Really delicious burgers, huge place, great customer service, simple parking. Can’t believe we haven’t gone back yet.

I always so want to have a good time when I go out to eat but I never am able to. The food here is the reason I gave it 3 stars. The food was good considering it’s a bar and how could you really screw up bar food. They have a lot of burgers in the menu(almost a full page so I would say about half of the menu in case u were wondering). I really wanted a burger but found that I probably would not be able to eat a half pound burger after me and my husband had split a order of chicken wings as an appetizer. I was disappointed to see that no where In there list of burgers did they offer a smaller size burger for say someone that knew they could not eat a half pound burger. After looking at the menu 3 times I had settled on the buffalo wrap. It was good, I am not to sure I liked the texture, what would have made it better would have been some homemade French fries In place of the homemade potato chips. While the chips were good they needed to be sliced about a half a number down on the slicer(anyone in the business will know what I am saying if they try the chips). The chips also needed more seasoning or maybe a sea salt. The meal was good however there was one issue with it and that was the price. I found it to be a little pricey for 2 chicken fingers, a little lettuce, crumbly blu, tom, hot sauce, and a flour tortilla is not really worth 10 dollars. But that being said the company I had was good and the wrap was pretty decent so the price was over looked. Now let’s get to the worst part of the night. The waitress was horrid. I have no idea where they found her but they need to put her back as quickly as they picked her up. I don’t know what her deal was but I have had better service at McDonalds at lunch time. She looked like your typical blonde and she sure as shit acted like it. I ASKED for a refill on my sprit(I never should have to ask for a refill), when I ordered it the first time I ordered it with lemon and lime on the side, so u think I would have gotten more on the side when she refilled the glass with more sprit right. Nope not at all but that’s not the best it took her 10 minutes to brin

A quintessential Irish-American pub circa the 70s set in a humble blue collar town. The décor, people, and fixtures(pub games, music, etc.) will make you feel this way. The food was good and fresh, but you have to expect it to be a little greasy(that’s just the type of food they serve). If you’re unsure of what to get try the Buffalo Sampler — housemade kettle chips, beef on weck slider, and wings. The service was great and the place was clean. The prices are fair. The beer selection could be better. They are a short ride to Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

No matter how many times I go to Magruders, they always have their stuff together. Not only are the bar tenders friendly and very fast at service, they’ve remembered my drink after one round. And that was just the beginning. The food is always on point and when I asked for a medium well burger that’s exactly what I got. The Chips that they make in house are sooooo good… I’m not sure who’s idea it was to put these on the menu, but they get a BRAVO! Ambiance isn’t something I would go here for but for a girls(or guys) night out or casual dinner, this place is great. They have a few dart boards, a juke box to play music on, which frequently has country on. They still do comedy here every first Friday of the month.

My stepdaughter’s rehearsal dinner was held at Magruder’s. It was a nice atmosphere. The food was good as was the service and we had a great time!

Pub food. Menu greatly paired down from what it was. Server was good. I had chicken fingers and it was good.

Upon entering I was very pleased with the cleanliness and atmosphere of the place. We had a coupon for buy one get one pitchers. There were multiple things wrong with the bill upon it’s arrival and the $ 17 pitchers were not one of them. I think the bartender was new. She got the manager when I inquired as to why I was not given the appropriate deal. The manager made the proper adjustments to the check. I wont go back because I think they were trying to bamboozle us after drinking for a couple hours, but it could be worth another shot.

There was nothing really bad about the place but a lot of little things were off. I ordered a draft beer. It was flat and old tasting. So next, I ordered bottled beer. It was only marginally cold. I ordered a Fish Fry. The fish itself was pretty good and I applaud them for serving real hand cut fries, but they were not served hot. The fries in particular were luke warm and the fish was warm enough to eat but not fresh hot like you usually get. The macaroni salad and cole slaw were store bought. Plus instead of a bread basket, the fish fry includes one slice of rye bread — cut in half. And the rye bread was stale. Then I had a coupon for $ 8 off and they only took $ 6 off. Before the bill came, I was thinking about trying this place one more time, but when they shorted me on the coupon, I simply made the choice not to return again.

Magruders is ok. Burgers are fair, regular pub food but with more variety. There in a corner of Lancaster and Depew with a wide variety of bar hop pub choices, it’s basically take your pick. Or do the Lancaster bar hop tour which is real if you search around for it. Decent place to go, make sure to check out the board for specials.

Fun local bar with a great atmosphere. I was suprised by the about of seating available here. While I’ve only been here twice for a late weeknight drink, the food selection looks good. Typical bar fare but also some frickles and clams if I recall correctly. I even met the owner, who seemed really nice as were all the staff. A place worth stopping in for.

This is why I love Unilocal… My gf and I were trying to decide where to eat… I was in a burger mood but did not know where I wanted to go… I ended up finding this place through my Unilocal phone app… I read the reviews, and searched the menu… I noticed that they had hand pressed burgers… So we decided to give it a try… Well I have to stay I was quite happy with the burger I got here… It wasn’t huge… Maybe around 1⁄3 pound? But it was delicious… I got the cheddar bbq bacon burger… The burger itself seemed of higher quality beef, and fresh… While I did not get any taste of seasoning it was charbroiled and cooked exactly how I asked… This burger also came with onion strings on it… Overall a very good burger… I would say that this may now be my go to place for burgers when I am in the depew area… It also came with what appeared to be hand cut fries… They were decent, maybe a tad undercooked… My gf got a turkey burger, and she said was so good she gave it a 5 out of 5… She also got coleslaw which I tried, and I was also very impressed here as well… It was very fresh, and crispy… It had a great taste with tones of horseradish… It was also very creamy… We went here on a monday night… We could not believe we were the only ones here… It was normal dinner time… the place was clean… And they also have a dining room which is separated from the bar by a wall and large window… this really cuts down on sound from the bar allowing you to have privacy, and a normal conversation… I’m giving this a solid 4 stars… Will be returning here for more delicious burgers…

This was my first experience at Magruders, which we were checking out because a friend of ours was playing in their bar area. We came in before his set to get dinner and albeit we were eating a little later than normal, the dining area was pretty empty so we were seated right away which is a bonus for a Friday night. Our waitress was very friendly and took our drink orders right away. I ordered their steak special for dinner which was small medalions of steak(honestly I’m not sure what cut it was or anything like that), resting on mushrooms and onions and served with homemade mashed potatoes. The dinner also came with soup and salad — not bad for 10.99! Two others in our party got fish fries and someone else ordered the chicken fajitas. My steak was great — cooked perfectly and juicy. The mashed potatoes were alright, but they didn’t wow me. They could have used some seasoning. I asked for my gravy on the side(something I’ve learned to do from previous bad gravy experiences) and I’m so glad that I did because if there was anything to really complain about it was the gravy! I tasted a little before deciding if I wanted it and it was like drinking flour! Gross! I would have been more pleased with a jar of regular ol’ heinz gravy if they didn’t know how to make gravy properly. :( I tried the fish and it was pretty good. The beer batter could have been a bit more crispy however, and I did not try the breaded fish that someone else had ordered. The chicken fajitas were decent though the chicken might have been a bit overcooked. Overall, our meal was decent. A few minor details but I can’t really complain. The bar area where the live music occurs was divey, but that’s a good thing in my opinion most of the time. They had a patio for smokers to utilize with an awning, which was nice since it was raining. Definitely had a family bar type of feel to it, and I would consider returning here… just no gravy next time. ;)

Here is how the conversation went between a bartender and myself. Me: Hi, what beers do you have? Her: We have 12. Me: Uh, what beers are those? Her: *nasty glare* So we sat down, since this was the only place to go for a beer within walking distance. We waited for the other bartender, and ordered from him. The prices were cheap, the game was on, and the ambiance was friendly with fun conversations to evesdrop in on. Admittedly, our first five minutes were bad, but after that it was a nice, albeit typical, bar.

Once you try the mashed potatoes you will never enjoy another recipe so much. The smell of the spice they put on the chicken is unusual, unique, and tastes just as good! This place is good for a snack at the bar, watching a game on the large TV, or a catered event in one of their rooms and is ready for small or larger sized parties. The manager, Debbie, is there for whatever you need. She works and she works hard with a smile.
