The food and location of this restaurant are excellent. We had crab cakes to start with which were perfect, surf and turf filet was cooked perfectly, and to finish the bread pudding was incredible. Great service — will definitely return next time we’re in Destin!

Our server Keith was amazing, super polite & attentive. We had the blackened scallops, oysters lagniappe, pecan grouper and Bayou grouper. All were amazing, super fresh. The key lime pie is SO creamy and delicious, can’t be beat!

This was an amazing experience! My husband and I highly recommend it! Our waiter Will was the best, the scallops the most succulent ever, and the grouper was superb. Defiantly one to add to our favorites list!

Really liked this place a lot! Saw reviews on Unilocal and definitely followed up. We were seated outside by request to an amazing view of the harbor. We went with the lobster Rangoon as an app which were amazing! We aren’t big eaters so we split the Grouper Bayou(pan fried grouper with lump crab meat and shrimp and a side double baked potato. There was a small up charge on the split but well worth it since we each got a salad and baked potato with our half portions. More than enough food even had to take the potatoes home since complimentary hush puppies were served prior to meal. Great restaurant atmosphere! Service was very professional and friendly. Will definitely have to try again!

Service was great and the view is beautiful if you sit outside or near the window. Unfortunately, the food is sub-par. This place is like most other Destin restaurants, which all have similar dishes that taste the exact same. The hush puppies were really yummy(they bring these out instead of bread before the meal), but then we got the corn and crab bisque which was fresh, but sort of bland. We also ordered the blackened scallops and they seemed over-blackened. I got the shrimp and grits which were runny but tasted good — again, no better than anywhere else in Destin. My husband got the blackened(that’s how it’s presented on the menu) redfish after craving redfish all week. The presentation was very ugly, with the filet actually seeming either be two or three end pieces from other fish or it had fallen apart and they attempted to piece it back together and cover it with crab meat and lobster(lobster was overlooked). It was also dry dry dry. Overall, if we go back we’ll stick with hush puppies and the twice baked potatoes they serve with every entrée and skip everything else. :)

Everything was really good. We did have one waiter who tried to steal our table from our waitress, which was weird, but all-in-all well worth it and a very nice experience.

A visit to Louisiana Lagniappe is a tradition for our Destin vacation. As usual, they did not disappoint. Sitting outside watching the boats and hoping to see dock cat is laid back and comfortable. Though the place is white table cloth level, you can feel unintimidated in resort casual. The food is always amazing. My shrimp and grits were full of flavor with a perfect level of heat. Always a treat!

We sat on the deck last Saturday night and enjoyed a great view along with Great Food! I forget the name of my dish, but it was soft shell crab covering a delicious piece of Red Fish. My wife had a generous serving of fried crab claws, very meaty. Been a while since I had eaten here since I live here with all the great eating available, I will make it a point to get them back into a quicker rotation.

Very welcoming. Seated quickly great server. Our beverages never got more then half full. A server was right on top of that service. We started with OYSTERSLAGNIAPPE and it was very good. I don’t think I’ve ever tasted hush puppies as good as these. The house salad was disappointing. Tasty dressing but nothing but greens. I had the blackened redfish and it was superb and so were. The twice baked potatoes. My beautiful bride had Crescent City Fettucinne and it was superb. Plated presentation was very attractive and appetizing. If it weren’t for the house. Salad they’d be a 5. Highly recommended. A true find.

One of my favorite all time seafood restraunts! This place has it all. The location is inside the sandpiper cove community, so it’s a hidden gem. If you can sit outside on the dock and watch the sun go down while eating. They have a couple cats out here too that hang around. Very nice atmosphere, friendly service and some real good food. If you love soft shell crab this is the place to get it. I always get the fried seafood platter which has a fried softshell crab on it. Rarely does a restraunt just stick in my mind like this one does. I have never been disappointed with any aspect of the service. It’s so good. This year we rented a condo in sandpiper cove so we would be closer to it! If you don’t like vinegary salads you may want to opt for a different one as this is the standard salad.

My girlfriend and I wanted to go out on a nice date night since I had just graduated from college and we hadn’t been able to get out together in a while. My family and I always enjoy coming here to Louisiana Lagniappe, so I knew it wouldn’t disappoint. Our server was Kyle, who, even though my girlfriend and I are younger(21), didn’t serve us any differently and was very attentive. Kyle did a fantastic job. The food is always just as great as the service. We got the lobster rangoons as our appetizer; delicious. I got the crescent city linguine pasta(never fails) with the twice baked potato. My girlfriend got the grouper almondine. It was great, though seemed a little soggy on the bottom probably from the lemon butter sauce. Definitely think the dish would taste a little better if more crispy. Everything was very good, and even though we didn’t have a great view of the water, the atmosphere is always amazing. We may not have had a great view of the water, but I had the best view of the night. Thanks Louisiana Lagniappe, we’ll definitely be back!

Love this place! Only reason for Mark down is they used to be open at lunch time, now they don’t open until 5. I can see them doing that during the winter months but spring and summer should be open for lunch since its a tourist area in my opinion. Great food and great service otherwise

Menu Is definitely on par with the best here in Destin. Many offerings for the Louisiana entrée and looking forward to the Pecan crusted grouper for Kris and the blackened Redfish for myself Servers are excellent and attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu and drinks. Our server did an excellent job with us this last evening in out paradise Started with the house salad and opted to top with fried crawfish and a dijon mustard sauce. Wow I Totally recommend this option and Kris loved it as well which is a nice surprise! Kris 10⁄10 for here Pecan Crusted Grouper. In her words the best piece of fish you have ever had. The combination of the sweet and salty from the pecans complements the fish extremely well! The Creole stuffed baked potato in her words are it is just«wrong» in a food way! Never had Redfish until now. This will be in my fish to seek out in he future and this entrée raised the bar to an exceptional mark. Blackened was perfect and did not overwhelm the fish as did the Snapper at LuLu’s. This was perfect and the lump crab meat and hollandaise sauce on top made the perfect bite! The hush puppies never had them so light and fluffy. This must be the way they are supposed to be prepared because these were so tasty! All and all an excellent place to come for dinner and to close out a vacation! I rarely give 5 stars to any property but this evening deserved it very much!

Not impressed at all. The hush puppies were greasy, flavorless, and not worth the calories. The gumbo was good. The redfish had sat under a heat lamp too long and wasn’t good. The fish was mushy, the lobster topping tough. My wife had the shrimp and grits… nothing special about that. Very surprised to see the restaurant is rated as high as it is.

Great food, service and views! We walked in around 8:30pm with two young kids on a Monday night and I was a little worried it might be too fancy for the four of us, but it was quite the opposite. We sat outside and the boys watched a heron wade around in search of his own dinner — great entertainment. Our server was helpful, friendly and overall provided great service(Thanks Gary!). Kids enjoyed their kids meals and my husband and I enjoyed ours as well. I had the soft shell crab entrée which was rich, but one of those things you won’t have very often so why not splurge on it. Hubs had the seafood platter and the kids enjoyed trying lots of his meal too. Overall, would definitely recommend.

A little pricey for what you get. Also the restaurant is in a condo complex… odd…not real easy to find. for two you are looking at $ 80-$ 100. I would not recommend, I mean the food was decent, but just to go eat supper, it’s pricey… maybe better fit for an occasion dinner. really cannot recommend.

I am a local who knows seafood. I wanted to try this place and the opportunity came up today. I ordered the stuffed shrimp. The chef should be fired. The very small shrimp had a ball of bread dough attached to the end of a very dry overcooked shrimp. Shrimp should be succulent… not chewy like a pencil eraser. Only one dough ball had a small piece of shrimp mixed in. The veggie was a cold mixture of corn and bell peppers. How sad the only thing good about my visit was the salad, the view and our waiter, Bob. If anyone wants good seafood go elsewhere for stuffed shrimp. This was horrible! What a waste of money

After checking the reviews I had to try it. The food, service, ambiance, drinks, KEYLIMEPIE was all great. It was most definitely worth the price. If you want a great waiter then ask for Bob even though he’s a Cubs fan he’s one of the best. He has been working there for 20+ years. Would highly recommend to everyone to go ASAP and will go back very soon.

There were three in our party so we sat at the bar. Trez was our bartender/server and he was fantastic all around. He had an awesome suggestion for dinner and always kept our drinks full. Great service! The special of the night was grouper with lobster and shrimp in a fantastic sauce then baked to perfection! I wanted another because it was sooooo good! I also had the bread pudding for dessert. It was delicious! No too pricey for being a high quality place on the water. It was about $ 55 for me and $ 75 each for my friends — they had alcoholic beverages and I didn’t. Totally recommend if you’re in Destin.

This is a really nice place down at the end of the bay… It’s several levels above the typical seafood place, but it’s not stuffy or formal. It’s in a residential condo section, so it’s a bit odd to find. Worth it though… I can see the need for Valet parking which is available. I had Fresh Gulf Grouper, pan sautéed and topped with toasted pecans and meuniere sauce, and was well pleased with the meal. This well prepared and thought out meal was a cut above the typical seafood that you can eat here in Destin. The atmosphere was also a cut above. Quite a nice place to view the bay, see the boats, watch the sun go down… This really is a nice place to eat. Quite frankly it’s not but 10% more than a place that’s half as nice. I don’t see the point of eating in some place that’s just a few levels above a dive, with food that’s just not memorable, served by some guy in a tee shirt… you can have a really good meal here. Our waiter was very professional, easy to get along with, and reserved enough to let us carry on conversation without noticing him checking on us. That’s a good sign and something else that separates this place from the run-of-the-mill seafood restaurant in Destin. We ate outside to enjoy the view and the outstanding gulf breeze. The atmosphere indoors was also quite nice so it was a toss up. If the day is nice go for outdoor seating.
