I must say, the service at this store is extremely disappointing. I so want to love this location but the service is quite possibly the worst in retail. I have been to this store on 3 different occasions when it was not busy at all. Walked around, looking for someone to help me and once even asked the security for help. No single attendant came by. I was looking to purchase a couple of shirts as a gift for my boyfriend but walked out empty handed. My advise: John Varvatos, Detroit and its residents deserve better and you surely can do better. Please fire those snotty people and hire people who are ready to work and provide service.

I went here on a Wednesday at about 1pm, I was the only customer in the store and I never got greeted or asked if I needed help. However, one of the guys stood there while I was walking around so I could get out of his way to hang clothes(you’ve got to have priorities). I think this store needs to improve if it’s going to survive in a town that has no retail. Im a Varvatos fan, was wearing it when I came into the store. I might have purchased some things, but instead I think I’ll give up on the detroit store. Hopefully someone that matters reads this, just because you lost out on a lot of profit. Disappointing.

The store is incredible! The stage set welcomes you to the hip edgey world of rock & roll. The true appreciation of design applied to amazing fabrics. The clean polished casual look you want to see walking out the door on the backside of every professional working Detroiter! The store captures your attention on so many levels, the clothes, the music, the passion layering a life style. It is an impressive labor of love! Stop in, make a purchase. Help support someone who loves this city enough to have made an investment in its future! The shirts are so soft, sexy!

What a absolutely gorgeous store. They have day lighted the original façade from the 1890s and it stunning. It gets even more stunning inside. A huge and I mean huge chandelier greets you as you enter and your eyes begin to wander from there, to the grand piano. Very nice displays of clothing, shoes and accessories. Interspersed amongst the clothing is vintage audio equipment and in the background is some really good tunes playing. Upstairs is more vintage audio, guitars, amps, and a small but very good and impressive vinyl section, personally picked up Miles Davis Bitches Brew, and Led Zep Celebration Day. Great to see this store open. GOVISIT them!
