Quick and easy lunch place. No restrooms around so beware. The food is good, soups are fresh and hot. Saves you time and energy. Nice ambience.

The soups selection is generally pretty great. They switch it out almost daily to feature new selections. My only problem is the man that appears to the be the manager. He’s very aggressive and not very customer service oriented. When one arrives to the shop to look at the soup selection, he’ll ask if you’ve been there and if you’re ready to order(pretty standard). But when you tell him you’re still looking, he’ll just stand there and stare you down. Literally, like, not even blinking and his mouth hangs open. I’ve noticed him doing this to others so it’s not just me. It’s really uncomfortable. When I told him I didn’t see the soup I wanted, he seemed all put out… Really? Well, I’ll still eat there because the soup is amazing but I don’t like interacting with that man.

I left my purse on my chair and left after having a SUPER delicious veggie wrap for lunch during a VERY busy lunch rush due to the NABC(National bridge conference) that was being held at the Sheraton. I went downstairs to wait for the next tournament to start and realized i didn’t have my purse. First of all it was a coach crossbody model. Not a cheap bag. Secondly it had my wallet, phone and credit cards in it! Not to mention a few bucks in cash. I RAN back to Zoup which was now back to normal as the bridge crowd had all been fed and were happily sitting at tables in various rooms throughout the hotel where various tournaments were taking place. I frantically approached the table I’d sat at when having my lunch and my stomach dropped when I saw my purse was gone! I ran to the counter almost in tears and asked if someone had turned in a purse and the answer was music to my ears… YES! someone HAD turned it in! The owner told me that he’d looked through my checkbook and wallet to see if there was a phone number(there wasn’t and I’ve since remedied that!). He said he figured I’d be back so he put it away for me. I got my purse with everything intact. WHEW! THANKS to the person who turned it in and thanks to the staff at Zoup. You guys kept your cool through 10 days of mania and hungry bridge players. My food was great every time. Wish there was a Zoup in Boulder!

Soups are fantastic. I am from out of town and ate here a number of times, each and every soup I tasted was better than the next. Even during the busiest times, the lines move quickly and the staff was spectacular. Highly recommended for a great hearty meal!

We came here for lunch @ 11. I got my food at 12:18. The manager came by and said he had 3 employees call in and he apologized. He offered to buy lunch but then disappeared and was never to be seen again. What really made it frustrating is they started to make orders based on customers anger. Because we were quiet and not complaining our orders were skipped. Ridiculous. We tried asking about our food one more time and the manager said«do you care what meat you have on your sandwich?»… Yes! We’d like the sandwich we ordered. In any case, we had to leave the place and only part of our group got their food. Very unorganized. It was a terrible experience.

While at a conference in Denver, I needed a quick lunch place and Zoup hit the spot. I was encouraged to taste as many soups as I liked and ended up getting the turkey chili(mini) and the lentil soup(cup). I really wish they had a sampler menu where you could try 4 – 5 soups because I would have appreciated being able to really enjoy all of the soups, or at least most of them. The place is pretty no frills but perfect if you’re looking for a solid lunch that will hold you through the afternoon, appeal to your healthy side, and not break the bank. I might have to return tomorrow!

There is just something indescribable about Zoup. This is the only location I have been to because it is so close to my office — and I will note, surrounded by competition for soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, etc. Zoup however, is a complete stand-out. They have all the«musts» on lock. First — a wide variety of soup daily that speaks to all tastes(vegan, creamy, spicy, meaty, unique, bizarre, broth based, common, etc.,) — and the opportunity to sample as many as you want! All are definitely made fresh, and have ZERO canned, previously frozen, starchy filler, favors at all. I cannot stand a soup that looks or claims to be freshly made, and you can quickly taste pre-prepared ingredients(like frozen chopped vegetables), cheap or crappy broth, or so much cream and flour that the flavors are lost. Regardless of which soup you select, you can expect fresh, balanced flavors, and HOT! The Lobster Bisque is literally as good as you’ll get at any high-end restaurants; the chicken pot pie is so loaded with chicken and vegies it is almost a stew; and the chilled soups in summer are always crisp-chilled-delicious. Second — when they fill your cup, bowl, breadbowl, or whatever vessel you choose — it is filled to the top! No skimpy portion for the serving size selected here. It’s always filled to the rim, with Zoup! Second — breads. French, sourdough or multi-grain. ALL wholesome, warmed and outstanding. Butter it, eat it plain, drag it in your soup, drag it through salad dressing(see 3 next), save it for later. Don’t waste it, or neglect it. Whatever you do, it is delicious. Third — salads.(Truthfully, I would call this place«Zoup and Zalad.») I have had them all, and they are all fresh, freshly made, ample, and the dressings I could drink from a soup bowl itself! I seriously have the Lemon Caper Tuna Salad twice a week, at least. The balsamic dressing coupled with the herbs and lemon in the tuna salad is a taste explosion. Each salad, whether whole or half, has a HUGE scoop of tuna salad on the greens, and is perfectly chilled and chopped, and just outstanding! I have tried a few sandwiches and have never been disappointed. Fresh wholesome ingredients, and they don’t feel the need to add fancy sauces, smears, combinations, dressings, because the ingredient combinations speak for themselves. Yep, it gets crowded because, yep, it is in a small spot. Yep, the line gets long, which adds to the crowding — especially when there is a conference in town. Yep, sometimes it seems like it is slow waiting for your name to be called for your bag or tray of heaven. Yep, it can be slightly pricier than other places in the area with seeming, similar lunches. Yep, sometimes a table or two needs to be bussed, and it is SUPER frustrating when people are lingering around on their phones, while you are trying to get a drink or napkin. In my view, for the rare occasions that occurs — suck it up — like the soup. It is SO worth it.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars. Not only is the soup INCREDIBLE but the staff is extraordinary when it comes to customer service. The owner of this particular Zoup is so kind to his customers and so is the staff. I lost a ring there today and the staff here and the owner looked through the huge trash can and FOUNDMYRING! What trustworthy and hard working staff they have. And the soup is amazing(I thought of writing a great review even before is misplaced my ring)!!! HIGHLYRECOMMEND.

Under new management and it’s an awesome lunch spot. I’ve sampled a lot of the menu and I’m very satisfied with the quality and pricing of their menu. Please give them a try if you’re in the area.

Absolutely amazing grilled cheese sandwich. Also if you get soup you cannot turn down at least trying the crab bisque. It is so amazing. I also really like the chicken and dumplings soup goes great with the bread that the meal comes with.

Had soup and salad for lunch. Not bad for a quick meal. The soups are great. However the salads are prepackaged and they were not very good. I could not finish it.

I’m surprised at the low reviews for this restaurant. I was in the area and needed to grab a quick lunch. I had the lobster bisque and a Greek salad(soup & salad combo for about $ 9). The salad was fresh and the soup was hot and DELICIOUS. They also have a frequent purchase punch card, so a little incentive to pay them another visit. They were a little slow for the lunch crunch, but I will definitely visit them again for a quick and reasonably priced lunch.

Good place for lunch only. If you are looking for lunch while you’re downtown this is the place to go to. They have a lot of different kinds of soup to provide. This is my first time here but the guy who works here told me they rotate the soups daily or weekly… I can’t remember which. The lunch combo is affordable and that way you get to try two different things off the menu. Enough to fuel you for the rest of the day. I wouldn’t say they are anything spectacular but they provide quality food and have something for everyone. Nice place to come in if you’re alone or in a group of four. Clean place to eat and friendly staff. Overall I’m happy with my first time experience.

I love soup. Ok, I really love soup. That said, Zoup is my go-to for my soup fix. Best soups: chicken pot pie and lobster bisque. Location: downtown Positives: staff were friendly-this was around 1830 on a Tuesday, bread is warmed in the oven prior to serving, soup selection Negatives: ran out of sampling cups, tables could have been cleaner, parking during peak office hours is irritating Overall, I like Zoup for the soup fix!

The main reason I go to this restaurant is because it’s within a 5 minute walk from my office and sometimes I crave soup(as a lot of people do when it’s cold I’m sure). The value is the reason this place gets 3 stars. The soup is very good quality(try the Shrimp Bisque, I practically licked the bowl it was so good) but the sandwiches are mediocre at best, and today I bought a «combo» which was a cup of soup and half a turkey sandwich and my bill was almost $ 10. It is definitely more expensive than Panera, Corner Bakery Café, etc. . If you go, go for a cup of soup and skip everything else. Pricey, and not worth it!

The service is plain terrible. I have been here twice. Both times I got a bowl of soup that is ready in a pot, and yet it takes them forever to give you your order! And the soups taste, well tasteless! Do not waste your time here. Walk across less than 2 mins to the food court for more variety of flavorful food and better service, for less price.

Reliable and affordable. I hit this spot up for lunch about 2 – 6 times a month. The salads and soups are good, depending on your tastes. I like the asian salad and chicken caesar. The soups, you can taste em first, so I don’t understand the criticisms of other reviews. I like their chilis, typically. During the summer they have a buy 8, get one free punch card. A half salad usually is more than enough for me. I don’t want bread, plasticware, napkins or a bag with my to go orders. This is a difficult concept for staff to understand for some reason. Some are cool, others don’t get that I think it is wasteful and try to give it to me anyway. It is almost always crowded(and therefore slower) during the typical lunch hour, go early or late and save your time.

Disappointed doesn’t even begin to explain my thoughts right now! I am currently staying at The Sheraton in downtown Denver and thought«Oh my, Zoup? Sounds perfect!» So I call to order the 4-Cheese Grilled Cheese and the Lobster Bisque. NEVER. AGAIN. The Lobster Bisque tastes EXACTLY like any creamy/cheesy Campbell’s canned soup. Yes, there was IMITATION lobster(and quite a bit of it), but the chunks separated into mush once in my mouth! I will say they fill the soup cup to the top! Then the Sandwich. I specifically said on the phone just how much I LOVE cheese. Look at the pictures. This IS a grilled cheese in regard to grilled bread and melted cheese, but that’s it. The majority of this sandwich was bread! AND this«Soup, Salad & Sandwich» shop doesn’t even have pickles! An honorable mention for this not-even-close-to-good-experience: On the phone I asked for my total, but respectively, he couldn’t say because the shop was not quite open … but, he COULD have estimated! I went in thinking $ 10 at tops for a small cup of soup and grilled cheese(no meat or garnish), right? I paid $ 15 for absolute crap! Not to mention, the soup comes with a «big hunk of bread» as I think they call it… Since I got a sandwich, I told them to hold the bread for my soup. So I paid for a cheese sandwich and received BREAD. Then I paid for Soup & Bread and got canned soup. I should have just requested them to use the side of bread from my soup for my sandwich and then just charged me for the four small pieces of cheese! What a joke.
