I highly recommend to avoid this management company all together. If you travel for work Des Moines is a great area that’s only a 20.00 cab ride to the airport. However this management company is completely insensitive to the difficulties of maintaining your home life on the road.
I have been here for 2 years with no problems until this new management company stepped in. I was very unhappy with the lease they offered but wasn’t in a position to move because of my travels. They also separated the water, sewage, and trash from the rent into a separate bill. I thoroughly explained that I need a bill due date because of my flexible schedule and travels. I was told not to worry they would work with me.
I checked in with the office 3 separate times and got vague answers every time. I missed the bill and they want a 100.00 late fee. I protested because I foresaw this and went out of my way to avoid this. Now there is a hundred dollar late fee on top of the original.
I’m also a victim of a burglary in the past and am uncomfortable with people being in my home when I am not. Since this company took over they have been in my apartment twice a month on average. This is a corporate community that’s too petty to be reasonable. Unless you want to thoroughly read through your lease and have an attorney on hand I would suggest steering clear of pacific living properties. The Ragatta and Spinnaker Landing.
