Nice place. Staff is friendly and place is clean and safe. Free wifi and laundry equipment seems to work good. Happy I came.

It truly makes the laundry experience better. Is clean and spacious and the staff have been absolutely helpful. I went the very first week they opened and a couple of years later I’m still receiving the same service.

I work downtown and live in the city. I’ve been looking for a good Laundromat for months and happened to find this place by doing a web search. I’m so glad I did. The store is clean, well organized, easy to find, and full of amenities I appreciated like charging stations and Wi-​Fi. The attendant on duty when I was there was very friendly, going out of her way to help customers and making everyone feel welcome. The machines worked perfectly and were very reasonably priced. I washed two heavy bedspreads and one comforter, and was done in about an hour, only spending about $ 10 for wash and dry. I was especially impressed with the library available onsite — inviting customers to leave and/​or take a book. This is, hands down, the best Laundromat in the city, and I’ll be back.

Always clean, professional, machines well maintained, rarely over crowded. A very good look for this area!

I have not used the washing machines — just the dry cleaning — so I can’t speak to that. If you are able to go, go to University Cleaners in midtown. Lafayette’s dry cleaning service is slow, expensive, they do not do fixes or alterations, and you must pre-​pay. That is the opposite of University Cleaners in ever way. I have tried to patronize Lafayette as they are in my neighborhood, but I will never go back there again for dry cleaning.

Owners and staff are friendly and helpful. DeAnthony is especially attentive. Facility is clean and spacious. Concerns: not have enough single load washers and more quarters than seems necessary is needed to dry… i.e. my lite undergarments. Also, the dryers badly wrinkle my clothing. Otherwise, I feel this facility is an asset to the community.

I’m a business traveler and stay often in the downtown Detroit area. I’ve been using this laundromat for their wash-​and-​fold service ($ 1.25 a pound, 10 pounds minimum) and I love it. I usually drop off my laundry in the morning, and pick it up after work. The laundry is very neatly folded and separated and packaged, which I love because I would never have done that myself. The owner and workers are extremely friendly and recognize my face — recently they’ve included a handwritten «Thank You» card every time I go pick-​up which was a nice gesture. I once dropped off laundry at 7:30 p.m. (an hour before closing) and asked if I could get it the next morning before 8 a.m. (an hour after opening) as I had a flight to catch — the staff said they were really busy that night already but they still guaranteed they’ll rush it in time for me and made it happen!

I’m here now writing this review… On free wifi. It’s a big spacious laundromat. Very clean. There is a kids areas, which is nice for when I absolutely have to bring the rugrats. Today I lucked out and my husband has them. I am sitting in a lounge area with a public library bookshelf, relevant newspapers and flat screen tv’s. I kinda don’t even want to go home.
The customer service is awesome. He offered to help me carry my six baskets of laundry in. They offer free coffee and donuts.

This laundromat is very clean, customer service oriented and affordable! To be located near downtown Detroit they are affordable! They provide punch cards which offer a free 70 lb load! I seriously recommend this to all! They have an area for children, free wifi, and a cleannnnn atmosphere! It’s never «ghetto» or does not have a bad customer base!

The service was great. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The only reason I didn’t give them five stars is because it’s cash only and very expensive.

I have come the several times now because it’s faster and it’s clean and the staff are very friendly. Machines actually work and they maintain all of them well as well as the cleanliness! I absolutely love this place!
Absolutely love their different cash and change machines. They just went up on prices due to inflation on water costs but they are still reasonable. Huge machines and even a play area for the kids.

Laundry came out perfect. Dropped off at 7am and it was ready at 9. Team is very friendly. They even asked if I had any workout clothes as they wash those differently. LaFayette Laundry is the best fluff and fold I have used in Detroit. I will be coming back for my next wash.

They were clean and fast. They could not press my shirts and they do not accept american express.

After the recent flooding in my area, I had a huge pile of ski clothes, blankets, sleeping bag, comforter, towels and rugs that I didn’t want to throw away but had no way to sanitize or restore. Lafayette Laundry’s drop off service (only $ 1 per pound for wash, dry & fold!) was a life saver. You can do all your own laundry and get a bunch done fast in their spacious, clean and lovely facility (free wi-​fi!). Or you can let their helpful attendants do it for you, as described. Don’t let Detroit location scare you, large, lit (free) parking lot, just east of Greektown in safe neighborhood on Lafayette.

If you need to drop laundry, this place is great. Large area kept very clean with plenty of machines if you’re their to wait and do your own.
We left 10 pounds of laundry for $ 10 and it was washed and folded in 2 hours! Saved us a heap while staying at a hotel downtown.
Friendly helpful lady served us.
We’ll definitely come here again.

Awesome wash & fold service – just $ 1/​pound. Clothes came back great, and the turn around time was amazing (less than 5 hours). Def. coming back.
