Loved it, fantastic scallops that were clean and not gritty. Tasted great, chefs had a fantastic attitude. All in all I loved this place.

Surprising find in Dickinson ND. Good service, decent food favorite course was the beef negimaki appetizer but unfortunately the beer selection was quite weak.

Hibachi is very good. Sushi is pretty decent also. The service, however, leaves something to be desired.

I have been twice for both sushi and the hibachi dinner/show. It was great both times. I highly recommend it. Prices are a little high, but when you factor in that the fish is shipped fresh from the coast, it is very reasonable.

Friendly staff, my favorite part of the meal was the fried rice. Everything else was pretty good.

I was in Dickinson for the summer and I dined here many times. This place is good, but I think it is pricey for the quality of food that they serve. I can’t say how fresh their fish is, but their bento boxes and cooked rolls are not bad at all. Okay, so why the three stars… The miso soup was never hot. The dressing that came with the crab salad is practically spicy mayo. Skip the fried spring rolls, there’s like nothing in them. Anddd if you’re eating with someone, don’t expect your food to come out at the same time. Don’t even wait for the other person’s dish to arrive because your food will get cold. /end rant.

Stopped in last night while in dickinson for an event. The food and atmosphere were great. The sushi was really amazing. My complaint was the service. Our waiter came over promptly and took our drink order which was water due to the fact that we were working. He came back with the water. Put it down and said here. That’s it. Just here. Almost like he was upset because we were not drinking. He took our order and that was the last time we saw him. He spent the rest of the time two tables down talking to another table. Another person brought our order out and we ate with no plates and had to use napkins so we didn’t make a mess on the table with soy sauce. After we were almost finished another waitress noticed our glasses were empty and refilled them then handed us a check. Without good service the food doesn’t matter. Next year we will be back the same time and even though we love sushi we will not return!

Our party of 6 had a blast at the habacci tables! The food was delicious too. Our chef was friendly, hilarious and great at making our entrees.

My colleagues in Texas told me about this place, so I figured I try it. It was really good! Plus, it’s a nice alternative to fast food and other chain restaurants. I’ll probably eat there every night I’m in town(3 nights).

As the only Asian place in Dickinson– I was pleasantly surprised. We sat at the habachi tables. The chef was wonderfully entertaining. And he made great food. I thought the steak was better than the chicken but we really enjoyed it. We’ll be coming back!

Pretty good food. Service was a bit slow and I had to ask the server both times for a refill on my drink.

Not bad… I’ve been in North Dakota for work for a few weeks now. One weekend, I visited the Teddy Roosevelt National Park for fun and on my way back, I stopped here to have a bite. I haven’t eaten anything bug«beige food» while I’ve been here. I feel spoiled. I have access to all different cuisines back home — Indian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Tex-Mex, Barbecue, etc. Well, I was craving sushi and there’s none of that in the town we’re working in(there’s not a lot of anything in Beulah) so why not? The place looks«whatever» from the outside but once you walk in, it’s really dark and there’s blue lighting, which makes it seem like they’re trying to go for a swanky club vibe. Really? Even at lunch you won’t turn on some normal lights? Anyway, I got the spicy girl roll, two pieces of white tuna sushi, and one unagi sushi. The spicy girl roll was decent and a pretty generously sized roll. The fish was okay; I think it could have been fresher. The service isn’t great. It took a while for a girl to come and ask me for my drink order. After she took it, two seconds later, another girl came up and asked me for my drink order and I had to send her away. The food came out in a timely manner, but the restaurant was pretty empty so if it took a long time, I’d be pretty peeved. Overall, it’s an all right place. There aren’t any other options so if you’re in the area and craving sushi, it will probably sate your cravings.

The sushi rolls are pretty good. I’ve tried most of them. In a larger city I would give this restaurant 2 or 3 stars. But a place like this in oil country is a good find. The main courses all have similar flavor no matter what you get. But it’s okay. The salad that comes with the meal is just plain gross. Wilting lettuce and too much dressing. Onion soup is good. And they have fresh ginger!

I think Sakura just stepped up the game here in Dickinson. This is exactly the kind of place this town has been BEGGING for. Great atmosphere and fantastic food. Service is a little shotty, but that could be because they’re still new. We’ll see. Prices are on par with any other Sushi nice restaurant. It’s not exactly cheap to get fresh fish to NORTHDAKOTA. I will for sure be a regular here. YUM!
