Panera Bread

I tried this place today because Heidi’s on 17^th St was being remodeled — it was a bad decision. Sandwiches are paper thin, tasteless and overpriced. I noticed there was no line at 11:15 — a good indicator that people are going elsewhere to get better quality for the price (a 7 – 11 hot dog would be a better choice). Good thing Heidi’s reopens on June 6^th.

Highly disappointed in the breakfast management at this location. I order regularly as they are next to my office and I really love so many of the menu items. Unfortunately, my breakfast experiences the last 5 times I have gone in have been so disappointing that I am going to start considering other options first. One of the menu items I love so much are the breakfast soufflés. The last 5 times I have gone in, there has been nothing but one single spinach mushroom soufflé (mushrooms are the one I can’t eat.). I understand they are a popular item and they will run out, but why aren’t they managing the amounts closer? 5 times in a row the wait is 10 – 15 minutes for the next round of soufflés. Please, please, please manage this better! Plan ahead and put more in BEFORE they run out. It’s not that hard. I will continue to walk out if they aren’t there or ready in less than 3 min. At some point I will just stop trying…
** Let me add that this is at 8 am!!! Prime breakfast time. There is no excuse for being out of your popular items for such long stretches during prime hours.

So the food is typical Panera food. Which at times tastes pretty good. The soups are good.
The staff — well, maybe because its on 16^th Street Mall, but their staff is allowed to hang out wherever in the restaurant with and without their friends, eating and being rather loud. Everyone deserves a break but there’s something about how they seem to run the place that doesn’t help the environment in the afternoon. Don’t try to work there in the afternoons on your laptop — the staff is all over.

How about everyone calm down, or as I tell my 5 year old when she complains like that «just take a breath», and enjoy a nice meal in a quiet environment and be glad food this good for you is available so close to you. And if you still want to complain, then go home and cook a meal for yourself. It’s becoming a lost art anyway.

I like Panera. And this location is prime. So I go here. But the WiFi is seriously terrible. It’s 2015, how is this a problem?

I was so happy to finally have a location downtown. Don’t get me wrong the food was great and up to the Panera standards. I was just unhappy when it’s advertised online open till 9PM and we get there and it was closed at 7:30PM.

This just is not the place for me. I get far too hungry afterward. Now, it is great for your metabolism to eat many times per day as this size of meal condones, but I would want to pay far less for that much food. Seems counterintuitive that I pay more money just to have someone regulate how much I eat. For this price, I would come for lunch and have the option to come back a few hour later when I’m starving again and get the other half of my sandwich…

So disappointed. Paid $ 8 for a whole chicken salad sandwhich, left and opened it when I got home, it was only a half. Bit into the tiny bit of chicken salad that was on it and got a bone. I worked at Panera last year and I KNOW I would’ve gotten in trouble for that kind of service. Not happy

Working in LoDo, I am very excited to have a new lunch option downtown. I visited this Panera location today for the first time.
Upon walking in, the restaurant was clean and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and took the time to explain some of the questions I had about the menu.
The food was made promptly, and was made with fresh ingredients. I will most definitely be back!
