A good Korean restaurant that has the basics on the menu. We ordered the kimchi fried rice, bibimbop and bulgogi bowl. All were prepared to our liking. The pricing was fair and service was good. There was nothing stand-out or special about Spicy Kimchi, but it’s a solid restaurant for sure. I do like the K-Pop video’s on the big screen for entertainment, which made our lunch time a little happier experience.

Really nice place and cheap too. The portion is big compared to the price. Have a really good time enjoying the food here.

You know when I saw 4-stars, I was totally expecting that rating. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t really appetizing. I came here with my girlfriend and we had ordered the Bulgogi and the Soon Tofu. So I’ll break it down from there. Service: The guy that served us was okay. Didn’t say much or do much. Majority of the time he would wander around the back counter and kitchen when we needed something. What was nice about the restaurant is that if you order two entrée they have a complimentary green onion and leek pancakes. So with that, I’d give the service a mediocre rating. Food: Now this is where it disappoints me. I’ve tried a lot of korean food and this by far is the most disappointing. My girlfriend had ordered the Bulgogi and when it came out it looked decent, but the meat was rubbery and overcooked. So that was a bummer, plus all I taste is meat and no seasoning. I ordered the Soon Tofu Soup. Now you would think it would be saltier, but the soup taste like straight up hot water. There so much water it dilutes all the taste of the soup. They just dropped a big slab of tofu which is great, but there is no meat in the soup at all. Conclusion: Never trying this place again. Food ain’t worth the price. I’m pretty sure there are better places around this area. If they actually season there food, maybe theres a chance.

One of the best places for breakfast or lunch in town. Only problem is they are so good, it can get crowded. Weekday breakfast has never been too crowded in my experience. Great food! Great service!

This place is small, humble, and UNDERRATED — which is bittersweet because they deserve more love but I also want to keep it my own personal lunch getaway destination… I came here cuz my nose was clogged and needed some hot soup to get the mucus flowing(oops did you lose your appetite yet?). Two good signs you’ll notice when you walk in: 1. Air smells like sesame oil(legit) 2. KPOP projected on a huge screen(double legit) That should mean the food’s authentic, right gaiz??? Right??? In this case, YES! KIMCHIDUMPLINGSOUP($ 8.99) — holy baloney the bowl was HUGE and lasted me 2 meals! I was expecting your typical soondoobu size but this was like a large phở bowl! Generous amount of dumplings and rice cakes floating around a thick, murky soup with buoys of tender beef chunks and egg ribbons. Soo incredibly soothing and relaxing that it made me feel like an ajima was giving me a hug and rubbing my belly telling me «everything will b ok». Keep in mind it’s quite a simple soup and will not give you a 1-way ticket to flavor town but it was just what i needed. THEBANCHAN — i was given 4 different types — mostly pickled delicacies. They all tasted fresh and authentic, but could’ve used a little more variety(maybe potato salad as a request plz??). BESTTHINGABOUTTHISPLACE: They seriously offer a good variety of korean soups and dishes and IT’S CHEAP! They have a handful of bowls that are less than $ 5! CAHMAHN! PARKING — ezpz it’s located in a strip mall with the Domino’s Pizza. Be warned the plaza entrance might not be rice rocket friendly cuz there’s a major incline lulzzzz 4 Stars for now because I’ve only tried one dish here but 10⁄10 I’d definitely return for a korean food hit-it-and-quit-it lunch quickie.

My bf and I adore this place; even the friends we brought here loved it too. Huge portions with relatively cheap prices($ 2.25 for a boba milk tea! A huge plate of kimbap for $ 5.99!), and every thing is absolutely delicious. My bf loves their fruit smoothies, says it taste like they use real, fresh fruit. I personally love their fried rice cake and popcorn chicken sticks, and their egg drop udon(the most beautiful poached egg you have ever seen floating in broth from the culinary GODS). If you order a lot, enough for 2 people, you get a free leek pancake! Totally worth the drive all the way to Diamond Bar… and up that steep af hill the chain of stores are on. RIP low rise cars

The Korean Tacos here are on point. A friend of mine once said a Taco restaurant all depends on the Quality of the Sauce. The Special Home Made Spicy Kimchi Taco Sauce here is to Die for. 3 Bulgogi Tacos are $ 5 bucks + Tax which is not bad. If you love spicy like I do I highly recommend the Kimchi Sauce here.

I came here with my fiancé after my coworkers had frequented here quite a bit. I ordered my food ahead of tjqme because I was on a lunch break. We came in and the food was set up beautifully at a table! It was so nice, and reminiscent of eating at a nice restaurant. The guy at the counter was very welcoming and professional. The food was delicious! I got the dolsot bimbimbap and my fiancé got the kalbi. Both were really good. He couldn’t stop talking about the macaroni salad. All in all, for a 45-minute lunch date, it was a lovely respite to break up the workday.

I went here four times already within two months. I would say this is more like a family restaurant. Comfortable and clean. I like there giant tv with Korean MTV, therefore we will never be bored when we are waiting our food . Service is good and friendly. Food is tasty. Price is reasonable. Definitely my favorite place to eat my neighborhood. Promotion: Free boba milk tea with purchase of entrée !

I’ve been here several times, and wouldn’t mind coming back in the future, hence the 4-star. We general get them to-go so the quality and taste wouldn’t be exactly the same as if they freshly came out to the dining room. Over the years, we’ve tried several items, but my fav is still the spicy seafood noodle soup, Jambong(something like that). I think it depends on what you ordered. I recall there were dishes that weren’t so good(or maybe they were just ok). But for the spicy seafood noodle soup, its great and I love it there.

Honestly I’m disappointed to how this place has gone down with the quality of their food. I been coming here since the first day they opened during my high school years and now 8 years counting And they have always been nice… So it saddens me to have to say that I will no longer be going here after today. I found a piece of metal in my kimchi stew which is NOT acceptable. Especially when the metal looks like a dishwashing scrub… It grossed me out that there could of been other pieces that I could of eaten before I noticed. I didn’t know whether to call the owner to let them know… Or the health inspector. As far as I’m concerned, this is not okay and I will not be going here anymore… But thanks for having nice customer service… But nice is not going to have me coming back for food.

I’ve been here quite a few times when I crave Korean food but want something a little quicker, I work nearby and my lunches aren’t too long. I usually get the bento box with bulgogi and pork cutlet, but have tried the kimchi fried rice and popcorn chicken. The bulgogi is always a little on the dry side for me, but I love the pork cutlet. The kimchi fried rice was good, but not memorable. The popcorn chicken was too dry and I didn’t like it very much. Food here tastes very average, but it’s expected, if I wanted quality, I’d go to Cho Dang or something. The service is pretty good. I’ll probably be back when I’m craving quick Korean cuisine.

3.5 stars. Affordable, fast korean food. They provided 4 side dishes and a green onion pancake. Great and friendly service. There is also a large screen in the back of the room that plays korean pop music videos. I ordered the Kimchi fried rice with beef. It’s not the best tasting kimchi fried rice I have ever had, but it did satisfy my hunger at the time. It’s not that it tasted bad, but it didn’t really taste like kimchi at all. I would probably come here again if I am hungry and am craving a quick and cheap korean food fix.

When it comes down to Korean food, Diamond Bar doesn’t have that many to offer. This was one of the closest one I’ve found while I was in the area, and I didn’t want to drive all the way to Rowland Heights for other selections. This place was pretty cheap though. But cheaper definitely means food that are of lesser quality. Furthermore, they only had one person working the whole time, but he was actually pretty quick in servicing you, so props to that. Here’s a breakdown of what I ordered: Korean BBQ Bowl– Bulgogi was alright. A bit on the bland side, but doable. Spicy Chicken Bowl– Not that spicy or tender. A bit on the harder side, but doable. Japanese glass noodles(forgot the exact name) — Alright as well, a bit bland. Kimchi Fried Rice– Bigger taste of onions than Kimchi. Not spicy enough. Combination Appetizer Platter — Was alright. The spices were not enough, and the sweet and sour sauce they gave was an interesting mix. Leek Pancake– probably my favorite dish out of all these. A bit on the crunch side, but perfect flavoring. Overall, I would come if you’re on a tight budget, but don’t expect top quality Korean food.

Remember in a previous review where I said I was going through a Korean food kick? Yeah, this is the result of it. We’ve become such fans that for the past few months we’ve become regulars. Food: They have an extensive menu for such a small restaurant. On one of the visits we ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice, which was good but seemed almost too sour for me. We’ve also tried the Curry Popcorn Chicken Bowl and although it is simple it’s very tasty and worth the price. Now we usually get the tofu soup as the soup has so much flavor it’s difficult to not order it. We usually get the medium spicy which has a great flavor but even the non-spicy soup is just as good. The sides are your typical korean sides: kimchi, pickled radish, cucumber, and potatoes, although once in a while we notice they change it up and we’ve seen japchae and fish cakes. Ambiance: Your typical hole in the wall restaurant. It’s a little bit small with few tables lined along the walls. There’s this large projector screen where they play K-pop videos. Service: Staff is great and really friendly, although sometimes I wish they would be more attentive to our needs such as refills of sides or water. Tips: If you order two entrees(not including lunch items) you receive a free leek pancake!
