peanut salad was another wow item. The vegetables were fresh and the peanut dressing was unique and delicious. I would go out of my way to eat here again! Also had a lovely tea and service was very friendly!

I enjoyed an excellent Chicken Parmesan Panini, with a pasta side salad and a pickle spear. The surroundings are absolutely wonderful. This is a place that should not be missed.

What a great find. Great herbal teas, excellent homemade hummus and roasted veggie sandwich and delicious soup and salad. And so beautifully presented. This will be a regular stop for us now.

Wow! If this place was in Southern California the owners could make a killing. This establishment is clean, nutritious, delicious and has a «good vibe tribe» feel. This is my second time(visits were 1.5 years apart) and I’m impressed with the inclusiveness provided by the owners. From drum and guitar lessons, a tea bar, café, store with all Items made by locals and the amazing café I’n sold! For lunch I had the carnitas barley soup with incredibly tasty croutons and the(what I call) Thanksgiving panini. Both dishes were amazing(especially the soup). The water was infused with cucumber, mint, ginger and lemon. I look forward to returning during future visits to Dixon. What a treat!

My best friend and I stumbled upon this gem on a cross country drive and it became the highlight of our trip. Great food(especially the breakfast panini) and people. We left with happiness :).

Two of us went out for breakfast, deciding to give Ginkgo Tree Café a chance — we knew very little about it except for their website and 1 review here. We were very pleased. The meal was tasty, fresh, well presented and it’s nice to have a scrumptious meal that is wholesome as well. I had the breakfast casserole which, today, was roasted zucchini, broccoli, in an egg casserole with feta cheese. I also especially enjoyed the atmosphere and service. Service was friendly, efficient, and attentive. The café is a component of the overall Complete Wellness Center so the Café seating is intertwined with the Tea Counter and Gift Shop items, including many local paintings and photography. This made for an interesting, relaxing, and pleasant environment. We liked being able to browse around at the different parts of the shop when we were done eating. Assuming the proprietors are okay with it, this is the kind of place that would be great for spending a few hours reading, working on a laptop/“away from the office”, or otherwise spending time for something other than just a meal. It is a nice asset for Dixon and I was a bit surprised there weren’t more patrons there when we were. A few caveats: Not expensive but not that filling for the price. Maybe a different breakfast entrée would have been more filling, but the breakfast casserole arrangement wasn’t enough for me. Didn’t take credit cards. Something about not having a good enough signal. Not sure what was meant by this but I’m sure it can be overcome as soon as it’s made a priority. Was a bit chilly at our table not far from the window.

I was born and raised in Dixon and always look forward to trying new restaurants when I visit my hometown. My mother had been raving about Gingko Tree, so we headed there last weekend. The menu is somewhat limited, with several soup, salad and sandwich options available on a rotating basis. They post the day’s specials on their Facebook page, so you know what will be available before you visit. I had a Southern Pork and Slaw wrap with a side of fruit and it was absolutely delicious. My fiancé and mom both tried the Asian Vegetable Soup, which was similar to a Tom Yum, and couldn’t stop raving about it(be sure to get the homemade croutons with your soup). My dad had a big bowl of beef barley soup and scarfed it down. We also shared a pot of one of their many tea offerings. My fiancé is somewhat of a tea snob and was delighted with the quality and incredibly fair price of our tea($ 3.75 for a pot of a high-quality green tea). While I was there, I learned that Gingko Tree will also be offering breakfast starting April 1! I’d love to visit and try their breakfast fare as well the next time I’m in town. I believe they also offer fitness and wellness courses at the Traditional Wellness Center upstairs, but I didn’t learn much about that during my short visit. This place is an absolute jewel — fresh food, friendly staff and high quality at a great price. I’d recommend it to all Dixonites and anyone passing through the town!
