I recently purchased a home with a swamp cooler. We were told that Smits has historically taken care of the seasonal care for the cooler, so when the time came to have it uncovers and checked, I gave them a call. He said that he could have someone out next week, and since it was still in the 70s, I wasn’t that worried about it. Then, it suddenly got super warm. We spent one night sweating it out, so when Smits called and asked if I would want them to come out a day earlier than scheduled, I jumped at the offer. The technician showed up slightly before scheduled, climbed up to check it out and came back, asking if I knew where the main pipe connected. I had no idea what he was talking about, but he found it anyway and hooked it up. It took maybe a half hour to get everything up and running again, and he made sure it was working well before he left. Total set me back $ 109, but they also run a promotion for $ 249 where they will winterize the unit and then set it up for summer again, essentially giving you $ 50 off.

Purchased a Trane heat pump from them 6 years ago. In 6 years had problem after problem with it. When I called them for help was told they no longer service this area. Even though I bought the unit from them they don’t even have the decency to return my calls with questions about the unit. I was told Trane is a top unit but this one is a lemon, refrigerator lines bad, ran out of freon and was told the freon is old style, also had problem with fan and motor, parts distributor said they had lots of problems with the fan and motors on this unit but Trane refuses to help as well. So once they all got the money they ran!

Showed up on time for a HVAC problem, quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem then gave me several good maintenance tips to keep my power bill down and didn’t give me a sales pitch. I’d recommend them for sure.
