Carmen and Sons Concrete

Worst job I’ve ever seen! Stay away! They did work on my grandmothers house and did not live up to their word. They not only lead her on about the job and failed to complete it, but the job they did do was very uneven. They were extremely rude, even yelled at my grandmother when she pointed out their bad work and went even further as to ask me if my grandmother was crazy right in front of her because she insisted the job was terrible. Worst people I’ve ever met. Take your business elsewhere because they don’t deserve another penny.

I should’ve read Unilocal before I decided on Carmen. I should’ve gotten more estimates. They told me the cement would be the same color as my patio it was not. The cracks that they covered still show through the next day they came to resurface the next day and although it look better after a drive you could still see the cracks. Very dissatisfied find a professional that knows their cement

With spring comes fixing your concrete sidewalks, and if you are considering using Carmen and Sons Concrete DON’T !
If possible I would give this company 0 stars for their quality of work and customer service. It took them 5 days to do a job that should have taken one day and then they blamed me because they came when the weather was bad. Each time they came it rained (actually it poured as soon as they left). The concrete, of course was rained away. When I called they blamed the weather, but as a concrete company they should know not to work on days when it says rain. In fact I questioned them about this before they started and they said there would be no problem. When you call to complain they do not answer the phone and it takes many calls until they get back to you and then you get the runaround.

It is now March and the concrete is worse now than it was before they started the work. Please stay away from this company, I wish I had read the reviews before I went with them, but Dan, the salesman, sounded so sincere. They are total scam artists and I am considering taking them to small claims court.

Beware! They’re website shows a house as an example of a great concrete repair on the same street that we live on. We stopped by to ask the owner about this, and they said it was a total different company that performed the repair! With all the bad reviews on Unilocal,and the lawsuits, it’s a wonder they are still in business.

Warning! Stay away from this business! In July 2013 my father was quoted $ 1100 to fix their concrete patio with a 1 year warranty. They went ahead with the repair and almost immediately it started to chip and crack. 2 months later they came back to «redo» their work. Again, almost immediately it started to chip, but by then it was «too cold» to come back out. After 7 months of calling and leaving voicemails, i finally got through after using different phone numbers to call from. Lucy (a manager i suppose) now tells me that to come back on a GUARANTEED repair, we must pay 20%, and that they will not do anything about it. And now, the patio looks worse than before they touched it.
