Came here with a bad head cold. So glad I did. Chicken in a pot was literally a pot of chicken soup(nice fresh veggies) and a half chicken in it. Did the trick — the warm broth made me feel better. Been back several times — for brunch and lunch. Never disappoints.

I have been searching Denver for years for the perfect Club Sandwich. Here it is

Went in for a late lunch(1:30 pm.) on a Wednesday. There were very few customers in the restaurant. The first thing we noticed was that the floor was filthy. When we sat down in the booth, we sunk down. Badly in need of new springs. The booths had no finish left… all of the wood looked worn off. I ordered the #4 combination… corned beef and chopped liver. The waitress suggested I have it grilled, as she said it was better that way. The sandwich came with either cole slaw, potato salad, french fries or chips. I ordered the french fries. When the sandwich came, it had the chopped liver(which was very good) and the corned beef was difficult to find. It was a very tiny portion of corned beef. The corned beef had a grey like color to it. The french fries were very very limp. It came without a pickle, so I asked the waitress if the sandwich came with a pickle. She said no, but I can bring you one. She brought a small dish of a few pickle ends, not the whole pickle. Hubby ordered a corned beef sandwich. He dropped his black cloth napkin on the floor, and asked the the man who was busing the tables for another napkin. He unrolled the new napkin and it was filthy… full of dried mustard! He then got up and retrieved a new napkin from another table. It’s cleanliness left a lot to be desired. His said his corned beef had a mealy texture to it, and it also had the same strange color as my couple of pieces of corned beef had. He ordered potato salad and it was a small bowl of large quartered potatoes, with a little mayo. Needless to say, we gave Zaidys an NTR… Never To Return!

I’ve eaten here 2x in two days and am a happy camper. I’ve searched long and hard for a good deli like this in Chicago and none exist other than The Bagel which is very subpar. The lox on a bagel is really all I’m looking for and its amazing to me how many places don’t do this or somehow botch it completely. My husband and I were talking about this place like it will become our Tom’s Diner from Seinfeld. Plan on coming here regularly.

No stars would be a great option here. I can’t rate the food because we didn’t even get that far. Walked in the door and no one acknowledged us. Tried to flag down waitstaff but they were too frazzled. The older gentleman running the stand didn’t even look up while we tried to figure out if we had to order at the counter or seat ourselves. Enter an older couple. They walked around us and even after the woman said«I think they were here before us.» He gave them the secret handshake and hug then grabbed their menus and walked on. Mic drop. We walked out. If you like what looked like bland old food served from a half empty deli case to a bunch of grumpy elderly people, this is your place. In the south this would be a Luby’s or a Golden Corral. I’d recommend you skip it.

I have been to Zaidy’s in the past and wanted to give it a try today because I usually had great experiences. The server did his job but that’s where it ended. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash and it was pretty bad. The dish was bland and flavorless. The Corned Beef even lacked flavor on its own. I sent it back and ordered a Philly Cheesesteak. The cheesesteak was on a Keiser Roll that was fluffy. The meat was not cheesesteak meat it was roast beef that was shredded. The onions and peppers weren’t even sliced into pieces they were onion and pepper rings. They were also completely raw and not sautéed. The sandwich fell apart before I could even get to the second half. When I went to pay my bill the older gentleman at the desk didn’t say one word to me at all. Nothing. I have worked in restaurants all of my life and I will never eat here again. The quality of the food is poor. The customer service is the same unless they know you. I saw the guy and his family in the restaurant that posted that they weren’t even talked to and left without eating. Get it together Zaidy’s.

Zaidy’s is a great experience. You have to go, at least once! It’s like an old school diner and a kosher deli wrapped up into a Denver restaurant. :) The portion sizes are huge and the meals are solid, no matter if you get breakfast or lunch. This may be strange but you know what is amazing here? The toast. It’s perfect. Especially when they are making a sandwich on toasted bread. Like… amazing. I always order a side of rye toast here to slather with butter. Try it… you won’t be disappointed. You can get the usual fair… pastrami, bagels, black and white cookies… all around, tasty.

Most people writing or reading this review are probably from not Denver so they might not understand. But Zaidy’s has a wonderful array of delicious deli. Everyone loves corned beef but they have very good latkes and lox and pastrami. Beef tongue and egg salad. I took my fried egg sandwich and pastrami with me on the way to work. The place was crowded but we got a table right away. The people working there were very friendly.

This place is a Denver staple that kind of transports me to a diner you’d find in NYC, especially in the«Seinfeld» territory of the Upper East side of Manhattan. My family and I love to come here for a predictable, comfortable, and filling breakfast experience once in a while, and especially when we’re hungry and don’t want to wait to be seated or fed. I usually order the two egg breakfast with ham, which also comes with a generous portion of fried scalloped potatoes with onions and a side of toast. The wait staff and food are always the same, so if you’re looking for a satisfying meal with fast and good service at reasonable prices, you should definitely pay Zaidy’s a visit. Added bonus is that they never rush you out the door.

In the mood for authentic Jewish Deli? You gotta go to Denver’s longtime fave deli! I’ve tried many things but my go-to is the egg white veggie omelette … But this time tried the stuffed tomato with tuna salad… Delish, light, way tasty!

Such a friendly and welcoming dinner with great options The pastrami is simply delicious, heaps of pastrami on rye bread make the perfect sandwich with just enough flavour and fat. The corned beef pastrami combo sandwich on grilled rye was hearty, delicious and very filling. You get choices of salad, potato salad or fries as well and awesome pickles as well The lox, egg options and latkes also looked delicious and will try them next time.

Been here quite a few times over the years. Never had a bad meal nor a bad experience here. The food is good, the staff is great, and the owners are wonderful. It is very good food, a good Jewish deli in a town lacking good Jewish delis, and I continue to come back. Though I must admit, I don’t think I’ve ever come here of my own accord, without a parent or grandparent to suggest it in the first place. The Bagel is the only better option.

Yesterday I went to the ‘farmers’ market in the cherry creek mall parking lot which was probably the biggest joke of a market I have ever been too. The produce was all outrageously priced and all the prepared food was at least $ 10. I have already had enough of overpriced street food in Williamsburg so I left and went to this place instead because someone i delivered food to last week said it was great. The food was very good and a normal price. Also they don’t serve bottomless mimosas so there weren’t a bunch of douchey wanksters in there causing a long wait. I did not have time to waste because I was on the delivery biz clock and could have gotten an order at any moment.(I got no orders in an eleven hour shift). I wanted pancakes but that’s like eating a plate of sugar so I had a meat filled sandwich instead.

I’m a latke lover and this place has awesome latkes. They are not greasy… That’s key! They are pretty divine. I had their latke and lox combo on my last visit. Lox was delish, as was their latkes. Love their black/white cookie and try the Banaba bread too. Too much goodness packed into one place. I’m definitely in here when I’m in cherry creek. Love their pickle selection and their jam/preserves are homemade– yum. Their sauerkraut is legit. Love their sammiches and bagels too. Solid lunch or brunch place. Reminds me of delis from the east coast. They also serve Mexican inspired dishes… Hey why not, it’s colorado. I haven’t tried any but it’s still pretty great to have the option. Service is solid. Busy all the time, which is always a good sign!

Came here for breakfast on a Sunday around 11 and was pleased from the start because we were seated quickly even though the restaurant was super busy. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I ordered the fried egg sandwich and it was HuGE not to mention delicious and exactly what I had in mind but better. It came with breakfast potatoes which I usually don’t care for but these breakfast potatoes were amazing – super crispy and unlike any I had ever seen or tasted before. I give my meal 5 stars. Plus the water and soda cups are huge which I love. Def. will be coming back, the menu is huge and I can’t wait to come for lunch!

I am totally smitten. The half-sour pickles are fermented to perfection, retaining as much crispness as sour. Their latkes are thin and flavorful and light. The lox is fresh and delicate. The desserts… THEDESSERTS. The lemon pound cake is moist and has about a pound of butter in each bite. The apricot rugelach is a feat of perfect pastry making. The ‘dasayuno fuerte’ breakfast is as delicious as it is nutritious(get yourself some greens, son!). Now the coffee I did not care for. The rye bread was good but I like mine darker. The garlic pickles got a bit too sour. And the sauerkraut, though an awesome consistency, was sweeter than I prefer. The white barszcz was tomato’y(?! This Polish girl needs more pickle, potato, and perhaps egg in her soup) and overall lackluster(though the bites with the meat it in were improved — there was so little meat, though). That said, I’m hooked, addicted, the man at the counter had me when we went through our entire seating transaction in efficient silent gestures. A little island of New York in the middle of my least favorite part of town(luckily Cherry Creekers have not invaded Zaidy’s walls — kaynahora! — tons of regulars, senior and otherwise). Efficient, straight-forward, and caring service. I want to try everything on the menu. So I’m coming back tomorrow for my birthday lunch. Happy Birthday to me.

Zaidy’s Deli brings a solid, old school and credible Russian/Jewish deli experience to Denver’s culinary scene. When someone says«Pastrami» I don’t naturally think of Denver, Colorado. Don’t get it twisted, I have always maintained Denver has serious chops in their food scene, possibly the best in middle America outside of Chicago, but pastrami? I would be nervous prior to visiting Zaidy’s Deli in the tony area of Cherry Creek. The feel of the deli is laid back and decidedly chill for the neighborhood. You walk past a spinning pie rack and newspaper piles as you enter and the open kitchen window is a scene right out of the 1980’s on the eastern seaboard. It’s really great. The service matches the interior, no fuss and honest. All of the stardard deli fare is offered here. From Blintzes to Ruben, Chopped Tongue and Pastrami Sandwiches, you will find it on the vast menu. I must have ordered the Pastrami 25 times in the year I lived in Cherry Creek and it was always a lock. Warm, light and moist rye bread containing thickly cut slices of salty and delicate pastrami meat. Served with sliced pickles. Once you smear the top piece of bread with the supplied mustard, here is nothing here to not like. In fact, after ordering the pastrami the first time I visited Zaidy’s I never wavered from it. Why bother? There are countless reasons to dine in Cherry Creek and Zaidy’s Deli is a great one.
