The burgers are phenomenal as well as much of their other menu items. Bartenders are all fun and great at what they do. Good luck to anyone who attempts the Big Bang Burger challenge!

Huge portions and good prices. Best thing I’ve ever had was a fried chicken sandwich that was apparently a one-time only special and is not on the menu. The burgers are humongous but lack any real seasoning, it starts to become a challenge to get it all down. The fries are also a ridiculously huge portion but are fresh cut, homemade, and absolutely fantastic. The main drawbacks are that there is usually only one girl to do three different jobs(hostess, bartender, and waitress) so food doesn’t always come out in a timely manner and drinks too often go without being refilled. There are also a few local drunks that can get a little rowdy from time to time that they need to clear out of there. If they staffed this place a little better it would definitely help the overall experience. All in all if you want a lot of food for your money it’s worth a stop.

We came here(8) to eat before the Sabres game we were attending and had made reservations for a table in the back room. The back room is small but had a great table that could fit us. It is also much quieter than the large packed front bar area. The place has that«local dive bar«look and thats a total compliment. Its a great place looks wise and feeling wise– a step back into time for us old schoolers! The parking IS tight and tough so good luck on those extra busy nights. We started with 50 wings and they came out perfectly cooked as requested-well done– and the sauce was excellent and the mediums had just enough bite to sparkle up your mouth without burning it up– again just perfect and for 50 like that– thats not easy. We ordered a special sauce they have and then regular. Then the table ordered burgers which were huge and delicious and they piled on huge amount of delicious fries-those were the best fries I have ever tasted and they were big too. My wife had the french onion soup that she said was also delicious-one of the best shes had. The waitress was always with us checking for extra drinks and we drove her a bit nuts with pitchers of waters and drinks but she always handled with a smile and was awesome! We were visiting my daughter and her fiancé that come here often and wanted to give us a good taste of a local place and this was perfect. I would have ordered the beef on weck but decided that with so many wings I would rather help devour those and split a large burger with my wife. The table next to uis had fish and chips and man were those pieces of fish HUGE! We were very impressed with the food and service and ambiance of a great local establishment where you felt welcomed and part of the neighborhood. The front bar area was hopping busy and you could see and hear Good Tymes were being had by all. Will be sure to mark this as place to go whenever up to visit and make a point to save some room for a beef on weck!

Honestly I’m super disappointed with the fact I can only give this restaurant only 2 stars and that may be generous quite honestly. so me and my fiancé called for take out and the lady on the phone was rude but I just though it was due to her being busy which is understandable she advised me the price and told me twenty minutes. We both ordered I think it was called the big daddy burger and we split the pizza logs which we were under the impression by photos would be huge and full… Sadly disappointed but will get to that. When we got there from our house it’s about a 20 minute drive so it’s not short ride I walked in and it was weird the bartender or whatever was standing in the corner with three guys and they were all staring at me like they were expecting me and smiling, and not the smile like hello it was more like look at this asshole picking up his food it was weird trust me then the bartender who I can only imagine is the one I spoke to over the phone told me a different price by 3 dollars and when I explained this she just brushed it off and said it was the price and that they charge .75 cents for any take out item per item not per order which is stupid to me. I said whatever so I paid the 30 dollars and walked out drive home and was extremely excited to get into this meal just from what it looked like It was making me hungry so I started eating it and I was immediately disappointed. It tasted like a greasy mess with old meat and stuffed cheese I was disappointed to say the least there was chunks of hard stuff in the meat I have no idea what that was but u can imagine it was pieces of bone maybe?. The fry’s on the other hand were amazing to me they were hand cut from what I can tell and fried perfect I honestly would go back just for the fries. Overall I was very excited to try this place but I was let down by looks. It looked amazing but I feel like we were screwed out of a good meal. I know this place has what it takes to make an amazing burger if they only used better meat I don’t even care about the over greasyness that actually probably made it a little bit better, but I will not over look bad meat with chunk of bone from what I can imagine in it and as for the bartender. Honestly goes a long way!!! We eat out pretty much every single day so we would be a good customer if you had not lied in saying all this I will give this place another try because I think we just had bad luck… Optimistic probably

Randomly went to eat here the other night with a friend. Decided on it because it is listed under«gastropubs,» but it was far from one. Their beer selection was actually pretty limited. Dining room was kind of dirty, but the food coming from the kitchen looked great. HUGE portions. I had a fish fry and the thing was the size of my forearm. Burgers also looked ginormous.

Only came here for a pick up order so I can’t say much for the entire eat in experience quite yet so that may sway my opinion of this place in the future. My fiancé and I ordered two orders of the Big Daddy burger and then an order of pizza logs. The total was given to us over the phone, which ended up costing more when we arrived to pick up our order. And to my surprise and unknown to our knowledge since they failed to mention. They charge $ 0.75PERITEM for take out… And they aren’t even delivering it so not only do I waste my gas driving here, I pretty much paid $ 2.25 for the foam containers and plastic bag. Ridiculous if you ask me. At Least charge me one to-go fee, not 3 because I have 3 items in my order. You just lost my take out business for that. I hate nothing more than hidden charges and coming across my bill being increased from what I was told prior to pick up and what I’m told when I hand over my credit card. I gotta say the amount of fries and size of the burger and pizza logs were huge. The fries were very tasty and freshly cut but a little too greasy to eat after so much. Same with the burger, after a certain point the burger stopped tasting good and it became hard to stomach it. Something about the beef just didn’t taste all that great to me. Especially heating up leftovers… It was even worse. The pizza logs were nothing special, just cheese and pepperoni… Taste like the rest of pizza logs I order elsewhere. They looked big but when you bite into them only half of it is actually filled and the rest is just grease and air pockets. Not to mention for these 3 huge sized pizza logs you get a tiny cup of marinara sauce that is filled only halfway. I was afraid to ask for another since they’d probably ask me to pay what I could buy a whole jar for since apparently it would be cost of that plus another to go fee — So we stopped at Tops and grabbed a jar of marinara ourselves. I’m optimistic to try another burger again or maybe wings or other menu item, but it will most definitely be eat in and I’ll hopefully be able to leave with my leftovers without an extra fee(and hopefully there isn’t a hidden dine in fee either!!)

This is a bar restaurant in the Depew area right off of Broadway which we had dinner at one a Tuesday night. The beer selection is basic, so if you like craft beers, this not the place for you. We ate at the bar with 1 other couple but it seemed like the service was still pretty slow. We started off with the pizza rolls which were massive. It comes with three supersized rolls but only one 3 oz. Marinara sauce(we had to ask for an extra one). The rolls were good, better than I expected. I had the blackened burger and my friend got the chicken sandwich special. My burger seemed much more salty than needed but the meat was cooked perfectly. My friend mentioned that his chicken could have been seasoned more but the sandwich was still pretty good. This place only gets 3 stars for service, parking lot layout is tight and our pizza rolls were the best things about the meal.

I found our lunch there to be highly disappointing . We went this past Wednesday and noticed the heat first, and the noise second. Wednesday was the hottest day we had yet and apparently they have no air conditioning. And the noise was from several older people who started drinking very early from they way they behaved. Service was non-existent. There was no wait staff, only the bartender, and we were not her priority. The wait time for a beverage and food was ridiculous. And when the food came, it too was dissapointing. I had the roast beef and he had the burger. Both sandwiches top bun had been burned and never should have been served. The roast beef would have been nice if not over-cooked and the burger was bland, better burgers at Rally’s. The only time we saw the bartender again was for the bill. The worst part was we had been excited about going based on all the reviews at three different sites. I guess it must be a neighborhood crowd kind of place. I know we would never go again.

This place has HUGE delicious burgers. Their fries are very large and yummy too. If its busy, you will wait a little while for your food which is understandable, but if you are looking for a big portions restaurant, this is it. There is a bar area and outside seating. Try it!

We came to this place as a recommendation from my mother who is a native of Buffalo. It was late on a Sunday night as we pulled into the parking lot. The outward appearance scared us at first thinking this was a local«gin mill»! we proceeded in the door not knowing what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by the courteous and friendly staff they greeted us and help us find a table to our liking. The menu is simple and our expectations were too. We came for Buffalo classics as we live in Cincinnati Ohio. Our waitress Marta was a sweet gym that explained the menu to us and help us decide. Also the manager Jason went out of his way to make sure that everything was perfect for us!!! Now down to the real thing… Food! We ordered Beef on Weck & the pizza and the wings special. After spending several days in Buffalo in trying out several restaurants the wings and the pizza were better than some of the other big-name places. This place superseded your expectations and Will be the first place we visit when returning to Buffalo. The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic! People were singing old songs and enjoying the good old times. We had so much fun listening and partaking with the fun! Jason and Marta deserve recognition for this great experience. High-quality food… inexpensive … excellent service with fun people … what more could you ask for??? We can’t wait to return.

This«Gastropub»(I f***ing hate that f***ing word) reminds me of every girlfriend I’ve ever had. Because, I mean, well, think about it. Many«Good Tymes» were had in the«South» of my girlfriends. Not to say that Good Tymes were never had up North. I mean who doesn’t like a good make out session, amirite? But there are no good tymes quite like Good Tymes South. With that said, I didn’t come here to meet girlfriends. Nor to meet FWBs, BFFs or DTF girls. I came here to meet… meat. What to get: «Big» burgers. What else: amazing daily specials, medium wings. So the Buffalo CM(no idea why he still talks to me when I write obscene reviews for the best businesses in town) invited me. I think he came to tell me that I was being dishonourably discharged from Buffalo, permanently. By bringing me to Depew, he was halfway to getting rid of me, after all, Depew is kind of out there(in more ways than one). Look at a map: a person in Depew is halfway from Buffalo to Roanoke, Virginia. If you don’t believe me, go load up the new and infinitely slow update of Google Maps. Go. Do it. (Waits 4 or 5 minutes). You’re back? Haaaa. Made you look. Okay, on with the review. So, the CM(Alex L) told me GTS had great burgers. I was skeptical. After all, the kind of Good Tymes South that I’d had, never involved burger meat. A different type of meat, perhaps. However, he was right. GTS has some of the best burgers in the region. Big, juicy, hot, and they will fill you up. In that sense they’re exactly like me. So tasty, so good. They’re literally dripping, gushing with hot meat juice. They’re so wet that they fit perfectly with the concept of having Good Tymes down South. Every burger is named the«Big Something» because, well, if you’re having Good Tymes down South, it’s probably with something big, right? I got the Big Hurt, which is a bunch of different peppers on a burger, and it was absolutely delicious. Not too fiery(nor too Fieri, sorry Guy), it was just right. When you’re having Good Tymes down South you want it to Hurt, and you want it to be Big, but you don’t want it to be excruciating. It wasn’t. Nor do you want Guy Fieri involved. He wasn’t. It was just Big and it Hurt exactly as advertised. I’m DTF this burger(Desperate To Finish). I want to FWB this burger(Finish Whole Burger). I want to DVDA this burger(Devour Very Delicious Awesomeness). This burger makes me animalistic, I feel like a Doggie when I tear into it. I wasn’t the first Unilocaler to try it(the Missionary, if you will), but I loved it. I didn’t have just one bite, I had multiples. I finished every last bit. There are several other burgers I’d try. The previous visit, Alex had some«strange meat» burgers like Elk and Camel. Not my thing, but if you’re into it, maybe you can get a regular burger for your main, and then a Camel burger for desert. Get it. Desert.(Hides). I’ve also had the wings, they were juicy and delicious. Prices: awesome. At ABV and Griffon, similar fancy burgers are well over 10 or even 15. However here, they’re *all* solidly under $ 10, notwithstanding the«Big Deuce» which is a double burger. Also, excellent service, and for a «dive bar», it’s pretty clean. Oh wait, I forgot, it’s a «Gastropub» blurgh bleeeurgrgrgrgghhh(pukes uncontrollably)(ruins décor of GTS with vomit)(is asked never to come back). Yeah seriously. Can we officially get the words«foodie», «gastropub», «hipster» and«incest» banned from use from now on, please? What do you mean, incest is out of place on that list? Incest is out of place anywhere, isn’t it? Look, incest just happens to be a word I never want to hear again, okay? Bad memories, okay? Why do you think I left a lovely place like England to come to the eternal blizzard of the spotless Buffalo? OK, TMI, moving swiftly on. Swiftly as in fast, not as in Taylor Swift. She can make the bad guys have good tymes not-down-south for a weekend. So hopefully this place will be here forever. And it won’t go down in flames. You can tell me when you eat here. If it was worth the $ 8. Got a long list of big burgers. This review says I’m insane. But I’ve got a big mouth baby. For Good Tymes down South. Buffalonians only want Good Tymes if they’re down South Don’t say I didn’t, say I didn’t use my mouth I’ll have to come back for specials. Look at their fb: See? All kinds of fantastic specials, updated daily. Always something fancy, be it a famous Pot Roast sandwich, a Chicken Gorgonzola sandwich, shaved Prime Rib, or Utica’s famous dish, Chicken Riggies. So much yum. I’m hoping that specials will be as delicious and affordable as the juicy burger was. This burger slides right into my top 5 burgers in WNY. And that is a very very hard spot to get into. Speaking of sliding right in, and getting into a coveted spot… would you like to have some Good Tymes? All you have to do is ask me to go down South. Then… it’s Go Tyme.

Really, really stellar burgers. There are two places in Buffalo that serve the most amazing burgers in the area: Grover’s in Amherst and Vizzi’s in Kemore. Good Tymes is pretty damn close, and they’re proof that all you have to do to run a successful restaurant is to do one thing and do it well. I hadn’t been there in at least four years, but nothing has changed and that’s good. I spent a lot of time there after they opened and there was definitely one ‘lost summer’ that can be chalked up to Good Tyme’s back in my drinking days. The décor is nice(real brick or brick façade, sports bar chic, raised tables) and they have a nice outdoor smoking patio that’s as big as their lounge. My buddy and I worked a long convention and took our out-of-town friend there for a quick bite. If you go to Good Tyme’s, just get a burger and you can’t go wrong. I’ve had almost every burger on their menu(from the ‘Big Hurt’ to the ‘Big Jack’) and they’re all good. Their burgers are not pre-packaged. They’re big…8 ounces which is well above par compared to the frozen bricks that most places stock. It was a few days before St. Patrick’s Day, so the bar crowd was loud and raucous. We were sitting in the bar area, so I can’t complain. If we wanted peace and quiet, we could have grabbed a seat in their dining area. I went with the ‘Big Jack’($ 8.99), two of their 8 oz. patties with a facsimile sauce comparable to a national chain’s signature sandwich that rhymes with Big Jack. This is the crazy part: The Big Jack is $ 8.99. It’s comprised of two 8 oz. patties. Every single burger on Good Tyme’s menu is ALSO $ 8.99. So when you order the Big Jack, you get a second 8 oz. patty for free! I don’t know how that works from a financial standpoint, I don’t care and I’m not complaining. I think that’s awesome, though. Every mammoth burger order comes with at least a pound of FRESH-cut french fries piled onto the plate. And say what you want about hamburgers, but their plating is classy and reminds me of a Food Network show. They spear a knife through each burger to keep it together and it’s a tiny touch that means something. Other meal orders of note include their Beef On Weck, tiny 6 wing orders for those who are bashful or those who aren’t complete gluttons(present party excluded) and their peanut butter pie($ 4 a slice), which is rich and velvety and filling. Good Tyme’s South is not an upscale steakhouse. It’s not a corner dive, either. It’s a good time with no pressure and it doesn’t try to be anything other than that. You can set your watch to their food, their cute waitresses and their boisterous regulars. Worth checking out if you’re on the Broadway Ave. Lancaster strip!

Good tymes, good burgers, good bar/restaurant! This was our first time and we’ll be back! Our group of 4 was quickly seated and promptly aided in our fight against hunger. Burgers of all sorts and sizes is their cup of tea. They offer a varying array of burgers at extremely reasonable(almost low) prices: I mean they are not dirt cheap but I feel they could charge more for the portions they provide. Buns are fresh baked and soft in all the right ways. Fries are good; more the flimsy potatoey type, but not saturated with grease either. The meat(burger, paddy, whatever you’d like to call it) cooked to your liking and delicious! Greasy, but the way I like ‘em.

Due to an unforeseen circumstance, we had to cancel our Thanksgiving dinner plans. I searched around and found out that Good Tymes was serving turkey dinners today. I ordered takeout dinners, only $ 9.99 each. The dinner was homemade, just like grandma used to make. No processed, pressed turkey slices. This turkey was carved right from the bird. This was the real deal. It didn’t include pie, I am sure that was an add-on but that’s fine, it was a great value and saved us a lot of headaches, and quite frankly, we could not have made it as good at home, and probably not this inexpensively. They still need to turn up the heat. It’s cold in there, but since I was taking out, no big deal this time.

For those on the journey for the most delicious burgers in all of B’lo; have you been to Good Tymes? Well, I finally had an opportunity to check it out yesterday and this neighborhood bar is a huge winner when it comes to burgers! I was immediately drawn to their special of the month: 3 sliders with Elk, Camel and Lamb meat. Yum, I’m a sucker for hard-to-find game meat. If you’re a fan of traditional beef, they have many iterations and varieties of burgers which are very reasonably priced. Everything from blackened burgers to bacon, to those stuffed with hot peppers and more — their burger menu is inspiring and averages $ 7 – 9 a pop. For the month of November, they are having a special with 10% off all burgers as well. Within about 10 – 15 minutes, the lamb, camel and elk burgers came out and were cooked medium rare to order(although more on the medium side). The buns were toasted, which was a nice touch and the sliders were constructed differently based on the meat. For instance, the camel slider was paired with a sweet fig spread, while the lamb simply had tomato, lettuce and a little bit of mayo(along with the elk). The sweet fig spread made sense for the camel burger since the taste of the meat is a bit more distinctive and gamey and paired well. What stood out to me throughout the entire meal was the freshness of the meat and the incredible fries. I think Mark is spot on when he says these might be some of the most delicious fries in all of Buffalo. My one remark is to perhaps season the meat a little bit more. A bit more pepper or even garlic infusion would have been appreciated because the meat didn’t seem to have much seasoning to my taste, however I much prefer the meat under-seasoned than over-seasoned or salted so just a mild gripe. The inside has some seats, a brick wall, a TV along the bar and service was friendly, quick and efficient. There is also a patio for the summer months. It’s worth it to plan a trip to Depew for these burgers. They were incredible!

Dining room is small, they have a patio during warm months! Full bar. Here it is. One of the biggest burgers in Lancaster! 10oz mammoth! Depending on the burger you choose(there are many), you get additional toppings! Roast beef, salami, pineapple, ham! Server with heaping portion of delicious French fries!!! Yea even the fries are good! All for under 9 bucks! What are you waiting for, stop in for a burger you’ll leave stuffed for sure!!!
