Went there and they were closed… like as in closed forever

Excellent bagel sandwich and the coffee is not too shabby either. Walking distance from my place downtown so I am content with making this my morning stop.

Ridiculously cheap breakfast sandwiches, solid internet, lots of sitting space. Big fan.

Ordered a non-fat mocha and a chicken pesto sandwich. Both were very good. Sandwich was quite a bit better than expected! Service was fast and friendly. From the menu it looks like they also serve wine and beer. No one else was in there when I went today and they never really seem to be that busy when I visit. Hopefully they do enough business to stick around as they are a good addition to downtown!

I’ve been here a few times for an early breakfast. The service can be a little slow. However they are making everything fresh for you; this isn’t Starbucks where everything is pre-made. My only complaint was my chai was not all the way full, it was like 60−70% full, not nearly enough for them to use the«we left you headroom» excuse. Otherwise a very nice place with very good food.

Best cup of coffee downtown. Reasonable prices, no fancy drinks just coffee or espresso hot or iced. They also serve alcohol too. The vibe is really relaxed and the staff is so nice.

Like the earlier review, I don’t know why this place has low ratings. I absolutely love this place as it serves illy coffee, which is my favorite. I always get the iced coffee or iced americano and it is only $ 2.50 for a decent sized cup. They also have stamp cards and double stamps on weekends! It’s conveniently located downtown right across from the opera house, really nice and chill inside, and they have bagels, muffins, sandwiches, and other lunch items. Great spot, I would definitely come here to do work or just hang out and read a book. Check it out! Don’t listen to the other reviews.

Don’t know why this place has 2 star reviews. The ambiance is great, the baristas are happy, espresso drinks are good, and prices are very affordable(wraps, sandwiches for $ 5). Great for a quick lunch gran and go. Also has good wifi if you want to stay and work for a bit

I will not be back. Very slow… despite the fact that I was the only one there. I ordered a featured sandwich… which the clerk recommended… but then she told me they were out of 2 of the main ingredients. I ordered something else which was mediocre at best.

Coffee is great, food options are presented in a nice way. But you better have an extra 20 minutes if there’s one person in front of you, and plan on waiting at least 10 min if you’re the only one in the entire coffee shop. Also, I get it’s a holiday weekend. But for the last two days they haven’t opened on time, and I can see all the employees in there. Would it kill them to post a hand written sign on the door with holiday hours? I only stop in this place because it’s the only coffee place on my way to work, otherwise I’d avoid it all together.

Love illy coffee! I use to stop by here and talk with the staff when they first opened… but now they changed the staff and management and it has a cold vibe to it. Over it

This place is brand new, so my review is based on a limited experience, but overall I’ll say that it is great to have a new coffee shop in the neighborhood! Located on the ground floor of the Madison Building(a Dan Gilbert building home to Twitter, Google, etc) and a stone’s throw away from Comerica Park, this place is ground-zero for the downtown revitalization effort. They currently are only offering coffee and limited cold food(pre made sandwiches, greek yogurt, store bought bagels), but they have secured a liquor license and will be serving beer and wine in the near future(which is important so close to Comerica!). The interior is sleek with marble countertops, modern furniture, and illy products everywhere. Sidewalk seating is excellent, with flowers encased in concrete rectangular pots to match the urban setting. This place has potential, but they will need to work on food selection and get the liquor license sorted out to be 4 or 5 star material!
